My ipod touch 3rd gen is stuck on the apple screen logo
my ipod 3rd gen is stuck on the apple screen logo
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ok, so i know this is like other discussions but my Ipod Touch shows the Apple logo for 30 Secs, then it disappears and nothing shows, just a blank screen. Ive done a couple restores and it comes up with the same results.
Does anyone know how to permanently solve this problem. If you have an Apple Store, near you, make an appointment to take it to them. If it's not a hardware failure, they may be able to help.

My iPod Touch 3rd Gen is stuck on the Apple Logo screen when starting up.
I've spent hours on this and it's driving me crazy. I've repeatedly tried going into recovery mode, DFU mode, and restoring (even using custom firmware) but it just won't work. Is there anything at all I can do to fix this?

My iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is stuck on the Apple start up screen.
My iPod Touch (2nd Gen) is stuck on the Apple start up screen. I have restored it three times so far, but every time it turns off the problem returns. Since restoring yesterday, the battery life has been dramatically shortened as well. I have no idea what to do, as my iPod is out of warranty and this problem started for no reason what so ever. I also have no local access to Apple support. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've tried this. Though it brings temporary success, in the fact that the iPod functions until it is turned off again. Then the problem seems to return. I thought it might be a problem with the backup file, but I have since restored it completely (to have nothing but the basics on) and the problem is still there.
Thank you for the responses so far though. Hopefully, they can help others with a similar problem.

my ipod touch ( 2 gen ) isnt even updating from version 4.2.1 like its says its up tp date
I believe mine is also 4.2.1. I made an error when selecting the OS at the bottom of my posts and have no idea how I change it.
*EDIT* - I have now managed to change my iOS, not that it makes much difference. I've heard people have been having trouble with iOS 4 on the 2nd Gen iPod Touch?

Says it all in the title. My 3rd Gen is stuck on the apple logo and with no computer or iTunes how am I to fix it? I'm in some money troubles at the moment and I dont have that many resources available to fix my beloved iPod. I have tried resetting but it comes back to the logo and then it dies of battery.
Any suggestions? If you have an Apple Store, near you, make an appointment to take it to them. If it's not a hardware failure, they may be able to help.

My ipod touch is stuck on the 'white screen of death' and every website says to hold down the lock/wake button and the home button to fix it. But my lock button is jammed. How do I fix it?

My iPod touch (4th gen is stuck on the apple logo when you first turn it on?
So, my iPod has been acting weird since I updated to iOS 5.1.1 It gets fully carged and dies in three minutes. Well now it gets stuck on the apple logo at startup. It does the apple logo and shuts off and goes to the apple logo again. It does this repeatedly. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried resetting it multiple times, delete all the apps, all the music.
Hey Edgar, how exactly did you do the updates? Are you running iTunes 11.2.2? And you iPod 5 is still running iOS 6.1.2 as your tag shows? or are you running iOS 7.1.1? More info would be helpful. As Deggie asked, what was the error message, the more detailed the better. One more thing-- is this a Mac machine or a PC? Cheers.

1. Plug your iPod into your computer.
2. Perform a hard reset by holding both the Home button and the Power/Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes black and shows the Apple logo. Release the buttons.
3. Wait for 15 minutes. It could take less time. Your iPod will make a sound and will show the battery logo. -
My iPod touch 3rd gen is stuck on apple logo
My iPod touch 3rd gen is stuck on the white apple logo. It will not manually restart/restore if I hold the power and menu button. It does auto restart about every 15 minutes on its own. If I plug it into my computer, both my computer and iTunes will recognize it and lets me edit its contents, fully syncs without a problem, etc. However, if I try to Update/Restore Ipod iTunes will completely freeze until my iPod autorestarts at which point it will become "unfrozen" and say there was an error communicating with my iPod. I have tried using 2 different computers with the latest version of iTunes. PLEASE HELP!
