My iPod Touch 4g will not charge or sync
I have plugged my iPod into 2 different computers (one mac, one PC) using 2 different Apple iPod cords and I cannot get the iPod to charge. The computer does not recognize the iPod as being plugged in, so I cannot sync either. Basically nothing happens, so I'm worried something is wrong with the dock connector on the iPod! Any suggestions?
- First see if a reset will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next see if recovery mode will allow a restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
- Last try DFU mode

- After that, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source

Truck stereo will play iPod touch be will not charge it's battery
My truck stereo will play the gen. 4 touch 32 GB, but will not charge it's battery. It did play and charge the battery for the nano 8GB with no problems for several years previously before switching it out with the iPod touch last week. What gives?
Sometimes this works
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

Brand New iPod Touch 4G will not charge, or turn on
Hello.
I have a brand new iPod Touch 4G, and when I plug it into my computer, nothing happens. My computer for some reason is not reading this iPod Touch;
I have no other way to charge it.
No damage has been done to the product from my observation.
I have tried to restore it, reset it, and other things like that, but iTunes still isn't picking it up, as well as my computer..
I am on a Windows 7 Starter Notebook, with 3 USB ports (that probably are not high-powered), and for some reason it just doesn't want to charge.
I'm going to take it to school with me later to see if it will charge, but in the mean time, do you guys have anything that could possibly get my computer to start reading this iDevice?
thanks,
MattI have tried a different machine, and it is not my computer.
I have plugged a different iPod into this charger and it charges just fine.
So, it's the iPod its self.
I read an article somewhere and it said that
If your iPod is formatted to work with Macintosh, windows will not read it.
So, I'm thinking my iPod is formatted for Macintosh, (I cannot format it for windows), because it is completely dead, and it won't turn on.
So, should I try a wall charger as my last resort to try and get it to turn on?!
Thanks,
Matt -
My iPod touch 3g will not charge nor will it connect to the computer.
It won't charge at all. I have no idea how it's still on but for now it is even though it's been saying the battery is less the 20%. It's not the usb adapter/cable, I've tried many. My laptop nor desktop will even acknowledge it at all. I've done resets numerous times and still nothing. I don't know if this means the battery needs to be replaced or not because like I said the iPod is still on after days of not being able to charge.Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I forgot to mention the iPod will play on my dock but not charge. I took it in today and it's no longer under warranty so they only offered to take it and give me 10% off a new one.
Thanks anyway! -
I have done everything suggested by Apple. It does not show up in iTunes. It is a model A1288. It was working fine until the battery ran down. I hate to throw things away.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod touch 4g will not charge no matter what i plug it in to
and every thing i try will charge every other ipod i have and the troubleshooting doesn't have a fix for it, any suggestions?
Take a moment to reset your iPod....hold down the sleep and home key, past the power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try the trouble shooting again.
If you've replicated the issue with multiple chargers, cords and outlets (enough to rule out any single one of those devices being the source) then I'd make an appointment at your local apple store because it's possible that the charging port on your iPod has gone bad or maybe your battery. Both issues are not user servicible. -

Need some hardware information about PCI7030/6040E
Hi, I'm working with LabViewRT and the PCI7030/6040E DAQ board. Everything works very well now, but I need some hardware information about this board for my dissertation. For example what kind of analog/digital converter does the bord use and so on.
