  • My music wont play in itunes after i updated my windows 8

Just yesterday my windows 8 had a system update. After digitally downloading the Beyonce album, I wasn't able to play the songs in Itunes. I went to the Itunes store to see if any song would play, none would. So I ran a troubleshoot and it said that the program wasnt compatible. I unistalled, repaired, and re installed itunes and even looked for help online and have gotten dead ends. I need help. Anyone else have this problem?

Your iTunes Store page is at https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/universitetsradioen/id966113015?mt=2 and is using the feed at the URL you give.
The URL for the top episode's media file is
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/Universitetsradioen/http://feeds.soundcloud.com/stre am/190737542-uniradioen-festfronten-scoreteknikker-pa-mef.mp3
Trying to access this produces an error. If you take the front section off:
    http://feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/190737542-uniradioen-festfronten-scoreteknikk er-pa-mef.mp3
it works, except that when you enter the URL of your media file in a browser it downloads instead of playing within the browser as it should. This means that although it would work in the iTunes application, the Store can't play it within its own page.
You need to correct the URLs and to set each file not to download. eiznem has posted the process for the latter:

    - Try resetting for the other problem:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - The try restoring, first from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • New songs synced to my ipod wont play, the songs play fine on itunes and appear on ipod but wont play..any help appreciated

New songs synced to my ipod wont play, the songs play fine on itunes and appear on ipod but wont play..any help appreciated

So, if you select one of these songs on the iPods screen, and try to play it, what happens?  The iPod does nothing?  It skips to the next song?
It's possible you will have to do a Restore on the iPod, if there is data corruption on the iPod causing this problem.  The Restore erases the iPod, and removes any corruption.
NOTE:  There may be a hardware problem, such as the iPod's hard drive becoming unreliable, that is causing this problem and data issues.  It may continue to operate as long as its data stays mostly unchanged, but if you do a Restore to update the hard drive's data in a major way, it is possible that the Restore will fail and leave the iPod non-operable.

  • I Ipod class wont play TED and other video podcasts.  The genious bar could not figure out the problem.  This problem is not isolated to a single computer.  Secondly, the convert to ipod version feature in Itunes does not resolve the problem.

My Ipod classic wont play TED, The Grid, Techzilla and other video podcasts (but not all video podcasts).  The genious bar could not figure out the problem. Instead, the Apple store gave me credit towards a new classic, which produced the same problem.  This problem is not isolated to a single computer.  Secondly, the convert to ipod version feature in Itunes does not resolve the problem.  Lastly, I tried restoring the ipod to no avail.  I've heard this is a video codec problem.

See this extensive older thread on the issue.

  • HT1727 i copied itune music from old hard drive to memory disk the copied onto new hard drive into itunes and music wont play unless removalbe disk is inserted

i copied itune music from old hard drive to memory disk the copied onto new hard drive into itunes and music wont play unless removalbe disk is inserted

Then your iTunes must be looking at the removable disc, not your hard drive. Did you actually copy the songs onto your computer, or simply tell iTunes to look at the removable drive?
Highlight a song and click on File/Get Info/Summary>Where and check the location that iTunes has listed for the song. What does it say?

  • Have backed up music to external device, downloaded Itunes to my new laptop, music wont play it askes for file

Have backed up my I Tunes music on external device, downloaded Itune program on my new laptop,  transfered from external device, but music wont play without external device plugged in, it askes to locate original file when i try to play music without external device plugged in, please can you help

It sounds like you restored the library in a way which has the library assoicated with the tracks on the external rather than the internal drive. Did you perhaps use iTunes to consolidate to that drive before the transfer and copy the library files over independently?
I have script called FindTracks that can usually repair broken links, alternatively I might be able to guide you through some steps that would make the library on the external drive work as a self contained unit, and having done that you should be able to copy the library files to the internal drive to repair that one. See make a split library portable for details.

  • My itunes music wont play

my music wont play out of itunes

If you read other posts, you will see that you are not the only one. Getting the program (download I guess) is not much help, but getting it installed is another story.

  • The songs on my Ipod Classic wont play at all although you can feel and hear the machinery working hard. The tracks are not playng at all but you can see the Ipod rewinding them all and returning to the album. And this happens to the second IPOD I have!

The songs on my Ipod Classic wont play at all although you can feel and hear the machinery working hard. The tracks are not playng at all but you can see the Ipod rewinding them all and returning to the album. And this happens to the second IPOD I just got!

First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

  • How come some previously downloaded tracks wont play in itunes 11.1.3, and there is no option to download again

How come some previously downloaded tracks wont play in itunes 11.1.3 and there is no option to download again?

    Hey KMK14,
I understand you are having issues with a few tracks in iTunes. The best troubleshooting step may be to delete the song from your library, and re-download using iTunes in the Cloud (if available in your country).
For more information, see the following:
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
