My iPod mini will not turn on and when i try to charge it, it just freezes and shows an apple. what can i do

My iPOD shows the frozen charging symbol sometimes, but that is only when it shut itself off due to low battery or something if i turn it back on and immediately connect it as soon as the apple symbol comes, then it charges

You almost certainly need to get the battery replaced. It's not something you can do yourself - you will have to take it to an Apple Store or send it by post to Apple: they will replace it with an equivalent model with a new battery.

I did try all of the suggestions I saw you had made to others with similar sounding problems (links to restore and what not), including holding down both the sleep/wake button and Home button for 10 seconds -- no luck. Made an appointment for Friday afternoon.

Probably dead if you have tried to charge it.
You should never try to charge or turn on a wet electronic device.
You should let it dry for a week or so, then try.

I have had a 30 gig color ipod for about six months, never had a problem until 2 days ago. I dont think there is a problem with my PC, as its a work computer and has never had acted up.

I have a similar problem. I have a 60Gb color Ipod which worked fine with my previous computer, a Pentium III using Windows 2000.
I changed to a Windows XP notebook and the iPod is not recognized by it. The strange thing is that it apears on the attached devices feature (usually on the lower right bar) once I connect it, it appears as drive F: on explorer, but when I try to open it on explorer I get an error message, most of the time saying it is an I/O problem. Additionaly, the iPod is not recognized by iTunes and when I tried formating or updating it I either got a message it was not connected or the Initializing went on forever.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me (I already booted everything several times, resintalled all programs, formated my iPod in the other computer...).
