  • Ipod stuck in lock mode and won't connect to Windows computer

My Ipod is stuck on the lock position and won't connect to my computer when I plug it in. The hold switch moves back and forth just fine and it was working perfectly yesterday. It's the classic nano that's square. It's stuck on a song that I used as my alarm yesterday morning. I haven't turned it on since then and when I pushed the on switch, it went to the screen but then wouldn't do anything else. I've tried to hold down the menu and middle button while moving the hold switch, but it didn't work. Please help!

I fixed it! I had to switch the hold button from on to off to on again and then held the menu and middle button down at the same time. It works just fine now!

  • My iPod 4 brand new charger won't show the charging sign and won't connect to a computer. I have went to the Apple Store and bought the charger but it still won't work. What do I do?

I recently got a brand new charger from my local Apple Store. When I got home and plugged it into my charger on my computer nothing happened. It chargesbut it doesn't show the charging sign or make the sound that says its charging. It takes my iPod touch at least 4-5 hours to fully charge. I would just like some tips on what to do. I have tried resetting my iPod and I've tried just getting a new charger, but nothing works. If anyone knows anything that might help I will very much appreciate it. Thank you

  • What do I do if my iPhone is in a reboot cycle and won't connect to any computer in DFU mode?

My iPhone won't turn on and it also won't connect to iTunes in recovery/DFU mode... It is jailbroken and I don't know what to do!

  • Three iPods... all dead and won't charge

I need some serious help. My 30Gb iPod, 2 weeks old, won't charge. My daughter's 2 month old 2nd gen Nano won't charge. My son's 11 month old 1st gen Nano won't charge. I have become quite proficient in managing the iPods. I have had to do a few resets on my 30Gb, but that's it. However, beginning yesterday, none of them will charge.
I have 2 AC chargers (Apple, of course) and 3 different USB cords. I have 2 Dell Dimension desktops, both relatively new and up to date on all Windows updates. The computers would recognize my son's iPod yesterday (but not my 30Gb or my daughter's Nano), but it wouldn't recharge via the USB cables.
I alternated all 3 USB cables on each computer, as well as the AC chargers. I tried 5 different AC outlets, and tested the AC outlets by charging my cell phones on them. I also tested the USB connections on my desktops by charging a digital camera.. no problems with the camera.
My son's 1st Gen is the only one that shows any signs of life. It will infrequently flicker and say something like, "Please wait, low battery". Yesterday, it would say it was charging, but it never charged up and it eventually ground itself down into this sad state.
I have no clue as to what happened with mine. It was well protected in my purse, about half the battery charge left, when I last used it. I pulled it out yesterday to update via iTunes, and it was so dead the computer wouldn't recognize it.
Daughter was listening to hers yesterday, and the battery discharged. It's been dead ever since.
I have all the latest Windows updates, reinstalled iTunes, and tried every reset option known to man. I don't know what else to do at this point, and I REALLY hate to package up all three of them and send them to Apple.
    Any suggestions? Help!!!!!

I had the same problem with my old original iPad 1.  I read somewhere (maybe even in this forum) to try a 12-watt charger.  I bought the Apple 12-Watt power adapter on Amazon for 19.95 (also available at Apple stores for the same price) and plugged that iPad in today and it IS charging and everything on it is accessible!!  I am amazed and thrilled!  I wasn't optimistic with this fix, but it sure worked!  You might want to try it, too.  BTW...everything is still there..no restore needed.

  • Ipod's battery is low and won't be recognized by the computer to charge.

    Hola,
So, I fell asleep the other night and forgot to turn my Ipod Nano Video off.
When I saw it in the morning it said, "Low Battery" at the top of the screen, had the icon of a battery and a triangle, and below that it says, "Connect to Power".
I plugged up my USB to my computer and Ipod, and nothing happened.
It doesn't get recognized by my computer or Itunes.
I read some of the Support Articles, but what do I do if the Ipod has been hooked up for a couple hours now to my computer and it still tells me I need to connect it to a power source?
Please tell me if you can solve the Problem! Thanks. :]
(Everything was working fine until it ran low on batteries. So USB cord should be working)

  • HT4528 iPhone 4S battery at 30% when recharge started last night - this morning battery is dead, and won't recharge from any USB or A/C Wall adapters

Are there local alternatives to mailing in iPhone 4S for battery replacement?  It's aggravating that this problem developed without warning, just outside the warranty window (I should expect that problems will occur immediately after my one-year warranty expires.  I'm wondering about third-party support and battery replacement...)

Connect the PlayBook to the charger that came with the unit. Since the batteries are totally dead, they will come back to life. Connect them and leave them for a few days. Afterwards hold down the power button only until the red light flashes and allow it to reboot. Try not to let the battery go below 10% in the future.

  • Battery is dead and won't recharge--the phone is 14 days old

My I-phone 5 is not recharging. It was 3/4 full of battery life last night, I turned all the applications I had used (only 3). The second day  I had the phone, I thought it felt hot and did call Apple and got a case number. It is now 14 days old. I gave up my house phone but this is making wonder if that was wise as now I have no phone to use...any ideas?

Bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

  • IPod erased music by itself and won't connect to PC.

I believe it's a fourth generation iPod photo, and it's been in and out of the shop for a couple of years, making that clicking sound, freezing randomly mid-song, things like that. It always comes back negative that anything's wrong it, though clearly something is. My warranty at the store I bought it from ran out, and now I am stuck. It froze again, and I usually reset it. Now it doesn't show my music, it only shows the language setup. I tried connecting it to my computer the other day to reformat it, but iTunes said it was "corrupt" and couldn't find the file to install. I got the newest iTunes, I restarted my computer, I checked everything for viruses... still no luck. It stopped being recognized by my computer altogether. I looked all over the forums for any hint or help, but all of it required a software reformat, but my computer won't even converse with the iPod anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't exactly afford a new iPod soon! Thanks in advance!

  • Ipod causes programs to slow and won't connect

When i plug my ipod into my computer the screen says do not disconnect and then on my itunes i will be listening to a song and it will continue to play but the bar that tells the time will stay frozen. It used to do that and then it won't unfreeze and send the songs to the iPod. Now, it just stays frozen and nothing happens. My ipod charges up but the computer seems to realize it is attached or something. I had a previous 20 gb with the same problem but that was cause the hard drive was old. This one is only 3 months old and now the same things are happening and it is making me depressed. I've tried putting it into disk mode, nothing happens. I've tried restoring the ipod but when i plug it in to restore everything just freezes and nothing happens until i unplug it. I dropped it a little while back and the cover on it shifted, and after that it stopped working. I don't know what to do, should i pop the cover and look inside to see if it is damaged or if some parts aren't touching or something? Please help me, i'm gonna freak if i can't get this stupid thing to work.

I fixed it! I had to switch the hold button from on to off to on again and then held the menu and middle button down at the same time. It works just fine now!

My son's newly purchased iPod Touch 4th Gen was given a lock code by him.  He messed around with it in his sleep and locked it so that it needs reconnected to iTunes.  However, when I try to connect to iTunes, it says that the iPod lock is keeping it from connecting to iTunes.  Help?
