My iPod touch 4gen keeps crashing and lagging?? Help??

I have recently updated my iPod touch 4th generation to the new iOS 6.1.2, which I now seriouslyregret doing after reading a lot of the bad reviews on it for iPod 4g users. Whenever I open an app, after about a minute or a few seconds it crashes, especially Facebook and Tumblr, Safari and Google. My iPod is incredibly slow, especially when trying to type. My power button/lock button is broken, and I am currently using the Assistive Touch. I don't think there is a way of turning it off now without leaving my iPod useless. I've had my iPod for about two years now, and up until now I've had no crashing/lagging problems. Even the App Store, iTunes, Photos, and General crashes, and I am becoming very ****** off. I don't have the money to get it fixed and I don't know how to restore it, nor Jailbreak it, even though I don't think you're supposed to. I don't want my iPod to become useless because I use it all the time and I don't have the money to replace it. If anyone can help, please do! I seriously don't want to have to just throw it away :/ Also, if I can downgrade it to iOS 5.1.1, will that help matters any? Thanks.

holy crap same here when i ttry to edit a photo on camera roll specifically a screenshot, the photo always crashes and then the screen turns white and my ipod reboots. mines is not jailbroken and this only happens with screenshots when edited and cropped. really hope apple fixes this in ios 5.2 because this is really frusturating. and i have a question... is this bug dangerous for you ipod or can it work fine even if that glitch is there???

I have a iPod gen4 32gb bought less than 6 months ago still under warrenty but it crashes so much and is so laggy I tried rebooting it and restoring it to s of times but it won't work! It's just as laggy as ever I am so angered. My other Frieda have no problem but it's just me I swear I have a defective iPod touch but please give me some advice

Try resetting your iPod
Hold the home button and the sleep/lock buton at the same time until the Apple logo appears

Why does my Ipod touch 4 generation keeps going back to home page when browsing in the apps store.
I called apple 5 times today and asked me to restore it 3x the problem still exists. This problem starts to occur yesterday after upgrading to IOS6.
Apple customer service is not good enough as they cannot fixed the problem or tell me that I can change the unit as I just bought this 2 months ago.

Because there is a bug in iOS 6 that effects the 4G iPod touch.

HT1363 My ipod touch 32GB keeps clicking and won't turn on or charge even though power is getting to it. The screen shows a sad face ipod.

We have an ipod classic with wheel. It keeps saying low battery even though I have had it charging for ages. It also makes this clicking sound but refuses to do anything else. I can't get any screen to show except a sad face ipod and the "low battery" screen. I have tried to do the restart option but it makes no difference. Help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If defective, within warranty and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost

Ipod touch apps keep crashing

All of my apps crash. I have about 6 pages of apps and every single one. Crashes. Please help. This is driving me nuts. And also my youtube app gose to a black screen but shows the status bar at the top. Please help. I am going on a trip and i need something to do since my macbook pro just died.

My iPod touch 4g keeps crashing in applications

My iPod touch 4g has iOS 6.0.1 (latest) and I have only recently started having problems. During an application, it will randomly freeze and sometimes go to the image you see when you first turn it on, but it never shuts down. After that, it runs very slow for several minutes before going to the last image I saw in the application, even though its not even running in background. I never, ever have more than one to three applications running in background. This mostly happens in 3D games, but sometimes in 2D ones and once in Safari. Is this normal? Can I fix it? I also have no jailbreak. Will my warranty cover this? Also, these problems only started randomly happening about a week ago. Please help!

my ipod was just bought on march 12th 2013 so i didnt expect problems with it, but when i try using an app with camera features or even the camera the ipod will crash and close if i try taking the picture. i was told to uninstall the apps and they will work fine but that didnt happen. i would take it in to get checked out but sometimes the camera and apps will work perfectly fine so i dont wanna go and look like the ocd fool that i am

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My ipod touch 4g keeps crashing

It keeps happening once a week, usually when I press the on/off button but at this point the 'slide to power off' option does not appear and the ipod brings up the apple symbol and the circle thing - ie indicating its doing something. At which point it does not respond to anything unless it is rest (by holding the on/off and menu buttons for 10seconds) or unless I leave it until the battery dies and then recharge it... what shall I do?

- First try restring the iPOd from backup
- If problem persists restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod since there may be corruption that is now in th backup that is causing the problem.
- If it still happens you likely have a hardware prolbem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

After charging the iPod for half an hour, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:
