My Ipod Mini is like not working:(

I've tried restarting it.
Called Customer Service (didn't help!).
Restarted computer, pluged it in battery adapter, and it says its fully charged.
Also, tried running out the battery for more than 8 hours and restarting, still doesn't work.
Nothing is working!
Under 1 year warranty.
Can I get it replaced?

My mini does not work. I reseted it without knowing and now its gone crazy. Sometimes my pc does not recognize it, which i solve by puting it in disk mode.
I tried to update it by downloading the software, but it doesnt work, it says that there is anothe aplication using the ipod(which is not the case) or it says unable to lock Ipod (which I have no clue what it means)
I am now trying to install the cd software that came with the ipod, but it says my ipod needs formatting. I click format and it satys there forever, or it says it has been unable to reach ipod.
Can you please tell me what to do in order to have a normal ipod again and put my songas back in?
Thanks!!!

  • IPod mini click wheel not working

Tuesday i was listening to my ipod and it worked just fine. the click wheel was working and everything was okay. i put it on my ihome to charge that night and left it there until i got home from school the next day. it worked fine in the morning(wednesday) when my alarm went off. wednesday night i took it off my i home and my click did not work at all. the buttons work but i can't scroll thru my songs or change the volume. it still has it's original battery so i know that's not what could have damaged it. between the time that it did work and the time i discovered it didn't it was not dropped or exposed to any extremes. i have reset it several times and restored to the factory setting and nothing has worked. please help!! i have had it for almost 2 years so it's out of warranty. is there anything i can do to fix it myself? i don't have the money to service it.

Hi to both of you, and welcome to Apple Discussions!
Well, if resets and restores are not helping, the clickwheel is malfunctioning. If you don't have the money to have Apple service it, would you be able to buy a new part?
If you can't buy a new part... Your only option is to open the bottom of the mini, slide the clickwheel out, dissasemble the clickwheel, put it back together, and reconnect it. It may sound like a lot, but it's pretty easy. I've had to do it on my blue mini, but realize that this may not solve the problem and if it does, last forever. I finally had to get a new clickwheel. Visit: theipodmini.blogspot.com for instructions, which is my site dedicated to the mini.

  • Ipod mini's shuffle not working

whenever i put my ipod mini into shuffle it plays full cds not individual songs randomly. instead of having varying artists, it will play all of one artists songs then go onto another artist, rather than varying the choices. is there anything i can do to change it back to varying artists?

Best if you posted in the shuffle forum as more shuffle owners post there. Here's the link.

It would be best to start your own topic there instead of posting on the end of someone else's like you did here.

  • The Wi-Fi on My iPod Touch 4G is Not Working (See Description)

The Wi-Fi on my iPod Touch 4G is not working. People were working on my wi-fi, and, since it showed three bars still, I thought it was working. So when I found out it wasn't working, I tried to fix it by myself by forgetting the wi-fi network. Now, when I try to log in, it says that my password is incorrect (even though I know it is right). I think it is not working because I forgot the wi-fi network while they were working on it. I don't know what to do and I would like Wi-Fi to work on my iPod again (and it is working on my computers and my iPad). Can anyone help me? Thanks:)

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My location services in iPod Touch 5 is not working. Any help?? I really want to fix this issue.

You do have it turned on ins settings>Privacy, right?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

My Center button on my Ipod 3rd generation is not working? What do i do it still goes up and down just doesnt select anything.

What I had to was backup my device's data to either iCloud or iTunes. Once it was backed up I erased all of my settings as if my iPad just came out of the box. You set it up again and it will asked you to either start as new, back up from iTunes, or back up from ICloud. If you want to see if everything works you can set up as new, otherwise just pick the choice depending on where you backed up your information. Eventually it will restore all of your information and your iMessage and FaceTime should be working. It worked for me, if you'd like more/better instructions let me know!!

Get US $269, then make an appointment at any Apple store, do an out of warranty exchange.

  • Mini player does not work, can only switch playlists by closing and restarting iTunes

For the last few versions of iTunes, my mini player does not work, only choices are large window and larger window.  Also, if I am listening to a playlist and hit the pause button, then switch to another playlist, the old playlist keeps playing when I hit play.  The only way I can figure out to switch playlists is to quit and relaunch iTunes.

    try rebooting the ipad
you know holding down the on button and the home button until the slider comes
and turn it off and start it up again

"Connect to a computer. Use iTunes to restore."  When I connect to a computer, iTunes doesn't recognise it.  The iPod 5th Gen does not work at all. How do I fix my iPod without losing any data?
I have seen the Apple webpage suggesting the "five R's" (including restore).  Before doing anything, I want to be sure that restoring or any other action is not going to delete or risk my data.
I would be very grateful if anyone can suggest a fix for this problem, in a way that will not risk my data.
    Thanks in advance!

Did you try a hard reset with the iPod still connected to your PC?  Have you tried multiple USB ports, preferably high powered USB 2.0 ports?
To do a hard reset, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Have you also worked through each and every single troubleshooting suggestion in this Apple support document?
