My ipod is flashing the apple logo after I restored...please read, theres more info.

My sister's ipod touch 32gb broke, it was stuck on the Apple logo when you try to turn it on or plug it in. I have followed tutorials on how to resolve this issue, and I got the ipod to the "connect to itunes" screen, so I plugged it in my PC and restored the ipod. It said it has been successfully restored and needs to remain connected to the computer while the ipod restarts. It has been over a half an hour and theres the infamous apple logo on the ipod, but it flashes black every 15 seconds or so. My sister will be extremely happy if I fix it for her, and I promised I will.

Try placing the iPod in DFU mode and then restoring to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • My ipod touch flashes the apple logo and the lock screen. How do I fix it?

My ipod touch 4th Generation will flash from the Apple Logo to my locked screen.  Although when I plug in my headphones everything works perfectly.  I have not had this ipod very long and i have already recieved a new one from Apple before. I have also tried reseting it as well.

First try restoring the iPod from backup.
Next try restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.

I'm not sure if it charged when I hooked it up to my roommate's computer, but it definately didn't register either. If I put it on the dock it plays so the port is fine, but that still doesn't help me sync it to my computer.

I need help my ipod touch 5g running ios 7.0.4 wont turn on all it has been doing is flashing the apple logo on a black background i cant stop this does anybody know what to do?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Hi,
Had the same issue.  Hard reset not working.
What I did was: start your mac/pc and open iTunes, hold down the home button of the iPad (and while holding the button), connect it to the PC with the cable.
Keep pressing until you get a pop-up asking to upgrade or restore.
    Hope this helps for you!

    Hello LaugesenDK
Follow the steps in the article below to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then you should be able to restore your iPhone. If you have a back up you can put your back up to get your data back after it completes it restore process.
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

  • TS3694 iTunes says my iPod has error 1621 and it continues to flash the apple logo

My 4th generation (I think?) ipod nano blinks the apple logo continually.  I gave it to my 9 yr old and she may have killed it.  I have reset the ipod pressing the Menu and Select buttons which will stop the blinking and give me a solid logo signal momentarily and then it returns to the blinking.  I was able to get it to sychronize and charge, but as soon as it was finished, it began to blink again.  I tunes lists it as Error 1621.  Is the ipod dead?

Try posting in the iPod Nano forum. This is the iPod touch forum..

  • My iPod keeps showing the apple logo + a blank screen and the lock screen keeps freezing when trying to unlock it.

Last night I turned my iPod touch 4g off randomly and then when I went to turn it back on and went to unlock the screen it froze up right there and will not unlock to the home screen to where all my apps and all that are. Ever since that happened the iPod keeps showing the apple logo repeatedly, as well as a screen being completely blank when still turned on. Also when i plug in the iPod to the computer it recognizes it for a second but the iPod does nothing and shuts off and repeats in showing the apple logo and blank black screen. I can get it to the home screen where the slide to lock button is but every time i even attempt to slide it, it freezes up and doesn't do it.
I also having been trying to restore it by plugging in the cord and pressing the home button to get the screen with the usb cord to pop up but no matter what i do, it will not let me turn the iPod off period because every time i keep trying to do that it just shows the apple logo and all of what i said up above again. I have also seen it get a white screen to show a few times , which i assume means the white screen of death. I have never seen that screen before this happened.
I know this is not making any sense whatsoever but this is very hard to put into words in explaining. I have searched the internet but i can't find a single problem that sounds like this one in solving to fix it. The iPod is on right now as i'm typing this. I haven't attemtped to push the buttons down again to fix as i would assume maybe to just leave it alone as i sleep through the night in hopes of it maybe working or even dying. I've only had this iPod for 4 months now and i just don't understand why it won't let me turn it off completely or work properly for me to restore it.

  • HT4061 found old iphone 4. want to use it for wifi. But it wont let me into my iphone. it says activation required and then plug into itunes, then as soon as I plug it into itunes it flashes the apple logo on and off and wont be detected on itunes.

found olf iphone 4 or 4s in the back of my parents closet. They told me I could now have it back and its been a year since the last time I saw it. It wont turn on unless it is plugged up to a wall plug in. But as soon as I turn it on it says activation required then it says plug into itunes. After I try doing that it plugs into my computer but flashes the apple logo on and off. It wont even turn on all the way when plugged into computer...only the wall. ANY IDEAS?): and no I didnt steal/find this phone. It is mine. I dont have the guts to steal but a lot of people online have accused me.

You may need to force it into recovery mode. See here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17766427#17766427
