My iPod is requireing a new password to sign on
recently my iPod is requireing a new password to sign-on. It is not the 4 digit password of the past. I have tried everything and if you get it wrong it makes you wait 60 minutes before you can try again. any help?
Connect the iPod to the computer and restore via iTunes. If necessary, which I think is necessary in your case, place the iPod in Recovery Mode to allow the restore.
I do not know why it happened.

No offer to save new password for google toolbar after deleting old one
After deleting my old gmail and toolbar password in the password manager. I haven't received an offer to save the new password when signing in on the toolbar.
Thanks again. The only e-mail addresses are associated with my domain - atlantichouse.org.uk. I've typed in "atlantichouse" and it returns no data, so I guess they've all been deleted.
I don't use a firewall; I have updated Thunderbird earlier today as part of my attempt to solve this problem (it began when both my wife and I were unable to access mail, using different laptops - which I suppose suggests that the problem may not be at our end - though surely it should still be asking me for a PW) but not for some time previously. -
Have the oldest ipod touch. . daughter forgot password to enable it. It's now been disabled for 22K minutes. I'm trying to reset as a new device, but iTunes is telling me it can't do anything w/it b/c it's "disabled". Does anyone know a way around this?

Can I update my older ipod touch to play new games that require ios 4.3?
Can I update my older ipod touch to play new games that require ios 4.3? After I purchased games for my son's ipod, they would not upload due to ios. How can I update that without purchasing a new touch?
iOS 4.3 requires a third generation or newer iPod touch; you don't need to buy a brand new device in any case.

I have 2 ipod touches. I backed up the new one with old's info. The old one will not unlock with the password I had wrote down and I tried my new ones password. How can I reset the old ipod without affecting the new one and how can I unlock the old one?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I changed laptops and went from Vista to Windows 8. It requires icloud. I did icloud setup but it will not allow me access and wants to give me a new password. That is OK but it will not send me the promised password even though itunes recognizes my password
This has been posted for almost 2 weeks and not one reply. Thanks a bunch! As a newbie to OOo and Mozilla, I am not impressed with responsiveness to support needs with either. So, the future of my new experiment with going non-Microsoft remains an open question.
Oddly enough, the problem mysteriously went away. I have followed the same routine and changed no settings. Suddenly all of the downloaded spreadsheets were no longer read-only. So I consider the matter resolved. -
My apps are not updating as I have no longer access to my eariler apple Id and now I am using a new apple Id which is allowing to download apps but while updating those apps my iPod wants eariler apple Id password to update what should I do ?
Hi Kanishk,
Those apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were purchased under. You can either delete them and re-purchase them, or you can go to Manage your Apple ID and reset the password on the old Apple ID so you can use it to update your apps: Apple - My Apple ID
If you decide to continue to use them under the old ID password, I would suggest that when you reset that password, you change it to be the same password as the one you are currently using. That way when apps need to be updated you will only need to know one password and you won't have to be concerned with which Apple ID is displaying.
Cheers,

Using Itunes, I copied all my apps from my Ipod touch to a new Iphone 4. Problem is all the apps on the Iphone are starting up like a new install. I would think my "password" app and "lose it" app would have the past data transferred to the Iphone. Is this not possible??

I downloaded an app for my daughter and when I went to install it, it said that it couldn't be installed because it required a newer version of software. So, I went and checked the software for both iTunes and her iPod touch. It said that both were the latest versions. So, what do I do now? I wouldn't mind so much if it was a free app but this one I paid for and it was one that my daughter really wanted!!! So, please tell me what I need to do.
My experience is that you may have the latest software update for your ipod touch but some apps only work with the newest ipods. A nice little way to keep people buying the newest latest thing right? It usually tells you that it's not compatible with the ipod before you download it but I also only use free apps. It wouldn't surprise me if they let you pay for it before you found out. At this point I don't think I would be trying to figure out how to make it work. I would be looking for a refund or on the phone with them demanding they walk you through whatever it takes to get it working. I hate that your daughter can't use the app she really wanted. I had the same problem with a Nook. I bought one that turned out not to let you download or play games. My daughter was really disappointed. On the bright side, she took her points and bought books and is reading a lot more. I hope you have a positive outcome in all of this. I hope this helps.

My wireless password in only 6 lowercase letters, but my iPod touch requires me to enter 8 before allowing me to join. Therefore it will not let me log on to the wireless network, any solutions?
What encryption are you using on the router?
If WEP you have to set the router to use the first key and you have to enter the first key as the password on the iPod. See:

New password and email address won't transfer to ipod
Hello,
my mom owns an 8GB itouch. Recently I changed her account password and email address. However, this information won't transfer to her ipod; it still asks for the old password before downloading an app. The problem with this is, that she doesn't remember her old password, or her new one for that matter. I've tried to access her new account but now iTunes tells me that the account is locked and I won't be able to get a new password.
Thank you so much for any help you could give me!I did reset the iPod back to factory settings, and after that all selected tracks in my iTunes Library were properly synchronised again.
Still wondering though if there'd been a less 'drastic' measure.
