My iPod randomly makes a noise, its like an air compressor and water dripping? \

So the other day i was playing my iPod and then a noise started like an aircompressor and water leaking. Its so random just happens, either when playing games, listening to music or just when not doing anything.
Have made sure there are no open apps, but lost as to what to do now.

Its so creepy, it's like its possessed... We havent had noise for 24hours since i rebooted, but my son is aware if it comes on again to come get me and going to record it. I was first heard when we were in the car the other day, and when he said air compressor, I thought it was the 4wd air compressor just too loud. Then he brought it to me yesterday and was really wierd. He wanted me to update the software on it but with the way i'm reading all this crashing happening, one problem is bad enough...lol

Try rebooting it by holding the Lock button and the Home button at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo shows up on the screen.
This usually works when your device is frozen

  • I need help restoreing my ipod nano 3rd gen so its like new

I need help restoreing my ipod nano 3rd gen so its like new

Plug it to your computer using iPod USB Cable (any cable should work excluding iPhone 5 and Shuffle cables)...... when you see your iPod in iTunes go to that iPod and click restore...... the whole process should take (depending on what you have on your iPod and its is up to date) it should take no longer than 30 minutes...... then it will ask if you want to set up as new iPod or restore from back-up (itunes back up), since you said:
    so its like new
click set as new iPod and follow through what they said.

  • Playing music from my new 4g ipod touch makes clicking noises in my stereo units speakers. Does not do it on my old Ipod

I have a new iPOD touch and when I play it through my stereo or car, the stereo makes apparently random clicking sounds in the music. It did the same with a unit I returned today for this problem. When I play the same song using my old ipod classic, using the same files, it does NOT make the clicking sound. Any ideas?

I'm having the same exact problem with our ipod touch 4g  - considering exchanging ....but you have done that and still have the same issue??.   Its not a consistant problem and can't recreate it on cue but its irritating when it starts happening cuz you start focusing on the clicking sound.  We've used a couple different USB cables to see if thats the problem and it still happens.
Very interested to hear if anyone as any answers as to why this is happening..... Thanks

I have him for 3 weeks now, and he didn't do it before. It just sounds like normal hard-drive sounds my old computer makes, but in my opinion it's not normal.
    anyone experience with this?

I had that problem too before.
I waited for 2 days and it stopped.
My friends banged it on the floor and it was perfect (exepet for a small dent.)

  • Fan started randomly make excessive noise for minute or so. Not hot and not with many applications, etc.

13" Late 2013 macbook pro retina with Yosemite;2.6 GHz Intel Core i5. Problem started in the last week or so. It doesn't seem too warm and there are not a lot of applications open. I use a cover and it doesn't sound like dirty fan. Computer is working normally otherwise. Ideas?

Resetting SMC could solve the problem.

  • 5th gen ipod video makes hard disk sounds when playing certain songs and lags then frrezes when trying to change

it makes a constant clicking noise like its stuck but plays the song fine till i try and change songs. it freezes, but the song still plays fine. any idea on what it could be? 30gb classic...

When the iPod starts to make non-music noises like clicking and stutters, it is a sign that some cluster of your hardisk is going bad.
The Restore do help by Reallocating the bad cluster, so that iTunes don't put any music there, anyway there are pending sectors, which is marked good after several tries, and iTunes put music there. So your problem will come back again, depending on how tender you are with your iPod.
So do a backup as soon as you can, use a 3rd party software if you need to backup from your iPod to portable hardisk, if you haven't backup your iTunes library.

My PC is just not reading my iphone at all, Do I nee to boost my memory? pick up photoshop elements? or something similar? While i was attempting to figure this out on my own I racked up alot of images for my flip book going back to mid september, right now I am only able to erace 8 images at a time. I'm ready to stop driving around in circles.

With an HP I guess you're running Windows.
If you plug in the iPhone does the camera wizard start up, or does windows ask you what program to use with *iPhone?
Is your computer fully finished booting before you plug in the phone?
Are you plugging DIRECTLY into the computer and not thru a hub or keyboard usb port? iPhones like a direct connection.
Have you changed usb cables to make sure you are connecting? Could be a bad cable.
Have you installed the mobile device driver from Apple?
    Are you running iTunes?
There is a steep learning curve in iTunes, but at least an older Windows computer will still sync and run iTunes without Windows XP 6.3.2.5, no now we need 6.3.2.5.1, that was yesterday, now we need 6.3.2.5.1.2

    Hi all,
Although all the edges and CM have the same ntp configuration , I still have this  major alarm on three Edge-WAAS even after synchronization .
Is it possible to learn more about this - what caused it, ect.

  • I have downloaded the latest version of itunes but when i plug in my ipod it doesn't come up as a device so carn't sync. Its like theres something blocking my computer link with itunes please help!

I have downloaded the latest version of itunes but when i plug in my ipod it doesnt list any devices in itunes to enable me to choose my ipod to sync it. Its like there is a link missing or something blocking my computer talking to itunes. My computer itself recongnises the ipod but itunes doesn't. Please help!

Yes reinstalled itunes a couple of days ago but got it sorted now thanks, the problem was that when i wiped my computer last week and reinstalled everything using the discs the free McAfee anti virus that the computer came with was still in my all programmes list although i aren't using it. This morning i tried unistalling that (didn't think it would make any difference as the programme wasn't active) once uninstalled i pluged the ipod in and hey presto it is now recognised by itunes, THANK GOODNESS. So panick over for now, thank you very much.

  • HDD makes "electronic" noise

    Hi
I have HP Pavilion 15 P079R15. When its working weird electronic noise (its like a sound when two electrized object contact each other). Frequency and loudness of this noise is very random, sometimes its very loud that makes me feel uncomfortable, sometimes i even cannot hear it. I live in Azerbaijan, Baku, so I took my laptop into BESTCOMP GROUP - local service partner of HP (I have warranty for 1 year), but they say it is normal - some HDDs make noise like this and they will not change Hard Disk in the terms of warranty.
I am not quiete sure about it. I would like to know, whether BESTCOMP GROUP telling the truth OR there should not be any '"electric noise" from HDD and they have to change HDD following the warranty
I should tell that there is no performance problem on my laptop but according this noise, but this noise extremely annoys me when Im working on something in my computer.
P.S I would like strongly emphasize that this noise is not the noise of turning hard disk. It is separate from that noise.
    Kind Regards
    Nail Mustafazade

  • I just found out my iPod touch will only sync to one library, what is the difference in technology of the iPod touch and iPod that makes this so?

I just found out in iTunes help that my iPod touch will only sync to one library unlike iPod.  What is the difference in technology between the iPod touch and the iPod that makes this so?
    Thanks

You can manage music and videos among different computers/libraries by following these instructions. You can only sync apps and photos from one library.
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers

  • HT1688 phone makes no noise, will not ring and cannot turn ringer up

phone makes no noise, will not ring and cannot turn ringer up

Did you check the silence/mute switch on the side of the phone above the vollume buttons?  If you can see an orange line then it wont make any noise.  You should flip it and it should work.
