My ipod nano 6th generation cannot sync with my itunes that was recently updated, why?

I have recently updated my itunes. My ipod is no longer recognized and I cannot figure out how to sync it. Please help!

Hello, after a week and tried to look, I solved the problem by myself!!!!!
If you happen to have the same problem with any device, first uninstall the current version of Itune by the panel, but also AppleMobileDeviceSuport. This little pest in the last days just removes the driver preventing iTunes to recognize your Apple device. Subsequently, when they are uninstalled I recommend to install the previous version. You can download from this site: http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php
Then when you reinstall iTunes, perform the upgrade to another version that créeras a new version of any fresh AppleMobileDeviceSuport and Driver.
Good luck to all and do not hesitate to write to me as I try to help you.

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue?  Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?
    How to reset iPod
Has this iPod ever worked on this PC or is this the first time you have time you have tried connecting it?
Have you carefully worked through each and every single suggestion in this Apple support document?

  • My iPod nano 5th generation is not recognized by iTunes. I did update, but still, it won't work. I don't want to uninstall the iTunes cos  I don't want to lose my music and audio books. What to do? It started after I updated iTunes.

  • Ipod nano 6th gen. not syncing with itunes match

After the new itunes 11 release I cannot sync my Ipod nano 6th generation with Itunes match without downloading all the songs I want to copy to my ipod to the computer first.
It is a little compersome to download 8Gb to my mac just for syncing and after sync delete them from my computer so that I just stream it again (airbook simply does not have enough space)

iTunes 11 won't even recognize my 1st and 3rd gen nanos. They've just rendered all the devices I love useless.
You can send feedback on the upgrade here:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html. I'm hoping enough legacy iPod users will speak up that they'll rethink and/or fix it.

  • Ipod nano 6th Generation cannot be swipe

    Hi all,
I have an iPod nano 6th Gen which i have not use for months. I just recently sync it to a new computer running on Windows 7.
As it is a new computer it has to reformat the ipod nano and I have chosen FAT 32 to make it sync with iTunes.
Once it has finished syncing and updated the information, I have disconnected from the computer. What happened next was that I could not swipe anything on my screen. What appeared on my screen was this frame/bounding box around the icons, clock and battery meter depending where i tap . I can tap into the feature but as the nano runs in swiping gestures I cannot go back out.
What i have tried to do:
I have tried hard reset (holding sleep button + Volume "-") that appeared not working
    then
Re-formatted again (through windows 7) and sync with the same procedure in itunes resulted with no luck.
    Any clues what to do?

Have you checked the accessibility settings? When you plug the iPod into the computer and select the device on the left, the iPod will display in the summary screen (Displays all devie info). At the very bottom there will be a button call Configure Universal Access press this and make sure everything is turned off.

  • IPod nano 1st generation cannot be recognize by iTunes 11.1.3 on macbook

i cannot get my itune recognize my ipod nano 1st generation.  And i can't sync it with ituen on my macbook.  Pls help

    Hello there, lycusfenriz.
It can definitely be frustrating when your having trouble with multiple devices at the same time, but the steps in the article below may help with getting your iPod recognized in iTunes. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great, in-depth recommendations for troubleshooting an iPod not being recognized in iTunes:
iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4433
    Connectivity/syncing
Follow these steps if your computer doesn't recognize your iPod or you have issues with syncing your iPod.
iPod not recognized by iTunes or computer
Make sure you have installed the latest iTunes software from www.itunes.com/downloads. Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer. Your computer needs a USB 2.0 port or a USB 3.0 port to connect iPod nano. If you have a Windows PC that doesn't have a USB 2.0 port, in some cases you can purchase and install a USB 2.0 card.
If iPod nano is connected to a USB hub, try connecting iPod nano directly to your computer's USB port.
iPod nano might need to be reset. Reset iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and Home button until you see the Apple logo appear.
If you're connecting iPod nano to a portable computer using the Lightning Cable, connect the computer to a power outlet before connecting iPod nano.
Check the cable connections. Disconnect the cable at both ends and make sure no foreign objects are in the USB ports. Then reconnect the cable.
Try reinserting the Lightning connector into the iPod. The Lightning connector can be inserted either way.
    Try restarting your computer.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, you might need to restore the iPod nano software.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Ipod Nano 6th gen not syncing mp3s after itunes 11.1.4.62 update

As the title says, after updating itunes to the 11.1.4.62 update, and everything that doing that successfully involved such as completely uninstalling all Apple software and then reinstalling itunes, my ipod nano 6th gen will not allow itunes to sync any mp3 files to it. The only way to get any new files onto it is to let the ipod convert them into AAC files when you transfer, even though all other music files on the ipod are, and have always been, mp3 files. Everything worked fine before the latest itunes update, I could sync mp3 files to the ipod nano with no problems.
Anyone know of a solution to this issue, or whether Apple are working on a solution for this obviously botched itunes update?
    Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. Thank you for the response.
Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.
