I am having the exact same issue, I have had many issues with this Ipod touch ever since I got it, lately it usually is just that the charge holds for about 20 minutes then dies. Now I used my ipod last night and it worked perfectly and now all of a sudden I woke up this morning took the ipod out of my docking station and the same problem has happened. I even took my ipod into work to see if it was my home wifi, but no the issue is still happening. Let me know if you found a solution. Yes you can still purchase replacement batteries your iPod from third party repair companies. Apple does not offer replacement parts.
Do a Google search for iPod battery replacement and you should get a plethora of results. There are many good deals on Amazon and eBay.

It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this.

If you have a backup of your computer, here's the location of the iTunes backup folder:

No way to retreive the data, but if you have been backing up to icloud it may still have your old password. Go to icloud.com wipe it and restore from backup. Wipe takes couple minutes, restore from backup a bit longer.

My iPod Touch was stolen last night. Unfortunately, on my iPod was my e-mail account, which was synced to the "Mail" app. I don't want the thief to be able to access my e-mail, so I changed my e-mail password on Gmail.
But is there anything else I can do? I'm scared that even though I changed the password, the Mail app will still be able to access my Gmail account.
The same goes for Twitter, for me.

You can wipe the iPod only if you had already set up ther FindMyiPod feature. and wifi is on and some other conditions are met.
