My Ipod Mini is not detected in Itunes, Nor in Winamp pluggin.

The title above says it all, i would need some light on how to fix this awful problem. I had my ipod since last March and everything went fine until just recently.
I tried all the repair step from the apple site, format ipod...Remove itunes/Ipod updater and reinstall them all, clean registry and old installation files that could create conflict with the currents ones.
I know that my ipod is not broken, somewhere out there is a way to fix it, because when i brought my ipod to my girlfriend house.. Her Itunes was detecting my Ipod. But when i use it here, at home it keep saying "Can't read the ipod, it need to be formated to be used on a pc". Then i format it and nothings change.
I hope you have the answer to help me out to fix this **** problem for once and for all.

  • My iPod mini is not appearing in iTunes or windows explorer.

My iPod is not appearing in iTunes or explorer. Only when I go to hardware manager windows admits that there is something that is not installed properly. But when I start the hardware manager and put in the CD, as required by the hardware assistant it says: Hardware couldn’t be installed.
So it is not even possible to reset my iPod, because is not recognized by the iPod Updater. I had to go to another computer to reset the iPod. After that my computer is still not recognizing it. So I installed the latest version of iTunes and Updater, but it doesn’t help. I installed also the latest drivers for my computer, but it did not work. Running the iPod in disc mode doesn’t change anything, too.
The iPod is not listed under disc management so I can’t change the Drive from E to G.
I tried the inactivation of all Microsoft-services according to the protocol from the apple web page, but it did not work, even after installing the latest version of iTunes.
I've read the entire troubleshooting pages on how to fix it.
The message on the iPod mini display is always the same when I connect it: “do not disconnect” and after about 3 seconds “OK to disconnect”. But the iPod is never listed in windows explorer or iTunes. I also reseted it, when it was connected to the computer.
I completely run out ideas and I am about to send it to service.
    Can anyone help?
I use Windows XP on a Fujitsu Siemens 1437G laptop computer.

Try Resetting Your iPod while it's connected to the computer.
Hold down the Menu and Select buttons until you see the Apple logo (or Menu & Play/Pause in older models).
This will often get it recognized. It may take several attempts.

  • IPod Touch 4G not detected in iTunes 10.0.1.22 when using Remote App 2.0

I'm guessing Apple's Remote App 2.0 works well for iPhone 4 and iPad, but when I try using it with iPod Touch 4G, it does not show up in devices to enter the passcode.
    same wifi network
iTunes 10.0.1.22, Home Sharing On, Library Sharing enabled, Looking for remotes enabled.
iPod Touch 4G (iOS 4.1) (no problems with wifi)
Apple's Remote App 2.0 Home Sharing login works well. Adding Library produces 4 digit passcode.
BUT, again, it does not show up in Devices to have the opportunity to enter the passcode.
iTunes is an approved app in firewall settings.
Win 7 (32bit) Network Detection/Printer&File Sharing is enabled.
    Interesting:
When I try to connect to Airport Express with my PC,
    I receive "unknown error (-15006)"
Another iMac running iTunes 9 is able to stream music to the airport express without problem.
Using my PC, I'm able to connect to the iMac, and stream music from the iMac to my PC.
When Airport Utility (on PC) is open I can't detect Airport Express (even though the light is solid green.
I'm still guessing iTunes 10.0.1.22 has AirPlay/AirTunes issues, and in general doesn't want to detect any wifi devices.
I haven't yet looked up the error code, but would love to hear some thoughts out there.
Anyone else have similar issues? Are there any fixes?
    Please share.
    Thanks.

another piece of info about Remote App 2.0 on my iPod Touch 4G
I'm able to turn on the Home Sharing button inside the app.
The text description below it says:
"Remote will automatically find the iTunes libraries and Apple TV's that have Home Sharing turned on using the account _____."
Both my iTunes and this app have Home Sharing turned on and logged-in using the same account info, but Remote App is NOT automatically detecting my iTunes library. Nothing happens!! When I then click the "Add an iTunes Library" button, Remote app generates a 4-digit passcode number, but still won't detect my iTunes account. The same is true for iTunes; it will not detect my iPod Touch as a nearby wireless device on the same wifi network.
I don't know how to move beyond this issue!
Am I correct to assume that signing into my Home Sharing account on Remote App should automatically find my iTunes Library and populate the Remote App screen on my iPod Touch with a button/link to start navigating my iTunes Library, while at the same time iTunes should detect my iPod Touch in Devices and give me a screen to enter the passcode? Do I actually need a passcode if I'm using Home Sharing?
I'm guessing that Home Sharing is for when I'm at my house, and a passcode is for when I'm at a friend's house. Could someone confirm if this is really the case?

  • My iPod touch is not detected on iTunes! HELP!!!!

Recently, there were some problems with my computer's wires' connections, so I had to buy a new extension and reconnect everything. I don't know if it has something to do with the problem. I just mentioned it, just in case. Yesterday, when I tried connecting my iPod to iTunes to update it, a message popped up on my screen, which said, "Please insert the installation CD that came with the hardware." I didn't get any installation CD with it, so I just clicked, "Do not show me this message again." Now, the computer isn't detecting the iPod at all. I tried everthing that was suggested on this site, the USB port checking, disabling some programs, restarting, even reinstalling iTunes. Nothing worked. My iPod doesn't work now. Whenever I press some button on or restart it, it just goes into Recovery Mode, you know, the one with the picture of iTunes and a USB cable trying to connect to it. What do I do? Someone please help!

  • IPod Mini is not recognized by iTunes - I get an error message

    Hello,
When I conect my iPod Mni to my computer I get the following error message:
    Disk Repair
"The disk "iPod" was not repairable by this computer. It is being made available to you with limited functionality. you must back up your data and reformat the disk as soon as possible."
Then iTunes launches but the iPod is not displayed. It appears as on the desktop as a HD.
I have reset it but still have no luck....Please help...

I am getting a message that IPOD cannot be recognized, it does not show up on the desktop or in itunes. I did the reset and set it as disc but now nothing happens at all. At least before it was showing up on my desktop. Now it does not even show up there. HELP!!!!!!!

  • IPod Touch 4g  not detected by itunes half the time

Since this is my first post I will start by saying greetings to all! I've been having issues with my ipod and I was hoping someone could shed some light on the issue. A week after I got my iPod Touch this issue came up and it's beginning to get on my nerves a bit. Everytime I plug in my iPod with iTunes loaded I have basically a 1/5 shot of it actually being recognized. At first I thought it might be Win7 being flakey as usual but even when iTunes does not see my iPod windows gives me the "autorun" option to view the pictures on it. This leads me to believe it is an iTunes issue. The only way around this is to leave iTunes open and repeatedly unplug and replug my iPod into the usb port, once I plug it in I wait about 5 seconds and eventually iTunes notices my iPod and goes about it's merry way. At this point it will sync perfectly with no issues what so ever. However? If I were to close iTunes and re-open I have to repeat the process all over again.
    So my questions are these:
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, has anyone else figured out how to fix it?
I'd really rather NOT reinstall iTunes and risk it possibly destroying my entire music collection. I've spend a long time ripping CDs and organizing them (OCD style) into directories with proper tags and album art.
    Specs:
    Windows 7 Professional x64 - SP1
    AMD Phenom II X4 995 @ 3.2GHz
    4 GB DDR3-1600 RAM

This is exactly why I am here today. I have this problem about the same as you  and I have a similar computer. I have to try over and over and go into settings to shut down iTunes when it freezes, then try again. It does with with both my iPad and my iPod. I am on my 2nd iPod and the first one was the same way. This is the main reason I was hesitant to get an iPad. On my first day owning the iPad, at least I had Apple help and they were on the phone with me for 3 hours trying to get it to work. They were never able to help me. BUt, for that time at least, I just changed USB ports and it synched immediately. That is not my problem at the momen though, when my iPod did not sync until the 5th try. It's very frusrating.

  • IPod mini will not sync with iTunes 9

Just set up itunes on new Acer. iTunes recognizes the iPod with details such as serial number, remaining space, etc but will not sync. Is there a problem between this version of iTunes and this older model iPod?

    Hello Rukiya,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried restoring the iPod via iTunes? This will erase all the content from the iPod and set it back to its default settings allowing you to start from scratch with it.

  • My ipod mini will not update from itunes.

I recieve a message saying the ipod is linked to another library and do i want to replace all the songs on my ipod with the current library. How do i transfer the songs in my ipod to my computer?

This is the message you see when you connect the iPod to a computer that it's not normally associated with. Clicking 'yes' will do exactly what it says and the songs on your iPod will be replaced with the songs in the iTunes library you are now connected to.
This is how the iPod works. Makes it that much harder to share copyrighted material.
Do you intend to use the iPod with more than one computer?

  • The replacement for my first generation iPod Nano is not detected in iTunes.

I've barely used this Nano that I've received as a replacement and now it isn't recognized by either Windows or iTunes.  The website states that the warranty has expired on this unit.  If this is the type of quality that is to be expected from your products, I don't even know if it is worth trying to obtain a repair under warranty.  Hopefully, this comes to the attention of someone who is able to do something about it.  I like your designs, but the quality needs to match as well.  Thank you for your time.

  • IPod not playing songs/ not detected in iTunes!

Okay. I've been searching for days in forums, etc for a solution to no avail.
    I have a 4GB ipod nano 3rd gen.
I run Windows Vista. I updated my iTunes to version 8 and plugged in my iPod to charge it. First time charging the iPod in this computer running Vista. Every other time I would charge in my other computer running XP.
When I connected the iPod I recieved the message saying the iPod may have disc problems. I cancelled the message. I recieved a message asking if I would like to sync the songs to or from the iPod. I chose to sync the songs from my iPod onto my computer (again, first time using this Vista computer).
After syncing the songs onto my Vista computer I noticed it had not synced all the songs. I ejected the iPod. Plugged it back in. This time when the message prompted about the disc needing repair I chose yes.
My iPod was not detected by iTunes, and has not been from that point on. Furthermore, I cannot play songs from my iPod. I can power it on, scroll through songs, etc, but when I choose a song to play it either flashes the album cover then that screen goes away right away, or it freezes for about ten seconds, in which time if I circle the wheel I hear my click volume going up and down but nothing on screen is happening at all. Another weird thing is I can load the Quiz Show game that plays clips of music and has you guess what they are, but when I play the game now it's just the Quiz Show music the whole time and none of my songs will play.
This is really weird and I don't know why no one has posted a solution on any websites yet. I have read so many differrent threads on so many differrent websites, but no one can answer my question.
