  • My Ipod Nano 3rd generation will not hold a charge.

I tryed to cord and left the nano charging for a day and as soon as i use it the battery is dead with in minutes.

Given that the Nano is more than a couple of years ago, it's likely that the battery is nearly shot and in need of replacement either by Apple, a 3rd party service center, or yourself if you feel up to the job.
Not much else you can do for troubleshooting this one. Sorry.

  • IPod Nano 7th Generation will not turn on

My 10 month old iPod Nano 7th Generation will not turn on - all of a sudden.
All songs on the device have disappeared.
Shows in iTunes - even shows as having a fully charged battery.
Holding Home Button and Sleep/Wake button down, even for a long time, doesn't help.
Have changed USB ports, from computer to AC powered USB charging station.
    Help?

Just saw elsewhere on the forum to press and hold the power and home buttons and it fixxed it for me

  • My Ipod nano 7th generation will not sync.

My Ipod nano 7th generation will not sync, I have updated itunes very recently. Everytime I try to sync anything, playlists, music, podcasts, or even photos from my computer, It does not sync. However before It syncs it tells me that I need to authorize my computer so that I can play purchased songs, so I log in with my apple ID and it says that the computer is now authorized but then when I press the sync button again the same message pops up over and over. Can anybody fix this?

    Hello stowie10,
I would make sure that music is checked to sync, or any other data at that. Check out the following article to get the squared way with this setup.

  • IPod nano (7th generation) will not restore in iTunes

Recently, I've been havng issues syncing my iPod nano (7th generation). I thought the most logical way to fix this is to restore it. When I click "Restore" everything is fine till it gets to "Extracting Software" then it says "The iPod "Alex's iPod nano" can not be restored because it is in use with another application." I do have warranty. Should I take it to the Apple Store?

Is the Enable Disk Use option enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes? If so, disable it and then try restoring again.
Sometimes simply rebooting the iPod and Mac can resolve the issue. To reset the Nano, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • My iPod nano 7th generation will not turn on or charge.

Can someone please help me. My ipod has shutoff. It will not turn on what so ever. I have tried methods from other posts such as resetting it but still nothing. Is this a sign of a dead battery?

  • IPod nano 7th Generation will not register in computer

My iPod 7G has suddenly ceased recognizing any power source. The battery died I went to plug it in and neither the computer or iTunes would not even register that there was anything attached. When I tried to restart and do a hard restore, it would glitch and just continuously restart unless unplugged from power. I have not added any new files that could have altered it.

  • HT1365 my ipod nano 7th generation will not connect with my MacBookAir 2012 11 inch. It will pair but the message on my ipod says that it can't and make sure it is in range and on but it is.

it is and all ready mut wont work tried moving but still dosn't work

Well, shut my mouth!  There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.
Is there a name for this when you end up replying to your own aggravating question?  That's what I did.  Now I can go out and listen.  It's only 91 degrees.  Heaven. Thanks, Apple.

  • My iPod Nano 7th generation will not make any sound.

The sound is all the way up, the ear pods are plugged in completely, and I have the song playing. I have tried turning it on and off, going to settings. What's wrong? Please don't tell me to get another one...I can't afford it...

It is under warranty, you won't have to pay for another one.
The headphone jack is very tight on a new Nano, be sure the headphones are plugged all the way in.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

I had this issue with my 6th generation nano.  It was driving me nuts, until I realized that somehow locked the repeat button on. Selecting one song rather than a selection will cause whatever song you have selected to play over and over and over and over..
