My iPod isn't letting me change the song on it's regular format, please help?
Ok, I was playing my music but when I went to change the song, nothing would move on the screen. It would contine on with the song/album but the screen remained frozen. I have no idea what's going on, it's fully charged, I haven't dropped it (It's in a case even if I did happen to), and it hasn't done this before. If I click the home button I can move around on my others apps with no problem, it's only the music that's acting up. Any tips on what to do? Thanks - XXX
Also (Not sure if this is imortant), If I search the song and play it, everything continues playing an all, but it's like I can't click on anything (This is a bit difficult to discribe)
This is an iPod touch, correct?

You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc. -

I need to change the default mail server to my yahoo account. When I had my PC this was easy but I cannot figgure it out on the MAC. I am in China and I need to inform my insurance company of some information or they are going to cancel a policy. When I go to their site for email contact what pops up is the apple email, which I do not have an account for and ofcourse does not work. Their email address does not show and I cannot find it anywhere so I need to change the default to my yahoo account. On my PC this was easy and when I went to a site that had a contact but no email address, my yahoo account would come up. I hope I am explaining this correctly. I really need to do this fast as the letter I got took some time to get here and I just returned from some field work so I have about 2 or 3 days to get the information to them. Thank you.

This does not demonstrate anything for me, since it brings up a Compose window for Mail, with my preferred account as the From address. This happens whether I access with Safari, or with Firefox.
The point that I am trying to make, is that in OSX, there is no way to have web mail access become the default mail method -- it only works with a true mail client, for POP, IMAP or .mac access on your Desktop.
If you have the type of yahoo account that can be setup for POP access with Mail, then when you click, you can choose your yahoo address as the From address to send from.
Of course you can insert the address in a new message with your Yahoo web mail, but I have understood you to want to have the message start containing the info from one of the pages on the site?

While in Apple ID, the primary address is correct which is our college. The iCloud however is using the icloud email address of the student who formerly borrowed the iPad. I have gone to preferences in an attempt to change the email address, thinking she may have used this as an alias, but it is not posted as an alias. I am stumped on how to fix this. Each time she does something via her personal account, it affects the other 90 iPads in the program & whenever any email is involved it lists her as the sender.
What you have described above contradicts to my information. If you did delete icloud account, there is no way you should see her iclud mail account and if it is not icloud - you just need to delete it as well.
Most likely you just receiving her emails right now and after you delete mail account you should be all set.
Go to settings - mail contacts calendars. Find her account and click - you will see delete button below. When done - e-mail that you changed billing info should disappear. Check it.
Other ipads are not affected and you didn't show in anyway that they are. That is the article that will allow you to check if school billing info is still the same in itunes store.

If you cannot select the text at all, it may be locked, or its Group/Layer/whatever may be locked.
You can look into the Layers palette and see: locked items are shown with a padlock next to the eye to the left.
If you can select it but it shows as paths with Anchor Points, you may look for a hidden Layer or hidden objects, where the original live type may be: they are shown without the eye.
Failing that, you may ask for a file with the original live Type.
Failing that, you will have to recreate the live Type on top of the outlined Type, and you will need to know the font, or use a substitute font. -

Have you blown the dust out lately?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

I my ipod isn't letting me swipe in on the lock screen, and for now, i've given up on that, and i just got a new laptop. So what i'd like to do is not worry about getting in my ipod, but to plug it in my computer and get my music off of it. it is not letting me do this because i have to unlock my ipod but, sadly i cannot, if anyone can help me it would be greartly appreitiated.

I want to download Firefox on a flashdrive so I can then download it to my home computer which is not connected to the internet. When I download Firefox, it won't let me change the path and so tries to download on a public computer, which isn't allowed. The reason I want it on my home computer is because I'm creating web pages and I want to view my html pages using a variety of browsers, including Firefox.
From another computer, go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/, click "Free download" button, click "Save File" button, select your flash drive in "Save as" window. "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" file will be saved in your flash drive.
You just need to insert it in your new computer and double-click on "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" from Windows Explorer and follow instructions. -

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
necessary to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,

That was just a typo.
I have three accounts set up in Mail, one of which, apart my the username which is my son's, has exactly the same settings as the one that isn't working and remember it's affecting all my devices.
I would feel happier even if I could create a fourth account on my MacBook Pro using what I know to be the correct password for the server but when I try it keeps defaulting to imap type, I don't get an option for Pop which is what I need.

my icloud account on my new iphone does not match the user ID for itunes as it is an old apple ID. There is no password for this ID so I cant change it and it wont let me change the apple ID. Any help?
To change to iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID then sign in with the new ID. If you don't know the password for the old ID, and if the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Yes it will, just sign out, then sign back in with the correct address.
Settings>iCloud>Sign Out.
