My Ipod has gone off and won't come back on, it also doesn't seem to be charging, how can i get it to come on?

I was listining to music then i paused my music and sat my ipod on my bed, when i cam back less than 15 minutes later my ipod was off, i tried to turn it on but it wouldnt come on so i put it on charger and its been on charger unresponsively for 2 days and conting now... it an almost brand new ipod and i have been taking really good care of it... please help me get it on..!

- First try resetting your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next try restoring your iPod via iTunes on your computer.  First from backup and then to factory defaults/new iPod. If the iPod doe not show in iTunes try pacing the iPod in recovery mode.  For recovery mode see:

my iphone 5 keeps randomly shutting off and won't turn back on unless I plug it in to the charger

I'm experiencing the same issue. It's one thing to have to re-power up but to not be able to do so without plugging in the charger when the battery is substantially full, is a real drag.

  • My iPod froze, turned off and won't turn back on

I was on my iPod which was fully charged and working well. But as I was turning the wheel and listening to a song, it froze. It froze so then I decided to reset it, so I did. When I reset it, it turned off, and when I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't. And I've been plugging it into the charger for weeks now, and nothing pops up to notify that it's charging. I don't have the money for a new one, so can someone please help me. I know there are topics similar to this, but they are still somewhat different.

  • Curve has shut off and won't turn back on

I have a Curve 8310 that was in the middle of an update today and froze up.  Since that time, I can not get the device to turn on or off, and it is flashing a red light 2 times, then a pause.  I have purchased another device today, but would like to have the opportunity to transfer all of the informaion from the 8310 onto my Storm.  Does anybody know what the flashing light means, and is it possible to recover the information?  Thanks in advance!

My phone just did the same thing! I was using an app and all of a sudden it turned off. Now when you turn it back on its just a light colored screen but nothing else. I tried resetting mine but it didn't do anything

  • My iphone 4 has turned off and won't turn back on

My power button also doesn't work so I have no idea how to get it working again!

This happened to me a few times when I first got my iPhone 4S. Both times I just waited it out but after about 24 hours it randomly turned back on. It's annoying, but wait a little bit to see if this happens so you don't have to worry about restoring and losing your stuff. If it does turn back on, try to get it replaced or fixed by Apple before it happens again!

  • Q5 turned off and won't switch back on

    Hi,
My friend went on holiday and the Q5 he was turned itself off and won't turn back on again.

Connect your Q5 to the OEM charging cable. Let it charge a few hours.
Then, with it still connected to the charger,
Restart: Press and hold the upper edge power button about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.
Do you see any LED or screen activity on thte deivce?

my Ipod nano 7th generation turned off and won't turn back on. what should I do?

If you have done the reset and nothing appears and you are sure it still has a charge and it doesn't turn on, you may request for a replacement if it still covered by the warranty. Cheers!

  • My iphone has gone off and will not recharge or turn on again?

My iphone has gone off and will not recharge or turn on again. What do I do to fix this?

Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.  You might need to hold the buttons for as long as a minute.

I have not heard of a good reason for this to happen or how to fix. 3 days later my screen lights up and says to connect to charger.... so its back "for now". Best music player on the market when it works.

  • My iphone has suddenly turned off and won't turn back on

This is a replacement phone as mine broke after updating I've only had it 3 months and now it's suddenly gone off and won't turn on I've tried the reset but it's totally blank if I return to the shop will I be made to pay again for a replacement??

You say your tried a reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons until you see the Apple logo? How long did you hold the buttons, it could take up to 30 seconds of holding for it to work. If this doesn't do it, then plug the device into the charger for a minimum of 30 minutes, then try the reset again. If you still cannot reset the device, make an appointment for the Genius Bar. Paying for a replacement depends on the warranty status of that device.
If your other device was under warranty, the replacement would have a warranty of 90 days or the balance of the original phone warranty, whichever is the longest.

  • HT5538 Hubby's phone has switched itself off and won't switch back on. It has been charged but nothing works.

Hubby's phone has switched itself off and won't switch back on. As far as we know it's fully charged, can't check as got a blank screen but does buzz when charger is plugged in. Has been left on charge for quite some time. As you will gather, I am sending this on his behalf.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

  • My I phone5c has turned itself off and won't turn back on,have only had it 3 weeks, any ideas anyone?

My iPhone 5c has turned itself off and won't turn back on, any ideas anyone?

    Hey Jswalker1969,
Thanks for the question. If your iPhone is not powering on, see the following troubleshooting steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    4. After at least 30 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.
