After my iPot Touch 2 get a water damage i put it into rice.
Now i can start my Ipod but then there comes a picture which says i should connect it to iTunes...
I try this but my Itunes cant connect to my Ipod :S
Itunes says : he cant conneect because i must unlock my ipot with a PIN ...
but my ipod doesnt do anything just show the pictur ... :S

See if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow a restore. For recovery mode:

It appears that something happened to yur computer/iTunes files. It happens sometimes. To recovery:
- Import the old music into the current iTunes library
- Make sure all the apps are also in the library
- If in the USA and therplaces where iCloud has benn released you can redownload most iTunes puchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- You can always redownload apps at no additional cost as long as you are singned into the same iTunes account the originally purchased them.
- After all the suff in in the iTunes library, make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes.
- Restore the iPod from backup and restore as necessary.

My ipod is broken for the 4rth time

well, yet again my ipod is broken. same problem as last time, same $30 bucks down the drain to fix it. i dont get it, my computer has all the system requirements. when i plug in my ipod into the computer to upload songs, my ipod screen is blank, yet it makes cranking noises... and it totally freezes my computer. the second i unplug it my computer unfreezes. since this is the 4rth time, think if i complain... apple will repair this time for free? im so sick of losing my beloved music for like 2-3 weeks.

Anyone else's case would be completely situational and may or may not apply in your case. Apple takes every request on a case-by-case basis, and evaluates based on a number of factors that may be complete different in your case. So it really won't matter what someone else might have been able to negotiate, since that could well not apply in your case.

they usually give like refurbished ones when you bring it in for repair...you shouldnt have to pay but whatever. im not sure if they will still give you one if your warrenty is over but it is worth a try. go to a near by apple store and ask them for an exchange. if you dont get one. i suggest you get a new ipod..it also depends if its old or not...hope this helped

have you tried to reset it by holding the ome and power buttons down at the same time for about 1min or untill apple logo appears, also have you tried to restore the device?
if you attempted to restore the device and its requireing your passcode you may have to put the device into recovery mode, turn the device off, hold home button and plug into computer hold the button down untill the connect to itunes logo comes up
if the screen still does not work its the device and you should prolly either replace it or see if the apple retail store will repair your device

IPod suddenly broken?

I got my iPod fixed somewhere where I obviously shouldn't have, and I'm now having the following problems:
Extremely weak wifi - The wifi is much poorer than it normally is. Before, I could get wifi in my room (2nd floor) and now I can barely get 1 bar in the room next to the router (basement)
Home button slipping - While my home button isn't popping out, it slips and the tech behind it can be seen. :C
Date? - When I got the iPod back the date was something like Jan 1 1970.
More problems will likely arise, but for now I am out $160 and have a broken iPod. Please help.

"Covert High Bitrate to AAC 128K...." for iPod Shuffle Broken in iTunes 7

I store all my music in Apple lossless for home listening, then use the covert to AAC 128K when laoding my shuffle...great feature, the reason I went the iTunes/shuffle route. This worked good, although a little slow in 6. It is now broken in iTunes 7, it takes an hour per song - not usable. Any ideas on this?

It seems to me that you've ended up somewhere between AIFF and AAC. Because WMP supports buttloads of formats, it will play the files, the iPod is much more finicky.
There are two settings on the importing tab preferences pane: one that chooses the file format, the other at what bit rate. Simply select AAC and 128 or higher and reimport music from CD's. I would recommend deleting the AIFF versions BEFORE you reimport however, so you or iTunes don't get confused as to which one is which since the titles will all appear exactly alike.

That doesn't answer the question. It only gives information on dealing with problems which I've looked at about 10 times and purchasing iPods within Europe. I really need an address to return my iPod to in order to obtain service.

Ipod Mini: Broken orange ribbon cable?

So yesterday, I had the bright idea that I would replace my iPod Mini battery. I mean, it was fine otherwise, and it had all my favourite songs on it.
Long story short, I didn't read the directions thoroughly enough and I broke the orange ribbon cable that connected the motherboard to the casing. Is there any way to get a replacement?

You may want to search eBay for a broken iPod mini. Most iPods that use a hard drive for storage are broken for a bad hard drive, so the other parts are usually working. Find one that sounds like a bad hard drive, or worn out battery. This way, you'll have some other "spare parts." Find a seller who looks like a "person" selling their personal iPod mini, not a repair or parts scavenging "shop."
NOTE: There are two generations of iPod mini. I'm not sure about variations in the internal parts, between the two gens.
