My ipod is stuck on low battery!!!!! and wont charge

this might be a lil long but please bare with me!
my ipod wont charge. i whiped out my computer last weekend and had to put all my songs back onto my ipod. it was fully charged and worked fine for me.. now my battery is dead and ive plugged it into my computer and right before the ipod died it said i needed to restore it. and i couldnt bc my internet was down. now my ipod battery is dead and i cant charge it.. does anyone kno what to do? and when i plug my ipod in, it shows a battery with a circle on it and under it it says very low battery please wait.. and there is that little flower looking thing and it shows as if it was loading but nothing is happening it wont charge and i cant restore it.. is their any other way to do it??? i charged it mostly on my elbow that i had in my car but i dont have that anymore!! please get back to me, id appreciate it..

I dont know if this can help anybody, but I got the same issue. I sent the iPod to Apple for repair twice, and they sent it back to me saying their was noting wrong with it. I had the time to sync it once, then it got stuck on the Apple logo, and after a while the "very low battery" message showed.
It turn out the I got a playlist in iTunes of more then 65000 song (I dont know how my sons did it...) and it somehow messed the iPod completelly.
To reset it, I force the iPod into diskmode: you reset it using the center-menu buttons combo, then immediatly press the center and play buttons. It turns the iPod into disk mode and then you can restore it in iTunes.
Hope this help

    My iPod is sad.
What does this picture on my iPod mean?
Also, there is a pretty comprehensive post written by another forum member which is about the sad iPod icon. Be aware that it's quite involved and contains some info that will almost certainly void the warranty. If your iPod is still within the warranty period, you should use that option first.

  • IPod touch stuck on low battery screen

I have had an ipod touch for a year now, and whenever I used to charge it, it took 2 minutes to charge fully and used to last 5 minutes. Now, I haven't charged it for a month because my charger broke. Now when I link it up via USB to my PC, it has a red battery sign on the screen with a thunder sign underneath it, and it stays stuck on this screen. Another problem is that the laptop that it is synced with is broken. How do I fix this problem - resetting the iPod? Getting a new charger? Replacing the battery? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

it sound like you may need a new battery if its not holding charge .

  • My iPod touch 5 has run out of battery and wont charge what do I do?

My iPod touch has run out of battery and is failing to charge or turn on! What do i do?!

    - See:

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • What dose it mean when ipod just blinks the apple symbal and wont charge

My ipod wont charge and now when on charger will just blink the Apple symbol

    Hi Julesvamc,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
When an iPod only shows an Apple logo, this usually means that the device needs to be restored.
You can find more information about this symptom, as well as step by step instructions for restoring an iPod at this page:
iPod only shows an Apple logo and doesn't start up - Apple Support
You may need to restore or update your iPod, iPod mini, or iPod nano by placing it in Disk Mode if only an Apple logo appears when you turn it on.
    All the best,

  • Fathers iPod 4th gen unexpectedly shut off and wont charge...

My father a few minutes ago encountered a problem were he was watching a movie and his iPod shut and turned black after it has been charging for about two hours on his computer. I now won't charge nor turn on after I prees the on/home button for a restart. What should we do? Also we purchased this during Christmas.

I read up on some warranty info apple provides, and they warrant that batteries are not replaceable for free unless it's a factory flaw. They get you with the 90-day warranty that doesn't help at all because they always find some way to make it your fault. So, I'm guessing to just bring it back to an Apple store or the place of purchase. For my father it's Best Buy. I'm really surprised this has happened to my fathers iPod. I have an iPhone and I haven't had any problems at all.

  • HELP!!! iPod is stuck on black screen and wont work!!!

I've had my nano for 2 years and it's gotten locked up and I pressed buttons until it worked, but never like this! For the past 3 days my ipod has been stuck on a black screen, and I made sure it wasn't on hold. I've been plugging it into EVERYTHING!! My iHome, my wall plug-in, and my computer but it never works! When I plugged it into my computer, it didn't even detect an ipod plugged in! After that I hit random buttons for half and hour. So, before I throw it out the window in a fit of rage, any advice?!

Have you tried pressing the menu button and the center button at the same time?
If you hold them down for about ten or so seconds the gray apple will appear and things will start working again..
The same thing happened to me today Lucky me I work with an I pod Crew and they helped get it running

  • My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?

I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.
    Thanks

''Well When i plug in my ipod touch the battery life is low..i let it sit a wyhle. And it starts up to the apple logo and it stay there some time then it restartsback over to the very low battery and repeat(Over&Over)

Can you reset the device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
If this does not work, try to connect in recovery mode, explained here: iOS: Unable to restore
