My Ipod is very messed up

I regretfully downloaded the new 1.1 software onto my ipod. I let it go on but ir froze for the longest time. I left it over night and in the morring i disconnected. Now my screen is only white, It beeps when i reset it and my comp wont recognize it. Please help me resolve this issue

hmmm...If you are absoluelty sure...remember when the reset looks like it has finished running the screen stays dark and you can faintly see a slider bar filling up which you need to let happen without unplugging the power adaptor.
I can only see two options:
1. Try running the install from the original CD to get 1.0 ack on or call Apple for support.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

my ipod mini i MESSED UP! when i try to charge it on my computer OR my speakers it charges, but when i turn it on, it says that it has no battery left and i need to connect it to a power source! Last night, i stared chaging it and i took it out at 9 tonight and it still syas that i need to charge it. I have tried refreshing it but that doesn't work. It says that its charging, but it does't work! It even says it has a full battery!

ok, i did all of the stuff on that page and it reset with everything better,
then no music would load so i deleted everything and imported all of my backup music onto my itunes library.
and now when i open itunes the songs won't get onto the ipod...
it says that my ipod cannot be read from or written to and when i try again it only copies about 120 songs then it says the ipod is complete. ok to disconnect

IPod is very slow

Since updating, my ipod runs VERY slow... anything i try to go into takes a few seconds to load, scrolling is very slow etc...
what's wrong?

My brand new 60GB iPod takes 20 seconds or more sometimes to start playing a song. Sometimes while it's in one of these pauses, it then skips over the first track and jumps to the second track of an album or a playlist. I'm not having problems with scrolling speed, just when starting to play music.
Once it gets playing it seems fine as long as I don't skip from track to track. I don't know how it performed without the new firmware, because the minute I took it out of the package and connected it to iTunes, I was prompted to update. Also, I immediately dumped 44GB of music into it, but it seems silly that that would cause this, it's meant to hold up to 60GB (55GB really) of music?

IPod very messed up

okay, so the other day i went to turn on my iPod and it said the battery was very low, so i went to plug it into the computer to charge, and it got stuck on the "do not disconnect" screen. i attempted to reset the iPod and all it did was flash the apple screen and then the screen went blank. so i just chalked it up to the battery being dead, so i then plugged it into my wall charger, but unfortunately it never started charging. after 2 days it still isnt showing a charge and it wont turn on at all. ive tried resetting it twice since all this happened, and it beeped at me, whirred and then went silent with no more response. i cant do the basics because theres no charge on the ipod. help please!!!

I don't know for fact but, based on what I've seen here on the forums, I believe that your battery is shot. Battery life is directly related to the quantity of full charges and that translates to eighteen months with "typical" use. Apple's price is $59 + $7 S&H. If you're in the U.S., call 800-275-2273.

My very messed up ipod nano

I've had my Ipod nano for about a month, I havent used it that mcuh, havent dropped it, gotten it wet, or anything like that. Since a couple days ago it's had two problems:
When I pick a song other than the Sk8er boi live acoustic EP, it just scrolls through the songs until it gets to it (sk8erboi). the only way I can get it to stop scrolling is by getting out of "Songs" or by putting it on pause, and even then I can only go through the rating, the picture, etc...
The second thing is that at least one of the songs I bought off i-tunes that have the pic of the cd has the picture that goes with the Avril Lavigne live acoustic EP (most of the songs I got off i-tunes are from that cd) instead of it's regular one.
I was wondering if there is a way I can fix it that deosn't involve taking it apart, or should I just get it exchanged?

i would try restoring the ipod, a while ago my ipod was doing some weird things and i restored it using the ipod updater and it works like new now.

New iPod update has messed up my Artist list!!!

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me out, as this problem is causing a great deal of annoyance & frustration. My iPod recently that there was a new update to download, which I did. However, once I did this, this has greatly messed up my Artist listings. For example, I had the Ozzy Osbourne "Prince Of Darkness" set on my iTunes. Disc 3 of this set is Ozzy with other artists, so the Artist name on these songs are written as Ozzy with Primus, Ozzy with Type O Negative, etc. I have it written as Artist Sort Name: Ozzy Osbourne and not listed as a compilation, so that it still lists under the name of Ozzy Osbourne in Artist List. Before the update download, everything was nicely organized under this one name. Now however, every different name (ie. ...with Primus, ...with Type O Negative) is now listed in Artists under Ozzy Osbourne. This is only one of many examples were this has occured, so as can be imagined, my Artist List is now greatly disorganized. It is very frustrating, especially since I have been spending a lot of time trying to organize my iPod. Can you please tell me how I can get things straight again. Thanks,

my ipod is frozen in the first column only...ive tried turning it on/ off. ive tried computers and everything.i can click everything else except anything in the first column's area.
The button on the top thats used to turn it of is also messed up...i have to press very hard for it to even consider tuning off same with hibernate...
also apple has been taking money from me...as in i buy a song and it charges me more than once...it should be like the apps where if you bought it once its free the second time...etc.
is there any way apple can give me the songs/ take off the extra charges?

My iPod Is Seriously Messed Up

I've had my iPod for about two weeks now. I bought it used at a GameStop, because there is no Apple Store anywhere near me. It worked perfectly for the first day, then when I had it in my pocket, my music suddenly turned off and I checked to see what was wrong. It was dislplaying the startup Apple logo. It would show the logo for about 2 minutes, then turn off and show the logo again, repeating over and over. Eventually, after just pressing buttons on the device randomly due to no help from the call center, it began to work again. From there on out, it's done this many times. Except, now it lets me on for about 5 seconds. I can put in my password and then do whatever until it all fades into sometimes white, other times inverse, and often with going across the screen on one of the two.
I came to the conclusion that it was very fragile, as it only did this when I didn't set it down as though I was carressing a baby. I had it working for 3 days consistently without doing the startup glitch thing. Then I made the huge mistake of letting my friend hold it, who didn't set it down gently and made it start again with the logo glitch. Since then, it has only recovered from this twice. As I speak, I'm watching it turn itself on and off. If there is anything I can do AT ALL, please help. While it does this whole thing, it won't stay on long enough for me to restore it in iTunes, so that's not much of an option.
I've tried to leave it alone long enough to let the battery die, but it never really turns off. It's basically just in lock mode with the charge me screen. If I plug it in, I just give it more life to continue to glitch.
If you have any ideas of how to get it to turn off, or to stay on, please let me know. Holding on to both the sleep/wake and home buttons DOES turn it off, but it comes right back on immediately with the logo. Holding down on the home button to get it to the USB & iTunes thing doesn't work, either.
EDIT: Forgot to add that I have already restored it once. It was when I got it to work for 3 days. I actually just got it to work again, and am considering restoring it again, but I'm not sure what to do to prevent it from doing the glitch again.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
If that is the case, as rivera.ismael93 said, take it back to GameStop for a refund or exchange

and then it stops charging from there.
I can only see it in device manager as a unknown device

Try different ports on the computer (especially those on the back of the machine) and see if the error persists.

make sure all of your windows
make sure you have the latest version of the iPod software

if that doesnt work.. try multiple usb ports... a different cable... and possibly even a different computer to determine whether the problem is within the computer or the ipod itself....
