My ipod is frozen and nothing works
I just received my ipod and I think I was a little to excited and rushed while connecting it to my computer. I am not sure what I did wrong but it frooze and everything I've tried to unfreeze it won't work. What should I do?

Two days ago my ipod completely froze. I tried to reset it but when I plugged it into my computer it said that the device has malfunctioned? ***?!? I cant do anything to it. when I toggle the hold button the little lock symbol doesnt even show up. I tried plugging it into my ihome but that didnt do anything. I cant turn it off and the back light doesnt come on. The battery still hasnt died and its been 2 days I have no idea what to do. Ive tried plugging it into my laptop and my friends computers but it still says the same thing
i have a 2nd gen nano 4GB,
my daughter has 1st gen nano 1GB.
i've been trying to reset?, restore?, get her's to work.
i charged it overnight on my iHome2go. (plugged in computer, i couldn't tell if it was charging.)
i have two USB cords for both iPods, both cords work with my (2nd gen) nano. i have reviewed all? the different steps to get her's working. i don't believe it's a computer or an iTunes prob. 2nd gen nano is charging and syncing just fine.
her screen had the apple on it before i did the reset steps. when i hit both buttons the apple disappeared. now there is nothing on the screen and no way to know if the battery is charged or if it's working at all. thanks for any help,

I updated my itunes for my Ipad while connected to my computer. Now my ipad is frozen on an iTunes logo, an arrow, and a usb cord. Nothing seems to fix it. What can I do. All my business calander, etc is stored on my Ipad. HELP!
I don't fully understand what the System Reset does but I've found that it cures many ills. It's easy, quick and harmless:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default. -
I have "well this is embarassing" and then nothing - frozen and nothing works
all I get is the "well this is embarassing . . . " message and a rotating circle comes up where my mouse should be pointing - no Firefox bar across the top - just this damed circle
A possible cause is that you are first closing all Firefox windows and then close the Firefox application.
Some have reported that closing Firefox (Firefox > Quit) while the browser window is still open works for them.

hi! i went to go slide the thing to unlock my iphone 4 and it wouldnt slide, it froze up and everything is not working. i tried plugging it in but it is still frozen and nothing will work. how do i fix this?
My recommendation is to restart the iPhone. All you do is hold down the top button and hold down the home button for 5 seconds untill it automatically shuts down. Then click the top button untill you see a grey apple on your screen.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Then restore the iPod. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

i notice that you're running McAfee. if you run into an odd problem where you can't see the download controls (there's a blank blue box on the itunes download page, for example), try:
