My ipod stuffed up during an update and no longer works! Help!
Ok, i was doing the latest update for my ipod touch. it was plugged into the PC and midway through the update i accidently un plugged it. Now it doesnt register on my PC and I cant do anything on the ipod either, it is just stuck on this screen with the apple logo and a little bar underneath it. its been like this for an hour and i cant do anything! please help me out
Place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore it from backup via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

Cisco Router tried to take a firmware update and no longer works
Ok so internet was working fine until Cisco Connect told me to take an update. My connection is wired and there were no disruptions during the download. Yet the download still failed and now my power light blinks continuously and there is no internet access. I tried instructions on "How to unbrick your Cisco Router", even got them to work, it took the firmware update from the cmd line. Still doesnt work though. What's wrong with this thing and how do i fix it?

Go to Solution.I ended up downloading a firmware utility program and was able to get it to reload. The power light became solid somewhere between 2-5 mins, however still didnt connect to the internet. Found that all this factory resetting will change your Internet access name & password, with no way to find out the new one. You have to remove the Cisco Connect program from your computer and reload it from the original disk. Only then will you be up and running again. While I appreciate the response Helm, I was way beyond a 30 second reset button solution when I posted this lol.

My girlfriend believes she's wiped out the OS on her iPod 4th generation she said she did this by accidentally rebooting her iPod during an update, and now her iPod just shows the apple logo then fades to white. My question is, can this be fixed? Or is a new iPod necessary??
If you live near an Apple store take it in for diagnosis. Don't forget to make an appointment online first. If you don't live near a store, you may get help by searching "youtube" for DFU Restore ipod. This is not difficult to do but it requires proper timing to get the device into DFU mode.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

2 Apple TVs. The first won't reboot, it stalled during an update and now shows a picture of a UBS plug. Ive tried to plug into my computer, nothing happens. At a standtill.
The second Apple TV works but only if I send something via Airplay. The remote no longer has any affect. The light on the front of the Apple TV blinks when I push a buttom on the remote but nothing happens.

now, press the power button on the ipad until it turns off.
Then, press and hold the home button on the ipad at the same you plug the usb cord into the ipad. DON'T LET GO OF THE HOME BUTTON.
Keep holding the home button until you see the recovery mode message pop on the itunes window.
When that happens, you should now be able to restore. -

When I connect to iTunes and the above message appears, I can see behind the message that it says "iPad Recovery Mode" but for the serial number it has n/a it says that I am up to date on software on iPad, but when I click ok on the "iTunes has detected..." the opportunity to click on "restore iPad" disappears! That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot.
