What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting? After leaving the Nano to sit and charge for at least 30 minutes, try resetting it by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. You'll want to make sure the Hold Switch is not in the On position as well.

My ipod nano 5th gen, is having trouble syncing photos and saying the file isnt there and it wont sync the photos. what could be wrong ??
i have re-set settings and that didnt work

That might be a damaged iPod photo cache, Kid.
If you delete your photo cache as per the following document, are you able to get a proper photo sync?

IPod Nano (5th gen, 16GB) syncing some albums, but not others...?

Hello! I am new to the world of iPods, so please bear with me.
I recently purchased an iPod Nano (5th gen, 16GB) and figured out how to sync it with iTunes. Unfortunately, it seems to only sync up with select albums in my library. I know that in order for an album to sync there needs to be check marks next to each song, which I did, but after I sync it I browse my iPod and find that only (roughly) half of the albums I indicated actually show up on my iPod. For example, I was able to sync albums by The Afghan Whigs, Bryan Ferry, and Berlin just fine, but for some reason I was not able to sync certain albums by Autechre, Low, or King Black Acid.
What gives?? I will note that I am using the Windows 7 release candidate - hopefully this has nothing to do with it.

IPod Nano 7th gen wont turn on after a restore

I tried holding down the top and middle buttons and it wont work, this is a replacement one for an iPod Nano 7th gen with corrupted software, could it be the same problem?
During the restore it says it's restored and not to disconnect my iPod but then can't seem to find it so it repeats the restore again and again
Starting to get really annoyed with it now

Ipod touch 5th gen dies within 2 mins of not being pluged in

i got a ipod touch 5th gen for christmas and it worked great up until the last 2 months or so i will charge it all night and in the morning i will unplug it and check facebook and before i can even open the app it will die and wont turn on until i plug it in again. So whats the problom is it the battery or ios 7 and i didnt get water or anything on it so its not shorting out or anything like that. maybe theres somthing they changed in the 5th gen battery that doesnt work right. someone help!!

Ipod nano 5th gen wont restore

My iPod nano decided to not charge or sync, and then when I decided to show up on my macbook pro, I clicked restore and half way through the restore it decided to drop out and wont come back up on the computer. I have tried plugging it into another MacBook Pro, a Dell PC and same thing. Also when I do plug it in it turns into a white screen and shows a tick and ok to disconnect and doesnt even come up on the Mac.
Any ideas from here?

If you have not already, do a Reset on the iPod

In case the battery is drained, do the Reset while it is connected to power (USB port or power adapter). If that does not help, try putting it into Disk Mode

If Disk Mode works, shut down (power off) the MacBook. Disconnect all other USB devices and connect the iPod to a direct USB port on the MacBook. Start up the MacBook, and run iTunes to see if the iPod is recognized. iTunes may prompt you with an "iPod in recovery" message. Try to do a Restore again, if possible.
Also, to rule out a bad USB docking cable, try a different cable or use that cable with a different device, if possible. Since you tried it with different computers, I think you've ruled out something wrong with the USB port on the first MacBook.

okay i got this ipod nano off one of my friends. I plugged it into my own computer and the apple logo came onto the screen, then after a few seconds the main menu screen came on, but while doing this i accidently knocked the cord connecting my ipod to the computer, then my ipods screen went black and said "please eject before disonnecting " but as it slightly came out it was "disconnected" so i tried putting it back it but the ipod wouldnt turn on, only a blank black screen. I have tried all the steps from apple but none of them are working, please tell me whats wrong with the ipod and how i can fix it !!! i really need this ipod !!

My Ipod Nano 4th Generation will not turn on. I plug it into my computer and get nothing, i tried resetting it and that did nothing. I then plugged it back into my computer and i got an error message on Itunes saying that my Ipod was corrupt. I know can not get Itunes to recognize my Ipod, even for a 'corrupt' message. I have had my Ipod for over a year now and wondered if anyone els had had this problem and even better knew a way of fixing it. I cant afford a new Ipod and need one for work. I have the same problem. I've had mine since Christmas and when I went to listen to it today the screen just shut down and it's unresponsive to anything. Even being plugged in to my computer. The only thing it does it make a clicking sound when I take it off hold.
I've also done the Five R's and none of them worked.

ok so i have an ipod touch 2nd generation and i have had it for many years. A few months ago it would not turn on and kept telling me to connect to itunes but the problem is my itunes library is set up at my dads house and i live with my mom. so i tried connecting it to my laptop to see if it would turn on. well it asked me if i wanted to restore it and i was really tried and couldnt think what restored meant so i clicked yes! and it wiped out my entire library! i was in tears because i had had $50 worth of music and apps that werent backed up! so i sent my ipod to my dad and got everything sorted out. but last night i tried to turn my ipod on and it wouldnt turn on so i just plugged it in to charge and left it. i came back to see if it was done and it wouldnt turn on and it told me to connect to the itunes store. i probably have about $50 worth of music that is not backedup this time! omg i want to cry! i am smart enough to not pulg in into my laptop because i know what restore means now! and i have tried holding the buttons down and everything and i let it charge all day! what do i do! please please help me! if i send it to my dads will all of my music that is not backed up sync into my library? or will i lose it all?!?! please please help me!! IPod Nano 7th gen - software update error and now not functioning

Hello,
I recently plugged an older 7th gen iPod Nano that I hadn't used in a while into my computer (Windows 7 operating system) and iTunes wanted me to let it update its software. I said 'yes,' not really thining anything of it, and as the software update was taking place, an 'unexpected error' occurred. Now my iPod will not turn on or respond or anything. It shut off while plugged into the computer and has stayed off and I am unable to get it to turn back on. It is totally dead, like the failed update somehow ruined my iPod.
The iPod itself was a little damaged - the LCD touchscreen was nonfunctioning due to water damage, and only displayed a white screen when on, but I could still 'shake to shuffle' and it would play all of my music just fine. Now the iPod will not work at all.
Is there anything that can be done or am I just out of luck here? Did the fact that the iPod was damaged have something to do with the failed update?
I'm kind of bummed 'cause the iPod still played my music perfectly....

I should add 2 important points: 1) I have no trouble syncing with my PC, just in updating the nano software, and (2) Buried in some Apple reference I found mention of problems if the nano isn't formatted for a PC vs. Mac. It gives info on how to tell what the format is, but it's outdated (the menu choices are different). I believe it is already formatted for a PC because of an entry under Settings/About which says the Version is "1.0 PC". Tell me if I'm wrong. Also, it would help me if I knew the destination of the software download. Does it download directly to the Nano or to a temporary folder on my PC?
