My ipod is frozed on a white screen

My ipod is frozed on a white screen and i want to know how can i fixe it and how long does it takes for the battery to drain

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If you can't get it to shut down or restart when holding down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons and you can't get it recognized in iTunes to restore it, the iPod may have suffered a hardware failure and will need to go to Apple for service. Someone else here may have additional suggestions, though.
There is no "fifth generation" iPod touch, by the way, just for the sake of clarity; not yet, anyway.
    Regards.

after restarting and restoring ipod touch, display is still white screen. I have done this several times. One time, the display went to the home screen, but immediately went back to the white screen when I plugged it into the charge cord. The music continued to play however. help!

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • My ipod nano 6th gen has white screen

please help my ipod nano 6th gen has white screen and wont go away, ive put into disk mode (dfu) and restored on itunes and still no resolution....ive tried hard reseting and still nothing

It might also be a good idea to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore it once more in iTunes.
Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display, meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service either via Apple or a third party repair service. Here is Apple's repair pricing.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
Note that they don't actually repair the device, but exchange it for one of the same generation, model, and capacity.  A third party service will actually replace the damaged part for a little less.  Google "iPod screen repair" and you should get a number of results to work with.

  • My Ipod touch 4G has a white screen.

My Ipod touch 4G has a white screen.  I've followed all the troubleshooting tips - turning off (hard to tell when all you see is white), hard reset, and restore.  I updated to the latest software versions.  Itunes recognizes the ipod.  I restored it.  Nothing changed.  Still have the white screen.  It hasn't been mishandled - no cracked screen, no water, hasn't been dropped.  Any other suggestions or is it time to call Apple?

If you have done al the hardware troubleshooting, call Apple to get it serviced.

  • My ipod is stuck on a white screen

so i was playing on my ipod touch 4g that vie had for about 3-4 months i think and i was playing an app. i was also playing music in the background at the same time. i don't know if this app supported your own music in the background, when i was playing it froze the screen i then pressed the home button , of which did not work so i thin held the off button for about 10 seconds i really don't know how long. i set it down and didn't put my attention towards it (i thought it would be better to wait it out) when i came back to it it was frozen to a white screen . i pressed the turn off button again but it didn't work. after that i went to my computer and plugged it in to see if it would respond or sync with itunes to snap my ipod out of it. its been about 15 minutes and its still on the white screen . now heres my question. what should i do? is my ipod broken? should i take it to a nearby apple store? please help i don't know if i have a warranty on it (my dad bought it for me so i don't know either way). again please help and i will be very grateful for any help whatsoever.
one more thing the operating ios system for it is either 5.0.1 or 5.1.1

If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

  • IPod Nano (6th gen.): White Screen saying "OK to disconnect." when not connected.

My 6th Generation iPod Nano (Dopi is his name) took an unfortunate ride through my washing machine a few weeks back (one of the draw backs of it being so small and lightweight... it can sometimes elude the quick pre-laundry pocket check). At first, it was okay. I immediately threw it into a ziploc bag full of rice to pull all the moisture out of it. The screen was a little blotchy for a while, but it eventually seemed to work out all the kinks and was back to full operation within 12 hours. I was using it fairly regularly after that for the next couple days with no issues.
A few days later, my iPod was getting low on fuel and had a "Connect to Power" screen on it. So I plugged it into my iMac, and everything was working fine, I started to manage some playlists in iTunes while it charged, and that's when I noticed the screen was odd.  Instead of the usual "Do Not Disconnect" screen that I'm used to, the screen had an all-white background, with a black "Do Not Disconnect." message on it.  I thought it was odd. But I ejected it, and it said "Ok to disconnect." with a black checkmark. Same white background, black text. (also a black battery life icon in the top right corner)  I disconnected, and it just told me to connect to power, again.
Finding that weird, I let the iPod's power completely drain, figuring that would fix the issue. It did not.  As soon as I plugged it back in, the white screen came back.  I let it power up to full, and after I eject and disconnect it, the "OK to disconnect" screen comes back, even after I've disconnected, and it stays there.  I can't operate anything on it.
I've tried everything I know how to do:  I've let the power drain, and recharged to full. I've tried resetting it. I tried restoring it to factory settings. And I tried to reset it and put it into disk mode, but the black and white "OK to disconnect." screen comes back before I can even get it into disk mode.
Before I restored to factory settings, I could still manage all the files on my iPod. I could add songs, remove them, make playlists and everything when I had it connected to iTunes, I just can't do anything with the iPod itself. So, my little Dopi is in a coma right now. He's still alive, he just won't wake up.  I don't want to pull the plug on him.
Any suggestions?  Anyone else have this problem?
It's not easy for me to get to an Apple Store, so I thought I'd try this before I take it to any geniuses.
