My ipod has doubled up my music
My iPod touch 5th generation has doubled up my itunes library. I normally have around 900 songs and about 800 of them have doubled up. If I try to un-sync the music off my ipod it leave about 600 songs on there and they won't go away. Do I delete the 600 songs one by one? What do i do?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

My iPod has deleted all its music (not synced to itunes)

I just updated to the new iTunes and my iPod has deleted all its content.
My iPod is not synced to my itunes or laptop, so I just manually put it on.
Has my music been lost? If so, can I get it back? Anyone know how it deleted by itself!? I was uploading music, ejected the device and when I went to play music there was nothing on it.
ThanksAn iPod has a hard drive inside. Like a hard drive in a computer, it can have data corruption that cause files to be lost. It is really not wise to keep music and other media on the iPod without it being backed up on the computer. You can easily break or lose your iPod, or the iPod could have data issues like the one your experienced.
The cause may be a hardware problem. It can also be data only, which means using Restore on your iPod may make it work properly again. The only way to know is to use iTunes to Restore the iPod, which will erase the iPod and initialize the iPod's software.
Going forward, you should store your media on your computer and sync it to the iPod. Additionally, you should back up the valuable data (and not just iTunes data) on your computer. -
IPod has more than just music on it !
Ok, this is gonna sound weird, but my brother just bought a video iPod and he downloaded his music onto it from iTunes.
Now when he plays it, between EVERY song there are people's voices talking. All of them are in a foreign language also. Does anyone have a clue what could be causing this??? It's kinda spooky too !
Hp Windows XPOk, Restoring the iPod may do some good, but I highly doubt it. I doubt restoring it will eliminate the voices. The voices are likely to actually be from the source of the music. What I mean to say is, when using P2P programs for music or what ever, you aren't going to get (almost always) the Exact same quality as you would if you bought it/had the original. A lot of files get corrupt, people like to change things, and not only that but quality drops. Limewire will mess up your Hard drive too (the computer's hard drive). I'd say get the music from a reliable source instead rather than a P2P. Delete the files with the voices. It's not the iPod, it's the file.

I have plugged in my ipod into my windows computer, scanned and fixed it (which was recommended), now when I tried to sync it again, I couldn't because the memory was used up with 'other'. I don't know what this is and how I can get rid of it, I have no music, films, photos, contacts on it, so am completely stuck! Help me please!
A large amount of other usually signals corrupt software and/or files that were synced to the device. You'll need to restore the iPod via iTunse to reduce it down to a much much smaller size.

I udaped to ios5 and now my ipod has trouble playing my music,
Its on shuffle mode and when I choose a song, it skips to the second or just won't play. What should I do?
Bumping this up because I'm experiencing the same! Today I wanted to play an albumn, but it's like the shuffle is permanently on as well as repeat! I can't choose an albumn and hit play on the first song and have it play through the albumn. Instead, it shuffles the songs AND repeats them. This only happened after the update. Apple, you've got a B-U-G!

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on. -

My laptop recently crashed and is unsalvageable with my itunes library on it. My ipod still has all of my music still on it.
Is there a way that I can put the songs on my ipod onto itunes on my new computer without loosing them or having to buy them all over again?Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your iPod for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

My daughter got a new laptop for Christmas (windows 8). I would like to set up her own iTunes account on her laptop. Our dilema is she has been syncing her iPod to my account for 2 years now, therefore, she has an abundance of music (purchased through iTunes store) and movies (downloaded via digital download from DVD/BluRay purchases) that we don't want to have to purchase all over again. Is there any way to share some/all of my account with her so she can sync her iPod to her laptop in the future?
I have been reading about Home Sharing but I am not sure this is the approach I am after. Will home sharing work to allow her to alter and change the content on her PC without changing/altering it on mine? Will it allow her to sync her iPod with her PC?
I suppose I should also add that we are currently running 2 iPod touches, 2 iPads and an iPhone from my apple ID. I am not even sure if I would be able to add her PC as a device for home sharing if that is an option for us.

I've been trying to download flash player version 10.1. The download says installation complete, but it is not on my pc. I inactivated my virus protection & all pop up blockers, but it still won't work.
