My Ipod & Itunes doing lots of weird things - not just one

Since upgrading to 7.2 my ipod tries to sync, but can't, itunes works for a minute and then freezes up, then gets unstuck, then freezes up, again, it won't recognize CD titles and lables, it won't import, I can't delete songs or audiobooks, it downloaded a podcast into the music, etc. HELP!

Whatever it is, it seems to be catching. Here's more people with the same problem, including myself:

Open iTunes and connect your iPod. Select your iPod in iTunes from the Source list. (I'm assuming this still works, although you didn't indicate if it did or didn't.) Make sure the box is checked to Open iTunes when this device is connected. You should be all set!

Windows 8 - SC6 started doing weird things, not working correctly

Windows 8 and CS6 - Liquifying tool not working and and actions not working correctly, back ground screen flickers and changes color and does weird things. I have done a complete D&R and it does the same thing. Someone with the same problem suggested a D&R and deactivate, then reinstall and reactivate, could this possibly work? if so, how would you do that? Thanks

Yes, one I can think of. Get the make and model of your video card and head over to the card manufacturer's website.
Check for and install the latest drivers for your card.
Also see if changing the settings of your GPU helps. Uncheck everything (OpenCL Anti-alias 30 bit displays) and start at Basic. then work your way up to Normal and Advanced.

When you connect your itouch to itunes does it save your photos/notes from your ipod?

My itouch recently froze, i was told the only way of saving it is to reset it to it's original settings. I have important photos & notes on there that I can't lose. When you connect your ipod to itunes does it save that information?

Unless you can connect the iPod normally to your computer and get the photo and notes to the iPod without restoring the iPod. It sound like that can't be done.

How do i make the ram preview render the whole thing not just part of it

i have a super-fast modern desktop computer so ram isn't an issue. i want the green bar to cover the whole thing, not leave gray and blue spaces.
unrelated but while i'm here: is there a way to increase just the gamma of just the in-program composition window since i like to keep my monitor dark for my eyes but always have to increase brightness when watching movies as a result.
also is there a way to increase the text size of the ui besides increasing the text size for the whole windows 8.1?

How much RAM does your super-fast modern desktop have? AND what is the size of your composition?
If you're getting spaces between the green bar, your RAM Preview options may include skip frames.
If you don't have enough RAM to cache a large (or long) video, you can lower the resolution that you're attempting to RAM Preview (in your comp window if you're using Auto, or in the RAM Preview options). Unfortunately, it means that you'll be trading quality of the video playback for duration of frames played.
You can adjust the exposure of the video in the comp or footage windows by using the Exposure Button
Turn up the value to over/under expose the video, but it won't change the RENDER, just the way you look at it in the window.
You can toggle the icon on/off if you have a certain value you like to keep it set to.

XP sees iPod, iTunes does not, exhuasted online support , issue persists

My XP Pro sees my ipod fine. But iTunes fails to see the ipod when connected. The latest iPod Updater also fails to mount ipod after thinking for several full minutes. Interestingly, Task Monitor shows Updater application doing something very briefly after my Ipod is connected.)
Many things have been tried based on reading apples on-line tech support: removing and re-installing both itunes and the updater software; using windows Install clean up the registery; repeatedly resetting the ipod & restarting the computer; using msconfig to disable all other services to avoid conflicts; double checking my mother board usb jumpers to insure my USB ports are 5V are things i have tried.
My ipod was labeling itself with the letter "C", and I changed that to "B" and restarted the computer, but there is no change in behavior -still XP sees the ipod but the apple software does not.
I verified my ipod and its USB cable work using another computer.
SO I am at the end of ideas?
If anyone conquered this issue using something I have not tried I would consider it a generous christmas gift if youd share your solution.
Otherwise I am about to buy a otherwise un-need USB card to add to my machine in the desperate belief that the ipod is really only compatible with some windows based USB ports, but not all. (MY USB ports are integrated on a Biostar TForce 6100-939 motherboard; is anyone using one of those without issue with a 5th genreration iPod?)

I feel really bad because this was a present for our 14 year old and he has only been able to "play" with the calendar & date function for 2 days now.
I have a question about your solution: do you mean that when the ipod software installer asks where to store the ipod folder, I should enter some other location letter? My system & programs are stored on a drive named "F" and that's where the Ipod installer suggests to install the software. Here's where I'm not sure what you mean:

Trying to restore iPod, iTunes does not recognize it

My brother's iPod suddenly became unable to charge this morning, so we decided to try and restore it as that was a common solution to this problem. Well, whenever we plug the iPod into my Mac, it shows the charging screen, then turns on shortly after with nothing charged. I went into recovery mode with much difficulty, since the iPod would turn on by itself after it was plugging and showed the charging screen, and I have gotten the screen that tells me to plug it into iTunes.
I plugged the iPod in, and iTunes won't recognize it. I tried restarting my Mac, using a different cable and a different port, tried plugging it into the ports on our PC: nothing. The screen keeps telling us to plug it in, but obviously this isn't working.
We've tried both recovery mode and dfu mode and now I'm at a loss at what to do. Help please?

Mission Control/Dash Board are freeze then cause logout. Picture preview with a lot of Weird Pixel (Not dead pixel).

When I try to sync my ipod, itunes tells me certain songs could not be found

I have just tried to sync my ipod on itunes, and a screen comes up to tell me that over 100 songs from my library cannot be synced as they could not be found.......
They all appear in my music library, and in their relevant playlists, only now they all have an exclamation mark just to the left of the title.
Some I have ripped from cd's and some are ones I have purchased thru the itunes store, and it is these I'm most annoyed about, as I paid to have them and now cannot play them.
What can I do to get them to be able to play again?
Neither the ipod or the laptop are new to me, I have been using both successfully for a number of years with no problems.
I have tried de-authorising and then authorising my laptop, and have also restored factory setting on my ipod, but nothing seems to work.......
Any suggestions, please?

That exclamation point means the song files cannot be found, for some reason. They are no longer where iTunes expects to find them. They were either moved or deleted. Sometime, a data corruption issue on your hard drive can make files inaccessible. You may want to check that possibility, because other files may be affected.
Since you can still see the name, artist, and album of the missing songs in iTunes, you may want to try using Windows to do a general search of your hard drive volume, searching on the name of one of the songs (or artist or album name). If you are using the default settings for iTunes, iTunes uses the name of song, album, and artist to name the file and directory path of the song file's storage location. If they got moved for some reason, you may find the path to all of the missing songs by finding one song. You can then move them back to the location where iTunes expects to find them.

Don't be mad about those songs... Any previous song purchase from the iTunes Store can be re-downloaded at any time at no cost. Go to the main iTunes Store screen. On the right side, find Purchased under QUICK LINKS. On the Purchased screen, click on Music and find those missing songs. There is a Not on This Computer filter there that would be useful in this case. Next to the song name, you should see a button with a cloud symbol. Click it to download that song.

IPhone downloads a whole load of songs from my iTunes, not just one playlist like I've set it up to (in theory) do.

When I sync my iPhone to iTunes it is supposed to only download one of my playlists so as not to use up all the space on my phone. However, it fills all the left-over space with songs (sidenote: I haven't ticked the box that says "automatically fill free space with songs") and I don't know (a) what I'm doing wrong or (b) how to fix it. I have an iPhone 6 and still use my iPod touch without ever having this problem.

What is Apple doing?! Not just ONE song?!

Seriously, what does Apple do? Sit there and pick their nose while the population throws their keyboards across the room?
Now, controlling my deep anger that could scare a rhino, here is my problem. iTunes won't let me transfer ONE freaking song to my iPod Nano. Now, when I change the settings to ONLY update ONE playlist, it erased what was already on there and replaced it with that one playlist. I'm not computer inept, but iTunes just doesn't make sense to me.
Now, wouldn't it make sense to actually design software where you can just transfer ONE song to your product? NO! That would just make sense.
Is there anyway with iTunes to maybe put just a few songs onto my iPod without having a hernia while trying to protect my equipment? Please make my life easier, and renew my faith in the Apple corperation.

Or create a playlist with the music you want.
Select the iPod in iTunes.
Select the Summary tab.
Uncheck Manually manage music and videos.
Select the Music tab.
Tic Sync music and Selected playlists, then select the playslist(s) you want.
Add or delete from these playlist(s) & plug in the iPod.

Iphone not syncing music from itunes. all other devices are, it's just one iphone on my account

I'm having an issue syncing one iphone with my itunes account. I have several other iphones and an ipod that will sync just fine. I am running Windows 8. There was a glitch earlier when the new ios came out that was resolved and everything was working fine... now this one phone is not syncing. The music is showing up but when you hit play it just skips through.

Composite image/graphic: how to make whole thing smaller (and not just one piece at a time)?

Hi there,
I have a graphic that I've made out of three or four bits and pieces. I'd now like to make the whole thing smaller.
If I go for the round 'target' in the middle, I can make that section smaller, but each of the other sections stays large and it becomes a dog's breakfast.
Is there a way to make the whole (nicely-composed) thing smaller, all at once?

UPDATE - My Zen Micro DOES HAVE a STOP button - Not just Pa

Well. I just found this out. I am not sure if this will help resolve some of the battery drain issue / standby time issue.
On my Micro - on the top row of buttons (rew-play-ff) there are two raised bum
ps.
I have tried this about 00 times and it works every time.
Start playing a song.
Press Pause - as you would normally do.
now press the BUMP between Play and FF (right bump).
The song will now STOP. it is not paused the pause icon disappears and the player stops spinning. the time counter on the song resets to zero.
Try it out and post your results. The left bump between rew/play does nothing for me, just the other one....Message Edited by ccbm on 03-03-2005 06:43 AM

GPL: Done like dinner! Returned it yesterday to the store I bought it from! They were cool as hell about it even after two months since I bought my first one original one! Gave me a full refund of $455.05 and then I decided to try out a Sony for 30 days (359.99 for the Sony/paid 333.99 for the Micro!). For 26 bucks more, I got a whole lotta more player. If I don't like it, I'll return it too and wait for Creative to fix the troubles, but so far I love it (it has a battery OFF switch too). Maybe come back and get a Zen Micro Photo!
