724 mb used, when i have nothing, no music or photos on my ipod nano. Can someone please help me. its realy making me mad because i cant put any of my good songs on it

My ipod nano has a white screen - it will play music, and it is recognized by itunes. It won't enter disc mode. I can't seem to find any other helpful steps to follow online other than put it into disc mode and restore it via itunes. When I attempt to put it into disc mode holding power/Vol down together the screen will turn back, but when I then hold down Vol down/Vol up together while the screen is dark it just goes back to white screen. I did plug it into the computer and restore it via itunes, and the screen is still white. Any ideas? Thanks!

It sounds as if you have already done much of the troubleshooting suggested in this article, but I would suggest you work through it in order to get your iPod nano back up and running -

Specifically -
Try putting the iPod into disk mode:
Reset the device (press the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display turns black—about eight seconds).
When the display turns black, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk mode.
While the device is in disk mode, sync it to iTunes and try to restore.
And if the issue is not resolved -

Do you know there is the lock/unlock thing on the top or bottom right? If that doesn't work, hold down the middle circle and top portion of the circle button at the same time and hold until the screen goes black. Let go and soon an apple will appear. If you wait / press some buttons (i am not sure exactly how this part works) it will turn white and then the screen will appear again. You have all your music and everything still but the problem should be gone. This also works if your iPod ever freezes.

Hi, my friend's iPod nano has an iPod nano that unfortunately is oddly covered in spots that he described as this: they are on the outside of the screen...around it...and they just look like smudges from lint or dirt but they will not come off same on the back. Please help! Thankyou!

You should try calling apple support open that one they should be able to help you the number is 1-800-MY-APPLE just don't be a jerk and get impatient because they can screw you over and not even care.

My Ipod nano has acted weird for the past week, then yesterday the screen goes white!! I don't know how to fix it or what to do.

If a hard reset of the device or a restore of it via iTunes does not resolve the issue, it's likely hardware related. Could be a damaged LCD or a loose ribbon cable that connect to your iPod's logic board.
Either way, your iPod will need servicing in order to gain full functionality of it.

my ipod nano has blank screen and will not show anything. I`ve tried to restore it but when i plug it into my computer it says that i didn`t plug it in. I`ve tried to call apple and ask what was going on, but every time i call it either get`s me a machine or it`ll keep ringing and ringing. I`ve tried to write, but no one has wrote me back. I had my ipod nano since November 17, 2005 and I still haven`t used it, can anyone help? You could try the 5r's, and disk mode.
Or you could call Apple 1-800-275-2273, I think there hours are 9-9 EST Mon_fri.
If you've had it a year I would call them and tell them it's not working and get the Apple Care.
