My ipod nano isn't syncing when I try and change the setting in manually, but is however syncing when I launch the itunes by plugging it in. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and/or had been able to fix the problem?

Do you have any better luck with that if you update to iTunes 10.6.1.7?

Setting up syncing
Before setting up syncing you should download and install the latest version of iTunes. Wi-Fi syncing requires iTunes 10.5 or later and iOS 5 or later. You can change your sync options at any time. Each time you sync, content is synced between your iOS device and computer to reflect new, updated, or deleted content.
USB syncing
Open iTunes.
Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable and select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side. Some tabs may not appear if you do not have corresponding content in your library. For example if you do not have any podcasts in your library, the corresponding Podcast tab will not appear.
Click Apply, in the lower-right corner of the screen, to sync.
Wi-Fi syncing
Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.

Indesign crashing when I try to change document set up to facing pages

I am working in a 14 page file with 2 different master pages. The file opens like normal and I am able to edit etc. If I try to change the document to be facing pages the document crashes. Does anyone know why this is? I have already tried to copy the pages into a new document and save with a new name. I have tried to unlock everything from the masters and delete the master template. No luck. The IT department at my work wasnt able to figure it out so I am hoping someone can help me here. Thank you in advance.

It sounds to me like a font issue. If it's only affecting one document, then fonts would be the first place to start. Save a copy of the document and work from there as a test. First, in the Type/Find Font panel, select the fonts in the top part of the window (one at a time) and in the Replace with... pull-down, choose a generic font which you know works; click on Replace All. Repeat this for each font, effectively changing all fonts in the document to one font. Then save, close, and open the document again. Try repeating the crash and if it doesn't happen, then you know you've isolated a font issue. At that point, you can start adding fonts one at a time until you hit the one which causes the crash. Make a note of it, and either disable it or remove it. If it's a font issue, chances are that other documents which use it will start to crash, as well. If you're using Character and Paragraph Styles, this is easier, as you simply edit the styles to change the fonts in each style with the generic one. Hope this helps.

After installing the safari 5.1.7 update when Im on aol and I go to ebay or certain web sites the sign in area and password area is blacked out? Has any one else had this issue and how to you correct it.

On May 12th 2012 I updated Safari to 5.1.7 on my imac desktop. I also have snow leopard installed.After doing this update when I am on aol and I go to ebay, amazon and a few other sites the sign in area and the password area are blackened out. You could type in the area but not see what you are doing. Has any one else had this problem? Is there a fix?? I spoke to apple support last week and they dont have a clue on how to fix the issue nor does aol.Please help? Thanks.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now back to the menu bar, click Safari > Empty Cache
Quit then relaunch Safari.
Try one of the sites you had trouble accessing...

When I try to update itunes, it tells me that itunes can not find a pathway to my computer. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and how to resolve it?

When i plug my iphone into my computer and try to sync it with my itues library, a message comes up saying I can't sync until i update itues. When i try to update itunes, a message pops up that says itunes cannot find a pathway to my computer and it tells me to find a pathway. I have no idea what this means and i have played around with it for weeks now. Can anyone help me??

The first message says "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resorce that is unavaliable. Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package." Then when i click ok a message that pops up says "The path cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "iTunes64.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product itunes."

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

My daughter bought an 4th generation ipod classic without a charger. We are using the charger from an ipod touch and it won't charge. Someone posted online that not all chargers will work on the classic. Anyone else have this issue and any suggestions?

The ipod did not come with a power cord as we purchased it used from ebay. The ipod was half charged when we received it and it worked well enough to transfer songs to my computer (the previous seller didn't delete their 2000 plus songs). My son then used the same cord on his computer to transfer the songs, but processed an update to the ipod and after that,it wouldn't work. So, I'm not sure if we received a bum ipod, an update issue or we have a charger issue, but the cord we used to transfer the songs came from my son's brand new ipod touch. We've also tried 2 other chargers from ipods we have in the house, 1 being a wall charger.
One individual posted online that he took his ipod classic, mac and phone overseas with one charger and it worked fine on all but the classic. So, I'm thinking that they cords may not be universal. Online I've read that it must be a 6 pin firewire, high power 2.0 usb cord. Or that I need to purchase an applie charger. We don't live close to an apple store and I'm reluctant to order one just to have it NOT work.
My daughter is learning the hard way that buying off of ebay is not always the best solution to a cash strapped 12 year old.

If you got the Unlocked message it means it was successfully unlocked by AT&T. Apple will not relock or block it. They have no objections to it being used on T-Mobile. It is still under warrantee. Take to an Apple store. They can test it with a SIM from AT&T. If that doesn't work have them replace the phone. Have them verify that the new phone is unlocked. If it does work with the AT&T card then it is a T_Mobile problem.

I have the late 2013 Macbook Pro 15 inch with apple care, and the display flickers in a certain spot at a certain brightness. Has anyone ever had this issue, and what did you do about it?

I doubt this is a GPU issue i've restarted my Mac, but the shape of the flickering area is in a cone shape comming from the bottom edge from the right side in about 2 inches. I'm thinking this is a failing display?

Apple will cover it if it was an accident or defect. Take it to a nearby Genius bar. I'm guessing its a graphics card or display issue. But the symptoms of a damaged GPU for me were different. I had issues with my last 13" MacBook Pro non-retina mid 2012. If I set it down or moved my machine, my screen would flicker and the pixels would be completely off and the whole system would freeze, even if I wasn't using it. If it fronze when I didn't use it, it would get REALLY hot. Like I said, if it's an accident and less than a year old, Apple will cover repairs. If it's older than a year and it was accidental, AppleCare won't cover it. If it was a defect, it will be covered as long as the AppleCare hasn't expired. If you buy a MacBook through BestBuy, you could buy BestBuy Care which covers accidental and defects. My friend fried his last machine with water and apple was going to charge him the price of a new machine and BestBuy charged about $900 and then he paid extra to upgrade to a new retina display.

Font changes when client is using IBE (in browser editing). Anyone had this issue and know how to fix it?

It's fine when I log into IBE but when the client does it the font changes, when they add words to the end of an existing sentence the font is fine, it's when they add a return and add a new line of text, this is when the font changes

I save web site passwords, but it does not consistently enter them when I log onto the same site. Seems to have started occurring after I installed Norton Internet Security 2012. Anyone aware of this issue and how to resolve?

Websites may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has encountered this?

I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro. Since I've installed Mountain Lion, the following has happened twice. I shut off the computer, sometime later turned it on and during startup (right after desktop appeared) it shut off. No reboot loop, nothing like that, it simply shut off. Both times I entered into safe mode by holding Shift key. In safe mode I basically did nothing, just rebooted the computer, and voile, it is working like charm now.
What do you think this is? In disk utility I checked all my partitions - no error was found on any.... What my concern is if it happened twice, it'll happen more (since I don't know what the cause was, nor what fixed it). Any ideas?

Could you please look into this log? I believe the crash must be in it somewhere...
