When I come from outside and press the home button to turn my iPod on, there is white, light blue and red lines but it is transparent enough that I can see my background, time, etc. It hasn't been water damaged, so that can't be the problem. please help me i have tried everything , like renewing lease , reseting network , etc etc , my other i pad which is on ios 5 works well , so does my iphone which is on ios4 , no matter what i do after a minute or 2 , it stops working , it automatically doesnt connect to wifi unlike my other devices, and i do it manually it works for a min and stop , device still shows connection to wifi
O and yes ! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Did you check the USB cable or try another one?
Did you check the docking port for any kind of debris or lint?
Did you already try to reset your device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again? -
What does it mean when you try to call from your ipod touch and you get a response that says, "Still connecting to voice network...try later?" I have tried updating and still nothing happens. I am using the text free app and my daughters are able to call from theirs...help

How do I tell itunes on a Windows XP PC to start downloading new songs to my external drive ? The whole library has already been moved. I am just one final step away. Everything I`m downloading still lands on C: Relaunching itunes while pressing "shift" and then getting prompted to choose library might work for a Mac, it doesn't for Windows.
In iTunes click on 'Edit', then 'Preferances', Click on the 'Advanced' button, change the entry in the 'iTunes media folder location' to point to your external drive.
