My iPod restarts after I eject it, and every time I plug it in iTunes tells me I need to restore my iPod. Can anyone help me out?

So as the title says, I need help with this. I've been trying to find a solution for hours.

Just place it in recovery mode again and continue.  After some time the iPod will go out of recovery mode.  It can also take a longtime to download the firmware needed for the restore.
