My iPod is showing a USB cable with an arrow pointing to the iTunes logo

My iPod is showing a USB cable pointing to an iTunes logo, this happens everytime i turn it on, i can get nothing else. I have
done all the diagnostics and i have reset everything, nothing makes it work. It will not sync to the computer, but i know there is nothing wrong with my computer because i have an iPod nano which works fine. Please help.

Hey,
So you plug it into the computer with itunes open and nothing happens?
Make sure your iTunes is upto date and try again.
