Help!!!!!! my iPod touch nd gen will not turn on at all even after charging it for 2 days straight what's wrong???

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod touch 3rd gen will not turn on

    Hi
Updated my Ipod touch 3rd generation and now it will not turn on. I have restored it in itunes and updated it with the latest software but still nothing.
The Ipod however is seen within Itunes.
Any help would be greatly received.

    - Try here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - When you restore does the appear that the iPod successfully goes through all the stages of restore?
If yes, try placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then restore.
    Next try DFU Mode

    - Then try a different computer
    - Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • IPod Nano 7th Generation will not turn on

My 10 month old iPod Nano 7th Generation will not turn on - all of a sudden.
All songs on the device have disappeared.
Shows in iTunes - even shows as having a fully charged battery.
Holding Home Button and Sleep/Wake button down, even for a long time, doesn't help.
Have changed USB ports, from computer to AC powered USB charging station.
    Help?

Just saw elsewhere on the forum to press and hold the power and home buttons and it fixxed it for me

    Hi meganisawsome,
If your iPod will not turn on and you are getting indicators that there is no battery left, the first step would be to make sure that the iPod has been charged correctly. You may find the following article useful:

  • My ipod nano 6th generation will not turn on.

My iPod nano (6th generation) will not turn on. I have charged it (attached to my computer) for 30 minutes. I have tried to reset it (held down Wake and Volume Down for 8 seconds)- no response. I have factory restored it (through iTunes)- no response. It shows up as connected to my computer and will sync in iTunes, but the display on the iPod will not turn on. Any ideas?

    Hey s.mccarter2010,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you have tried a lot of things and the iPod still will not turn on. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
    iPod won't turn on
If you have tried the solutions above and iPod still won't turn on, check the following:
Make sure iPod is the only device in your FireWire or USB chain. Disconnect everything but the mouse, keyboard, and your iPod, then see if it will turn on.
Make sure you are using the FireWire or USB cable that came with your iPod, and that the cable is in good condition.
Try connecting iPod to the built-in port of a different computer to see if that works. Note: If using a portable computer, make sure it is plugged in to a power source and that the lid or display is open. If the lid is closed the computer may go into either standby, sleep, or hibernation mode and iPod will not charge properly.
If you still can't turn iPod on after performing these steps, it may need to be repaired. You can arrange for repair at the iPod Service Website.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,

  • My ipod nano 6th gen will not sync.

My ipod nano 6th gen will not sync. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes; I have reset the nano; I have used a different USB port and connector; I have rebooted my computer. Any suggestions?

I just did the same. Spent at least two hours trying different actions. Then uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. Also used a different USB port, etc. Also rebooted computer.   No option for syncing is showing up on Itunes and when I run diagnostics it says there is no device detected- yet it is plugged into a USB port and the screen on the Nano says connected. I had this issue with my 6th generation nano.  It was driving me nuts, until I realized that somehow locked the repeat button on. Selecting one song rather than a selection will cause whatever song you have selected to play over and over and over and over..
