My iPod plays extremely softly out of the right earphone

I own a 30GB iPod, which for months was working perfectly fine, then one day the right earphone played very softly. I know that it isn't the headphones because when I use other headphones, it is exactly the same way. It plays perfectly out of the usb jack on speakers. Can somebody tell me why this is, and if so, how to fix it without sending it to Apple?

You could try a Restore, but I'm not sure that will fix it. Is it still under warranty? It sounds like a hardware issue, and I think it will probably require sending in for repairs.

  • My iPod (30GB Video) wont play music out of the right earphone.

I've restored it and whatnot numerous times and I've tried more than 10 different pairs of headphones. What should I do?

If it is in warranty take it to the closest Apple Store and they will exchange it or send it in for service:
    http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
If it is out of warranty you can either buy the parts and fix it yourself or send it to a 3rd party for service. Try http://www.iresq.com for one site, or Google for more.

  • When transfering tracks across to ipod a sliding panel appears on the right hand side of itunes. after acknowleadging the transfer the panel does not slide back out of the way to alow another transfer.

When transfering tracks to an ipod a sliding panel appears on the right hand side of itunes. This allows the selected track to be transfered. After registering this action the panel does not slide back out of the way to allow scrolling and more song selection. Any solutions..Help?

I have an even simpler method. I use MyPublisher to print my books. I select their page layout for a two-page spread, drag and drop the image. DONE!  I understand that most people have their favorite places to have work done. I have been extremely pleased with MyPublisher.com, so I haven't even tried the book module in Lightroom.

  • Can safari continue to play music whilst out of the application?

Can safari continue to play music whilst out of the application? For example, Have music continue to play on safari whilst on my home screen displaying my apps? Thanks

That's normal and as designed. The song will play out. You can pause it by pressing one of the volume buttons or use an app like 'Stop the Music' to completely exit the player.

  • SBLive!5.1 Line in only playing audio out in the right speake

I have a PS2, and i connected a audio out into the line-in socket, but the sound will only play on my right speakers. Is there anyway to balance this out?

I used one of the audio in cables (red or white). I believe one is for left, and one is for right, but even when i try the other, the sound only comes out of the right speakers. I connected both red and white into a 2 socket into connector, yet it still only produces sound on the right speakers.

  • Sound only comes out from the right ear/head phone. :((

My iTouch was working perfectly fine til it was connected to the school speaker for my dance. When I used it afterwards (with my headphones), the sound only came out from the right phone. I tried using my spare earphones and still no sound from the left. The headphones/earphones are working fine as I tested it with my laptop and mom's iPhone. So the real problem's with my iTouch!
What do I do? I tried syncing it to iTunes, even resetting it... but nothing! HELP. :((

If you connect your iPod with your computer, and if you can hear from both channels, that it is clearly something wrong with the earphone jack, there are few cases reported the dust in the earphone (metal parts?) causing the problem.

  • Why am I only getting audio out of the right side of my iPhone4 headset?

I plugged my car auxiliary audio cord into my iPhone 4 this morning, but the sound only came out of the right speakers.
I thought it might be the cord. So, I plugged in my iPhone headset, and the audio is still only coming out of the right side.
Why is it doing that, and how do I fix it?

i would try more headsets to be sure
and made 100% sure the connector was all the way in some people dont apply enough preasure
if it dont give anything the connector inside the phone is damanged and the phone will require repair

  • When I connected my iPod Classic or iPhone 4S to the right side USB port of my 2012 11 inches Macbook Air (128 GB SSD), I get a message from iTunes that I connected my device to a USB 1.1 port. I checked the specs, it's a USB 3 port. What's wrong?

  • The music on my iPod plays at normal volume but the voices are too quiet to hear

My iPod just started to play music at normal volume but the voices are too quiet to hear

If you confirmed it is not due to a problem with the headphones
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • AppleTV music quits playing and exits out to the top menu.

After about a minute or so of playing music, the streaming music abruptly stops and deposits me back out at the main menu. This only happens once; on any initial music session. After that, it will play for hours. It can't be a network issue; I'm using the RJ-45 connection, not wi-fi. I can't remember when it started happening, but could have started after the last update (v/5.2.1). I don't have Sleep turned on, either. Has anyone encountered this issue?

  • IPod Classic 80GB will only play music through the right earphone

    Hi everybody
a few days ago my ipod stopped playing music through both earphones and will now only play through the right one. it isn't the headphones because i brought a new set and used another set that i know work through both earphones but neither will work through both earphones on my ipod. This problem is really annoying me. I tried resetting it but nothing. I didn't do anything to it, i just didn't use it for a few days. and i really want to avoid restoring it to factory settings because it is almost full and only a handful of my songs are on my computer. any solutions?

Yeah I now know that after finding it in another thread. Thanks anyway. I live in Australia so I just gotta find someone who will repair it because I don't wanna risk ruining it by trying to do it myself. I asked an electronics place that replaces the batteries but they wouldn't do it. So if I can't find anybody to fix it, I'll probably buy a new one (cos I need one anyway) and try to fix the old one. The problem with finding someone to fix it is that I live in a country town and about 2-3 hours from Sydney and we don't have much here.

  • How do I play a saxophone part on a MIDI controller and have it come out at the right trasposition?

I am using Mainstage 3 with a MacBook Pro running Yosemite. When I play an alto sax line from printed sheet music on a MIDI controller keyboard, how do I make it transpose to the right pitch (down a major 6th)?

    Hi
One solution would be to select the Sax Channel Strip, click the MIDI Input Tab in the Inspector, and apply the Transpose function as required

  • Audio only comes out of the right head phone on my iPhone 4?

I've just bought an iPhone 4 16GB off a family friend and the phone was in fully working order, I've seen it and used it. It's been restored back to factory default and now audio only comes out of 1 head phone through  the audio jack? I've checked inside the jack for anything in there and I've used 4-5 pairs of head phones I know are working having used them in other devices. I've used this phone in the past with the head phones so I know it does work. I've tried doing a reset, same problem still occurs. Any idea's at all?
