Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try what yu tried again. If the logo still shows then it is time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Hey HoustonSmith, using to much power generally means a short. Do not use this cable, the lighting cables have a history of failure; shorting out. If within one year of purchase date take it to Apple, the cable also has a one year warranty, if short is do to manufacturing flaw and not abuse Apple will replace it free! Otherwise a new cable is around $30. You could also try a reset or restore, but don't think a glitch is your problem. If you do try to restore, just remember to make backup copies of all the info / data on this iPod to your computer first, then attempt to restore. Good luck. Cheers.

Reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

My ipod went black on the charger and now it wont turn on or charge even when connected to the computer it wont pull up or anything and holding the powerbutton and home button for 10 seconds dont work at all ive tried everything i can think of

Are you using the original cable?
You may have to hold the home and lock for longer than 10 seconds.

If a reset or restore of the device does not resolve the issue, your iPod likely needs servicing as the LCD screen may be damaged.

This was restoring for 5 hours then an error appeared saying it could not be restored. What should i do now? Take it back? I had the issue exactlly same as yours. My iPhone5 was died suddently after fully chagred . It couldn't be turned it on whatever tried . I called Apple technical support and it suggested me to bring my iPhone 5 to the nearest Apple store. In Apple store last night, the tichnical staff spent couple of hours tried to turn it on. Finally they decided to give me a new iPhone 5 to replaced the died one.
The big concern for me is I have a lot of private data in my died iPhone 5, I was asking if I can keep the died one but it seems Apple wants to take it back and "fix" it then give it some else as "service part" - my understanding it is refurbished phone.
Good thing for me was they eveually turn it on, so I am able to erase all my private data from the "died" phone. Make sure you erase all your private data before walking out store.

While updating my ipod i noticed that my ipod had froze at the end of it, i then decided to restart it. It began to restart and then the screen went white then restarted itself again and has been on this loop everytime i go to use it. How can i stop this?

Hi, when i was updating my ipod last night i had noticed it had been doing it for a while. I then realised that it had froze so i just thought to restart it. When I did this it restarted normally by having the apple icon appearing, then the screen went white for a few seconds and the ipod then turned off. Before i even touched another button the ipod restarted again and the white screen appeared again and this has been on a continuse loop everytime I touch a button on my ipod since last night. Please tell me that someone knows what to do!!

Try:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
