My iPod keeps beeping when charging (iOS7)

I just got iOS7 and whenever i plug my iPod touch in, it keeps beeping over and over. It also pops up with the notification "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably". This is a new cable and it was made by apple. Any help would be great

Sounds like there is a problem with the cable.
Do you have another cable you can try to confirm this?
You may need to make an appointment with your local Apple store to have them replace if it is isn't working.

Hi everyone,
got the new iphone 5. Set it up, and it seemed to be working fine, however...
PROBLEM 1: Now, when i plug it into itunes, it starts to sync, and then after about a minute and a half, it gets interrupted and the sync starts all over again.
Is anyone else having this issue?
In addition,
PROBLEM 2: when i'm charging my iphone 5, about every two minutes it starts to make a "syncing" noise (the noise that the phone makes when you plug it into charge).

I would try another lightning cable. If the cable doesn't fix it, there is an issue with the port on the phone.

The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps

When you say "beep" you mean the sound it makes right after you plug it in? If so, you might have a faulty cable or USB port, so your iPhone will beep everytime it gets disconnected and reconnected to the computer. If it's not that, try to describe the sound. Is it similar to what other sounds on iPhone system?

if i try to load up Syndicatesnew game for example, it will get to picking the character, and then ay loading, and crash! i have tried re-installing it and nothing. and also, i tried regestering to Channel 4 (4oD) and when i click on register after it is all done and dusted, it will do the screen of the ipod dying (even when charging) and freeze on the circle thing so i have to auto restart by holding the home button and the on/off button. please help me here..

As your iPhone is getting connected to iTunes take a backup of your iPhone in iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
And then Restore your iPhone to Factory settings and see if it works and if that doesn't fix the problem then there might be something wrong with the Hardware and you will have to take your iphone to Nearest Apple Genius Bar.

IPod Beeps When Charging

My ipod touch started beeping tonight while it was charging in the iHome dock, and I was just wondering if the beeping sound is normal, and also does it stop when the ipod is charged?

The iPod beeps when:
-It connects to ANY dock.
-It is disconnected from ANY dock.
-It is alerting you of a timer/appointment/alarm.
Beeping for any other reason (without you doing it), is bad.

when i plug my ipod on the computer with the usb cable, it keep beeping and the top right corner where the charging icon is switch restlessly between charging and normal. Also, Itunes won't recognize my ipod, like its not ewven plugged in ! I klnow its not the cable because I tried with a friends usb cable and same thing happens. I tried to press on-off and menu for 10 second till I get the apple logo but it doesn't help.

See if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore it. For recovery mode see:

If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Unless Apple announces, there is no way to know why they make the decisions that they do.
You can turn it off, once it begins charging if it bothers you.

Frustrated! iPod keeps freezing when trying to update

My 40G iPod keeps freezing whenever I try to update it. I plug it into the computer, iTunes starts but then freezes after a song or two. Sometimes it crashes me whole machine. In any case, I can't add any music to my iPod, rendering it useless. I've seen s imilar posts but no solutions. I installed the latest iPod updater software and am using the latest version of iTunes. Funnily, this problem didn't start until I upgraded to the newest iTunes. Can anyone help? This is very very frustrating.

Hi everyone,
I apologize if this has already been answered numerous times, but I'm in a bit of a time crunch so I didn't have a whole lot of time to search.
I've had my iPod for nearly a year (actually, Tuesday will be a year since I got it), and ever since Easter, I've been having problems getting my iPod to update.
Everytime I plug my iPod into my computer (Windows XP Home), it'll start to update no problem. Then, sometime about halfway through the update, the iPod freezes up, and I get the message that "iPod cannot be located" or whatever. I have to disconnect the frozen iPod from the computer, and wait for it to unfreeze (it won't reset when frozen either). The iPod actually gets really hot when it's frozen (oxymoron I know, but really), I'm holding it in my hand now and my hand's real warm from it. Then, I'll try to update it again and again, and then maybe, if it feels like it, the iPod will update. However, when it freezes and heats up like this, it totally, 100% drains the battery, so I just have to let it completely recharge for hours. It's like a 24 hour process, I have to start updating it early in the morning, and then eventually hours later I may have gotten it charged. I'm concerned that there's something wrong with my iPod (iTunes works fine) because I get USB errors on my computer, and I really can't afford to replace it or the battery now. The way it drains the battery also concerns me as well.
Is anyone else in the same boat as me, or have any ideas as to what I should/can do? Again, I apologize if this is a repetitive question, I'm not real computer savvy so I have NO idea what to do. Thanks!
