My iPod nano (newest version) screen lights up but does not work how can I fix this?

Need help please!!
I have an iPod nano, the newest version, it turns on, noticeable by a light that appears however it doesn't show the icons etc that the tactility of the iPod nano offers.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

It might also be a good idea to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore it once more in iTunes.
Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display. Since the device is still under a year old, it should still be covered by Apple's 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects. They should exchange it out for a new one at no cost.

Editing Info
Each audio or video file in iTunes has several settings and tags that can be easily modified. These options can be accessed by selecting any file in the iTunes browser windows and selecting "Get Info" from the File menu. You can add song lyrics, artwork and set special playback options. The "Info" tab lets you edit information about the file including artist and album info.
Once you have updated the information, close the iTunes application on the computer. Then reopen and resync to your iPod.
