My IPod Nano the first one is messing up. Can some one please help me.
My nano was working fine. Then all of sudden it would not turn on.. It said that it needed itunes. I then tryed to download itunes on the computer and it would not download... I thought itunes came with the ipod. On my sisters the itunes came with the ipod... I have also tryed to just redownload the original itunes on my NEW computer but it would not work. Please someone help me.
The iTunes store comes on newer iOS devices as a standalone app. It does not come preloaded on older devices since these older iPods do NOT have Wi-Fi capability.
What happens when you tried to download iTunes? What was the error message you were receiving?

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
I have forgoten the security questions,i have tryed ewerithing to reset all of the instructions i have recived from the apple support team. I still can not reset the questions. Can some body please help me to reset them. Thank you and best regards

My Ipod nano 4th generation will not charge or turn on! Please help
I bought a refurbished Ipod nano 4th generation 2 weeks ago from a good reliable ebay seller. It arrived and was in great working order with no issues what so ever. However this evening I realised it was out of battery, so I went to charge it and nothing. No light up, no recognition of it being plugged into the PC or when I try via a plug socket. I have contacted the seller about this asking for a refund as I have not done anything or put it anywhere that it would die like this. However I thought before I try to send it back I would try here and see if anybody knows what may be wrong with it.

New to the Apple 'Newton' Messagepad 2100/2000 Can Some One Help?
So I've just recently discovered the world of the Apple Messagepad. I've been searching for a while now for a pda that best suites my interests and needs. When I came across this old ad for the Messagepad I totally got excited as I love Apple products and seriously loved the look and features that the device boasted. So - now I've put some bids on a couple of 2100 models on ebay and am waiting, I've also found some resellers, I'm definitely going to get a hold of one of these devices. I've done some research on the devices and am concerned mostly with the just how difficult it will be to install software and/or upgrades onto the device from my G5 Powermac. Is there anyone out there with advice and/or suggestions for this Newton Newbie? Any info you can offer me about anything having to do with Messagepads would be surely helpful.

In addition to the links already posted you will really need to look carefully at www.unna.org - specifically the wikiwikinewt which is a goldmine of information. Also after reading that if you have any questions you can post them on www.newtontalk.net.
To get going on the install of software you have to overcome the "bootstrapping" problem (see wikiwikinewt). If you don't have access to someone with a Newt (you can then use iRDA) or can't get hold of a PCMCIA card from another Newt owner, then you will need a serial cable setup + a serial/USB adapter + a dongle for the Newt. The dongle adapts the Newt connector to the old Mac serial cable and the adapter makes it possible to connect to the latest Macs (this is what I use) (Keypsan produce a good adapter).

when purchasing an app on the app store you need to answer your security question answers. i do not remember mine. i hit the button that says for them to email me to reset my answers. everytime i do that i never get the email. can somebody help me! please
Probably because the address you provided as a rescue email when setting up your account is not longer valid. Contact Support and ask for account security.

sathishI have the same problem. I think that someone tried my iphone before me because when I want to reset it, I'm invited to enter a password that I didn't set. Also, when I go the Map application, the iphone indicate that I'm locateded in China while I'm in Tunisia. Now, I can't connect to my iphone to itunes, and I can't reset it because it ask me to enter a password that I didn't set.

I accidentally dropped by old ipod in the garage and drove over it. So I bought an ipod nano 7th gen. to replace it. Can I transfer the itunes from my old ipod to my new one? I only have about 30.
AAll of your iTunes purchases can be re-downloaded again. Log into iTunes Store, select the Purchases tab for Apps, Music, etc.
if you've been syncing your old iPod with iTunes, you can restore everything to your new iPod from the old backup. -
what is up with the iPod nano 7th gen. I just had a second one die. both after only 3 weeks of useage... both dead since Jan 10th 2013.
this is an answer I just gave to someone else.
i'm going to ask you to try something I just did to fix a maybe simular problem that worked..... but I don't know why yet........make sure your iPod in plugged into your computer (mine is a Mac) and iTunes is turned on. My iPod was also "dead" but had been plugged into my computer for a couple of hours (but not lit up in any way). Then (in desperation) I held down all the buttons, the on/off (on top right), the small Home botton at the bottom of the face, and the volume/pause buttons (left side). For whatever reasons my iPod came back to life in a needs restoring mode ....and asked me to restore it in the itunes like "new' iPod connected mode. Since I have a Mac I also had to give permission to do a download by entering my computer password. If you have to do the same have that password ready. Then it did a restore software download. Everything previously on the iPod was erased and had to be re-synced, but I was just thankful to get it up and restored again.
Give this a shot and I hope it works for you.....but why? I don't know yet, I need more questions answered. -
In the attempt of updating my ipod touch, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to the itunes in my computer (windows xp ) because my ipod touch got blocked up, leaving the icon of USB cable and itunes on my touch screen. I am asked to restore my ipod first, but i have tried using all the examples stated and still can't help. Please please, can some one help me out ? Please help me. I bought a song which played on my computer, but when I tranfered it to my IPod, only the first 30 seconds of it will play. Help please. Is there a way I can contact Apple to complain, because I'm not paying $1.29 for the first 30 seconds of a song. Or is there anyway to fix it? (note: i have already synced my Ipod and it has the latest version of ITunes)
Im having a similar promblem! Only its doesnt work on my Itunes library and the song ends at 49 seconds. Have you fixed your problem yet?
