My ipod Songs are stuck on repeat.

Hi there
everytime i listen to a song and its over, it starts again likes its on repeat. It will not change to the next song unless i press the forward button to do it myself. any suggestions on where to turn off repeat???

Select a song to play.
Touch the top of the player to see the song length (just below song title)
You'll see a little race track on the far left.
Some how it got set to repeat there is a little "1" there.
Touch it. It toggle repeat. It goes away...
That did it for me.
The instructions in the previous post got me to this. Thought I'd post just to make it easier than finding it in the .pdf file.
Enjoy!

Help. My ipod nano is stuck on repeat. It repeats the same song over and over and wont play songs on the same album consecutively. How do I fix this

    Hey cemccarty,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The option to turn off repeat will depend on your iPod nano model. Here is the information for the latest model, the iPod nano (7th generation):

  • My iPod songs are automatically wiped out again!! GRRR..

My iPod songs are gone. How can I have have them back without having to upload songs again?
This is the second time it happened. My iPod still had 60.9 MB space in it before my songs disappeared.
When I plugged my iPod into the PC today, it was charging. Then a few minutes later, the iPod (still plugged into the PC) started beeping. At first I don't know where the beep was coming from. When I finally realized it came from my iPod, it was too late to check what message it says on the screen. And when I open the iTunes, it prompts me to fill up the iPod Set-Up Assistant (which means that I have to start all over again transferring songs to my iPod? No way.). I can't find the songs in my iPod anymore. All of them have been wiped out now.
The weird thing is, even with all the songs wiped out, iTunes still says that I only have 60.9 MB of memory in my iPod. It seems that the songs are still there but won't just show up. Because they still occupy the memory of my iPod. My Notes are still in the device, I can also access the files stored in the External Memory.
The first time it happened, I did a Restore and had to download the songs from the Internet again. Now that I don't have the music files in my PC anymore, I don't want to do a Restore because I don't want to download songs again.
    Please help me fix this.

1.If you are using some kind of file sharing program to put songs on your ipod, this might be the problem.I had a similar situation. If you delete some songs from your file-sharing program itunes wont be able to find the songs and wont play song(just on itunes),ir that the host of the song might've deleted the song himself from other to share.
2.Make sure your itunes is up-to date,or you ipod is having hardware issues(this might be the cause if you dont use a file-sharing program). You need to put you ipod on disk mode. For more info. go on support.
3.This step can maybe work, but i know it wont.just blow the usb cord just to make sure it is not dusty.
4.This might also be why your songs get wiped out.You probably need a new usb cord, but first try every way you can to fix this issue before buying a new usb cord.also depends how old your usb cord is.

  • Some ipod songs are not displayed in itunes

I discovered several duplicated songs on my ipod touch, so I connected to itunes (PC), but the duplicated songs were only listed once when viewing the ipod music in itunes. While in itunes, viewing my ipod music, I erased all the music on my ipod and itunes then displayed no listing of any song on my ipod. When I check directly on my ipod, there are still 36 songs on the ipod. These are the ones that are dupilicated when I sync the ipod to itunes. How can I get rid of this duplication, or, How can I completely erase all songs from my ipod?

did you solve the problem? I have the same issue.

  • Re-downloading not the answer. Songs are stuck in Purchases.

I've subscribed to and used iTunes Match since it was first offered. I have also had a consistent problem with it from that day. On my main computer, any song purchases, songs added to the Library, or songs imported from CDs appear in the Purchased source list. And there they stay. No amount of time makes them appear in the Music source. The songs are physically in the Library, they're in their proper folders; they will just not move into the Music source. I can't drag them from Purchases to Music. I can't drag them to connected devices. I can play them. I can edit thier tags, if necessary. They're just stuck. This also happens with iTunes-compatible formats of home-movies and videos, though I don't know where the heck they go -- they just don't appear in the Movies source when imported into iTunes.
Quitting iTunes Match solves the problem immediately. Songs instantaneously move into Music, and Movies appear in Movies. Once they've moved, re-adding the computer to iTunes Match causes those same items to be synchronized to all the other devices that are linked to that account.
I should note that purchases made on satellite devices get downloaded and added to the Music source almost immediately on launching iTunes on the main box.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, and are there any helpful tips available for investigating this. I have disabled or uninstalled any "social" hooks into iTunes, like Scrobbling from Last.FM, etc.
    Thanks.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here: Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership, or that sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library and that deleting one and recycling the file will break the other.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created.  If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.
See also Make a split library portable for some thoughts on best practice when it comes to organizing the library and media files.

    Hi glenfromvic,
It sounds like your iPod Nano may be set to Same Song Repeat. You can find the various repeat settings and corrosponding icons on page 21 of the following document:

  • Helppppp idk how but a few of my songs are stuck on replay!!!!

Helppppp!!! theres a downward arrow next to a few of my song titles(only the titles) and only those songs play on repeat like some sort of shortcut playlist in my full library. idk how it happened and idk how to get rid of it!!! please help meee!!!!

  • Some iPod songs are scratching/skipping/call it what you want...

    Hey,
After returning a faulty iPod in for this "new" 60GB iPod I had some trouble. When I uploaded the songs, some of them would make a scratching noise like a bad cd in an old cd player. I've tried to restore my ipod twice, and even tried uploading the songs on an older software version of itunes - yet still I have some songs doing this. It's a random selection of songs that appears to be happening to. I hope someone can assist me!

    Marion,
You can do that in your LOV code. Add a filter based on the PK you want , and yes you can use bind variables in the LOV source code.
    something like :
    Select x display , y return
    from table_z
    where col_a = :P1_someitem;Hope this helps,
    Sam

  • IPhone 4 iOS 7 songs stuck in repeat - can't find settings to change?

Ever since I made the software upgrade to iOS 7, the music format is different.  All songs are stuck in repeat.  Is there a tutorial around to help me navigate the music in this format?  I really want to fix this.  Most of my "songs" are audiobooks.  It gets tiresome reading the same passage over and over!  Thank you!

Settings>iTunes/app Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now, sign back in with your new ID.

  • TS3694 MY IPOD touch 6th gen is stuck in repeat. I have selected shuffle. how do I get it out of repeat?

My iPod touch is stuck in "repeat mode". It plays the same song each time. I have selected shuffel. How do I get it out of repeat?

    Ah, found it!
if you are listening to a song, tapping once on the album cover in "Now Playing"  will show you the lyrics (if there are any in the song's info) and the repeat and shuffle options. The repeat option is to the left of the slider. It's pretty small. But you can tap on that to turn on playlist repeat or single-song repeat.

  • Ipod songs not recognized

I plugged my ipod into a friends itunes to get a cd she had and after i ejected and turned my ipod back on, my ipod library had all of her music and none of mine. None of her music played (i put on shuffle songs and the song names just flashed by because none were valid) and the only tracks to work on my ipod were the ones from the CD i had meant to download to my ipod. Her itunes was not on automatic update (she had manually manage music selected). I reset my ipod and later plugged my ipod into my own computer where my ipod still showed up as my friends ipod with all of her library, except once again none of the songs worked (all had the little exclamation points next to them). I opened my Ipod control folder while it was plugged into my itunes and saw that my original library was in the folder I was able to play some of the songs from the ipod control folder. How do I correct this problem (without restoring the ipod and erasing whatever music i have on the ipod)? Also only about 25% of the 4000+ ipod songs are stored on my harddrive itunes folder which is working fine.

It would appear that the iPod hard drive or iPod software has become corrupt. This doesn't mean that the songs are not on your iPod, hence the fact that the iPod reports used space and iTunes may show them. I've never seen a plausible explanation for why it does this.
You should restore the iPod and then reload the songs from iTunes.

  • IPod within iPhone is stuck in repeat song mode

The iPod in in iPhone 3G seems to be stuck in repeat song mode. Whether I use shuffle or linear doesn't matter. I've tried rebooting to no avail. I guess I'm going to have to reset the software when I get home if I can't fix this at work.
    Phil

If you are looking at the iphone screen when a song is playing, and you touch the screen once, in the upper left corner is an icon that looks like a circle with two arrows in it. Touch that icon to turn repeat off. That should fix your problem.
