my ipod is no longer showing up in my itunes, it use to i have tired everything, it will only charge can you tell me what could be wrong and how to fix it please
There may be various issues associated with updating to iTunes 10.4.1 but I was able to fix my problem with iTunes not seeing my devices. iTunes would start fine but connecting my iPhone or iPad would result in the beach ball hang. I noticed the same thing would happen if I tried to click on the MobileMe icon on the status bar so it pointed to a sync services problem. Looking in "~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices" I saw some "ErrorInfo.txt" files with "SyncDataDirectoryCorruptedException, reason = The Admin Database does not exist. It should have been created by upgradedb."
I had already reinstalled Lion to get iTunes10.4 back which didn't help so that step may not be necessary but I restored "~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/Local" from my Time Machine backup from the day before the 10.4.1 update and that fixed my problem.
I've re-updated to 10.4.1 and everything still works.

My ipod touch (4th gen) is no longer visible as a device in iTunes. This is a new development (it was fine the last time I connected my iPod to my PC about three weeks ago). When I plug it into the PC (directly into a PC USB port) the PC beeps (confirming connection) and the device shows up in Windows explorer. Most of the songs on my iPod Classic no longer show up on iTunes on my laptop. I deleted iTunes & installed the latest version but this did not change anything. For example on 1 playlist I have 66 songs but only 1 shows on the iTunes screen. Thanks you for any help.

When i add music to my 5th gen ipod it will no longer sync in itunes. It shows up in itunes, but when i add mysic it comes up with an error number (13019). The songs show under music on my ipod, but when i disconnect it theyre not on there for me to listen to. HELP!!!
easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

Latest version of itunes (11.0.2.26) no longer registers shows i've watched on my iPod as "watched"
Until this version of iTunes, whenever I watched a TV show on my iPod classic, it would be removed from the iPod that next time i synched with my laptop. For some reason, this is no longer happening. I'd like to restore this behavior, which i believe is the default design. Did the philosophy change with version 11.0.2?
If you use the Manually manage music and videos setting on the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes, it may not automatic sync such supporting data (because the library in iTunes is not directly related to the library on the iPod). Do you use that setting? Or do you use automatic syncing?

When I went to update my iPod touch on iTunes, it said unable to update then the iPod shutdown and no longer showed connected in iTunes. I have tried holding down both buttons for up to 3 mins with no luck turning it on, even after a full charge. Help?
Try:

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

If it is otherwise working, you can change the battery. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the part on eBay and other online sources. Just make sure you know the type of iPod you have so that you get the right part.

If it is just the battery, if you do a Reset (using the Menu and Select buttons) while it is connect to your computer, I think it should still be recognized by iTunes. -

You should still be able to sync you iPod. Your iPod just can be updated past iOS 4.2.1.

I am not sure why, but everything in my library is gone. I no longer see my songs, or my playlist.

My IPOD Classic Video 5. Gen. showed videos, but now it does no longer show them, instead i see a black picture on my IPOD and it doesn`t work. I have to restart it every time, i try it. i restore the software with itunes, but the problem still exists.
The Videos are showed up front 4 months, but now they are no longer to be seen. When you star a video first the hard drive starts, but then it stops and hangs up. I have to restart it, starting with the apple logo....Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
New iTunes update, iPod no longer shows up in iTunes
Got a update request from iTunes today and accepted the upgrade for iTunes and QuickTime. I ignored the warning from Microsoft that this was not approved for XP (stupid, but I doubted that Apple would trash my connection). After the install, I no longer have my iPod show up in my iTunes. I have done a System Restore, deleted iTunes and reinstalled, deleted iTunes and manually removed all left over folders and then reinstalled; followed all of the troubleshooting items at http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/itunes/ and lots of other things over the past 6 hours. I am really tired now. Does anyone have any help. Note that the iPod charges through the ISB port, the wi-fi worksm the apps and music and library items show up in iTunes. The only thing that is missing is the iPod showing up in iTunes so that I cannot sync. Also when I open iTunes I get this message:

box every time I open iTunes, but this is an annoyance, not a disaster. Still any help in stopping this pop-up would be appreciated. Also I have sucessfully imported a CD to iTunes, so I am not sure what the warning is about. (I do not have a downloaded song to try to burn to a CD however). -
My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good for me. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel. Also my itunes doesn't allow "enable disk use" anymore. Can anyone help? My ipod now says that it's the 4.3.4 version

Updated to iTunes 7 - artwork no longer shows on ipod
After upgradeing to iTunes 7 and firmware upgrade to 1.2 on my 60gb video ipod, I no longer see artwork on my ipod. In fact, everything was pretty messed up, so I restored my ipod, but retained the 1.2 firmware version and iTunes 7 on my PC (Win XP Pro).
I've now added some of my music back onto the ipod, and I've added some artwork and it all shows up correctly in iTunes, but doesn't show up at all on my ipod.
The only clue I have is an error I get when I enable the option to "Show artwork on the ipod" (in the Music tab) and hit Apply. I do not get the error when I uncheck this option and hit Apply. The error is "An Unknown Error has Occurred (-50)". I have spent the last 2 days searching the apple site as well as others but can't find anything with the (-50) error having to do with enabling artwork on the ipod.
I then thought that maybe one or more of my artwork .jpg files might be invalid or something, so I used iTunes to remove all of the artwork from every music file on my ipod, but I continue to get the same error everytime I try to set the option to enable artwork on my ipod.
I have to wonder if possibly there is something else going on here. I figured that after restoring my ipod back to factory and loading only a few of my music files back on, that the problem would resolve itself, but apparently it must be a bug in iTunes 7 or something else. I'm not doing anything I didin't do with iTunes 6.x and I've never had any problems seeing my album artwork on my ipod before.
Does anyone know what is going on?? I'm stumped.
