My iPod is blinking-Cannot do anything!

My iPod is just blinking! There's nothing I can do about it!! I cannot reset it and it doesn't make a difference if I plug it to my computer!! I don't get it - I've only had for 2 weeks!
It's the iPod Video, 30 GB - Black... Can someone help? it has been blinking for like an hour now and doesn't seem to stop - Cannot turn it off or on...Nothing!!

Yeah it's the same problem... What I did was to call the apple hotline. They told me they "never heard of that problem before". To my luck I haven't had it for 14 days so I returned it. Now I got my money back(maybe a bit optimistic or stupid but I) bought a new one hoping that it will run smoothly on my computer now.
MAN there are many people having problems with their iPods. If my new one doesn't run perfect I will get my money back and NEVER EVER by an Apple product again. I cannot belive that people are having so many problems with their iPods. Does anyone know if it's the hardware in it that suck???

How do I disconnect the battery so the power shuts off? At this point that is probably the ONLY thing I can do. I finally stumbled across a fix for this problem, and in case someone else is frustrated at some point by a similar issue I'm posting what finally worked to enable me to bring iTunes up at any time (without rebooting first).
The solution was to go to the preferences to uncheck "search for shared libraries".
I'm glad the problem is fixed, but Apple developers really should include a timeout function on iTunes search for a shared libraries. At least a visual dialog to confirm that the application is in the process of searching for a shared library on the network would help provide clues as to what is causing the spinning beach ball to appear right about the time the application window should pop up.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Suppose it's a HDD crash. Boot from Install DVD which came with your MacBook(Press C during startup) and open DiskUtility to repair your HDD if it's able to mount.

IPOD Help~(cannot view anything except a white blank screen)

Alright...I never expected to post up something in this discussion thread this soon...since I got my 30gig iPOD just three days ago...and curious as I am to things...I think I broke it, hah~
Anyways...I need some help.
Here's the story.
I was updating my iPOD to a newer version, I'm assuming...and during the updating process...I accidently 'x'ed out of the box...and now my iPOD screen does not show anything except for a white blank screen. If I hold down the menu and center button for six seconds...It shuts down...but when I release/let go of the buttons...it makes a ring sound and goes back to the white blank screen.
And also...when I go to the start menu and look under the iPOD folder...it has an update your ipod thing...I clicked it...and it pops up with a screen, saying stuff like it's 'initializing'...and tells me to plug in my iPOD with the usb chord...but I get a message saying 'can't mount iPOD' or 'internal error'
I think I've tried anything there is to solve this problem...like the five R's...etc.
I do not want to think that I broke my iPOD already. So if anyone knows, please reply back.

Hmm - I see the shapes, I'm not sure why they're disappearing when you draw them - too simple of a file to point at some other issue. It seems like something with the installation went wrong or is missing (the player that renders the Stage for AS3 documents). I think the first thing will be to get the update. Can you try downloading from this page instead of through the update manager? http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html Then try running the executable that you download. If this doesn't fix it, Flash may need to be fully removed and reinstalled.

First of all, look on the iPod to see if the song is actually on there. (The last Sync of my Classic resulted in "song not copied... because it cannot be found." The song had previously been on the iPod. I checked and despite the fact that iTunes could not find the file, the song was still on my iPod. I checked the folder and the song was exactly where t was supposed to be. So I simply set iTunes to find it again. What happened? I don't know, iTunes simply threw a wobbly!)
Second, try another Sync. Does this change anything? If the song was on the iPod, does a second Sync remove the message? If the song was not on the iPod after the first Sync, does the second one put it on there?

i copied a song to a folder from the internet then added the folder to itunes. Then when i try to put the song on my iPod nano i get the message (song title) was not copied to the iPod "Mike's iPod" because it cannot be played on this iPod. i can play the entire song on the itunes library though, and there is a little wave icon thing next to the song title. How can I make it where I can copy this song to the iPod?

Ok, I tried changing the file format and when I select the song and go to the advanced menu it says convert selection to... but the text isnt selectable but is when I select a different song. I guess this means its protected from being converted? If so is there anything else I can do to be able to get it onto my iPod?
Also does it matter what format I try to convert it too?

Ther does seem to be quite a lot of comments about this issue
It seems the charger is a little slow and takes upto 4 hours to charge
closing all apps and leave the ipod in standby seems to off the best charging experience

In my view apple should have included a better charger for the price, the new 12w adaptor will reduce the charge time and resolve you problem, however its about $15
