My Ipod screen turned white. The device still responds though

I didn't use my Ipod for aproximatly 2 moths. When I tryed to use it again, there was only a white screen. The weird part is that it still responds. I tryed rebooting, waiting for it to run out of battery and fully recharged it, reseting, everything. But nothing solved. It seems to be a hardware problem, but I don't think that is it because it didn't move an inch and was kept relatively cool (certainly under 30ºC). What should I do?

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My iPod screen turned white and won't respond to anything I do.?

I set it on the couch and picked it up and the screen turned white. I tried to reset it (holding the home and on/off button for 15 seconds) and that did nothing. So then I charged it for an hour and reset it again and that did nothing. What do I do? By the way I have  the 4th Generation 32GB iPod Touch. I don't know my IOS though, I know I updated it a couple months ago to and IOS 6 it had other numbers too but I forgot.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

After I tried to update my iPod 4 to iOS 5, my screen turned to the USB cord pointing to the iTunes symbol. When I try to restore it, it says that the 3014 error has occured. I went to check for support on iTunes and I did download the latest version of iTunes (11.1.1). I tried to restore it again and the same error occured. I dont understand half of the instructions for the resolution of the 3014 error code so I did the instructions that I understood and nothing has changed. Please tell me how I can fix it.

Just what do you not understand?
    Did you try:
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • My ipod screen is white, and will not respond to any actions

My ipod touch screen is white, and will not respond to the home button or the sleep/wake button. The battery never drains all the way, and syncing on itunes doesn't help. I would prefer not to restore it, because i have a lot of information on it. PLEASE HELP!!

The battery has to drain eventually. Be patient. Letting it drain and charging it back up after it goes black should fix this.

  • My 4th gen. IPod screen turned blue and won't connect to iTunes.

I was playing on some apps and while doing so my ipod screen turned white and then turned completely blue. I tried connecting it to iTunes and trying to restore it but it didn't work! My ipod wasn't connecting to iTunes! I have tried some different ways like trying to shut it off completely but it's not really showing anything. Does anyone have any suggestion to fix it or should I just try to get a new ipod?
