My ipod keeps pausing even when the hold switch is on.

I was out snowblowing the other day and I was listening to my music. I had the hold button on, and my ipod kept pausing. I was not even bumping the unit. It was in my chest coat pocket. I don't know if maybe it was the cold. Anyone have a similiar issue?

Normally, even if the switch is ON, you should be able to do a Restore on the iPod (using iTunes).  So, I would try doing that, from the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes.  It will erase the iPod, but more importantly in this case, re-install the latest software set to default settings.
Hopefully, you have all the music in your iTunes library, because if Restore works, you can just re-sync the iPod.

  • Ipod continually pauses, even when locked

I have a 5th generation ipod, which I bought in the U.S. but it seems since I have moved to europe, my ipod continually pauses, even when it is locked on. This problem seems to occour more when people are using 2 way radios near by, such as train stations or on the highway when passing trucks. I work in the marine industry which is constantly using 2 way radios, and this has become such a frustration, that I stopped using my ipod for the last few months. I have tried resetting my ipod, but this hasn't seemed to fix it. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated

the only thing i can think of is if the earphone jack is removed from the socket, the iPod automatically pauses..

  • The flashlight in my iphone 4s keeps lighting even when it is switched off. I went through many articles and in those was mentioned presence of humidity could be one reason, but my phone was not prone to such conditions

The flashlight in my iphone 4s keeps lighting even when it is switched off. I went through many articles and in those was mentioned presence of humidity could be one reason, but my phone was not prone to such conditions & it is the condition when i took it from its pouch. Kindly help

If the phone is offline there is no way to track it or send a message to it.  You can place it in lost mode to lock it and send it a message (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f0165), but this will not take place until the phone goes back online, if it ever does.  If it does, you will get an email informing you.

  • Measurement output keeps drifting, even when the input channel are shorted out.

    Dear Technical Engineer,
    Greetings!
Currently, we are conducting a voltage measuring experiment with your DAQ card "NI PCIe-6353". The voltage we are concerning is a slow variable ranging from 0-20mV.
However, we met some problems operating your device.
1.When the input channel is vacant (no connection to any voltage output), the measurement curve displayed in the test panel (built in your driver) keeps drifting (from some point to -10V, then slowly upwards to +10V, then downwards...), but not stays at 0V.
2.The moment we connect the input channel to a DC stabilized power supply (2V), the measurement curve displays a quick step, but not step to 2V. Then, it continues to drift downwards.
3.When we short out the input channel (for example, connect “33 A1” with “32 A1 GND”), the measurement output still keeps drifting, but not displays 0.
Thus, we wonder if some settings should be regulated, or if there is something wrong with our operations, or there is an additional grounding option that we missed, or the device just breaks down. Could you please give us your valuable suggestions?
If you need any more informations, please do not hesitate to contact us (email:[email protected]). Thanks for your time and attention! We are looking forward to your kind reply.
    Best,
    Xianke

    Hi Xianke,
It sounds like you may have your measurement configured in differential mode. If so, then you should read 0V when you short pin 66 AI1- to pin 33 AI1. Do you see this same behavior on other channels?
It looks like the default input configuration is differential, so you can also leave your wiring as it is, and change to RSE.

  • IPod shows locked even when not

iPod is showing "locked" even when the toggle switch is not on lock. I have restored it via iTunes, and it still shows locked, so can not use at all. Can't find any articles regarding how to turn this off. Any help appreciated. I've toggled it back & forth several times to try and unlock it with no luck. Thanks.

So you are saying that the time is in parentheses? I want to make sure I understand what you are having trouble with. When I am running on battery, the time left is in parentheses (3:15). When I am charging, the number (1:13) is in parentheses, as well as the word Charged (Charged). If the time option is selected in the preferences, there will always be parentheses. This is my experience.
If you can, post a picture of what you are speaking of. That may help.

    Hello Nazer_502,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone was acting this way.  It sounds like it is overheating and not holding a charge. I recommend following the steps listed below when experiencing an issue like this:
    Battery life seems short
Click ( www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.

My Radio on my Nano won't pick up a signal.. I cennected my headphones and am in the middle of the city, so there are plenty of stations to find. Also my iPod keeps pausing every like 30 seconds when I try to listen to my music. I just got it for Christmas and already loaded it with songs.. What do I do?

Push the headphone jack all the way in, you don't have it fully plugged in yet.

  • My iPod classic (160 gb) keeps pausing randomly in the middle of songs. What do I do to fix this?

So, I got my iPod classic about 5 months ago. Every once in a while, it will pause in the middle of a song. This usually happens soon after I lock or unlock it, and if I touch the wheel, but also happens if I let it play without touching it.
I've searched for solutions, but everyone says that their iPods keep pausing for a few seconds, then continue. When mine pauses by itself, it doesn't continue until I press the play button.
According to iTunes, my iPod is updated with the latest software. So, I reset my iPod (middle button and menu at the same time), but it didn't fix the problem. Then, with iTunes, I reset my iPod. Again, this didn't help.
It isn't because of my headphones because the same thing happened when I listened with different buds.
Does anyone know what I should do?

i to am having the same problem on my week old ipod classic did you manage to sort it out?? if so HELP please

  • My iPod keeps shutting off when I go into certain apps. It started tonight and has done it about 3-5 times in the last 2 hours, help?

My iPod keeps shutting off when I go onto apps. It has shut off about 3-5 times in the last hour. Help?

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • How do I prevent my iPod from powering on when I have the Hold switch on?

After I power off my iPod I turn on the Hold switch to prevent it from powering on and using up my battery life, but for some strange reason when I pull it out of my purse to use it again I often find a song playing. To make things even stranger every time this happens it is always a song from the same playlist. I really just want this to STOP b/c it drains my battery. Thanks to anyone that can help me.

Make sure you don't have an alarm set.
    Cheers!

  • Help! my ipod keeps pausing itself.

everytime i play a song my ipod just randomly pauses. even when i have the hold button activated the thing still pauses itself. i won't even touch the dial, and it just pauses. what do i do????

It might not be a problem with the ipod, nanos come with the feature of pausing automatically when the earphones come out even a bit (i suppose so that you dont miss any of the songs but can be annoying if you have it on your belt and you stretch lol)..make sure your earphones are connected fully and you should be fine.
