My iPod is disabled
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. You have no iCloud since that requies iOS 5 If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes. If yo do not have a backup yo can't restoe from backup
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -

See
iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows
- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
paying special attention to item #5
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

please help me my ipod touch 4th generation is disabled because of my brother trying to guess my password how do i restore it with out loosing all of my stuff
You need to connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. You may need to place it in recovery mode. For that see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
You can restore from backup and get you app data back till the time the backup was made. That is the way it works. It is a security feature. -

My iPod touch 4th generating has overheated and died Anyone any ideas?
Have you tried a soft-reset to see if it that fixes it ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. If not then try restoring to your last backup (after, if you can, copying purchases over to your computer's iTuNes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, and copying any important documents and/or photos off it)
If that doesn't fix it then you might be better off asking in the Using iPod forum on here, this forum is for questions about the iTunes store. -
I have tried to download multiple apps but a message keeps popping up to say that it requires iOS 7.0. I have an Ipod touch (4th Generation) by the way, and I have gone to the software update to find that it says 'iOS 6.1.6, your software is up to date'. I have no idea what to do. Thanks
I tried that but I realized that the apps weren't installed yet, so I installed the apps but the same message keeps popping up, saying that it need an iOS 7.0 to be able to install. What's really is confusing is that my friend also has and Ipod Touch (4th Generation) and that problem never occurred to her, and we had the same iOS. The apps that I a trying to install are Phonto and Gmail, and on their description boxes it states that they are both compatible with iOS 7.0 and later. It has me really confused and I'm sorry that you have to put up with me. I really appreciate your help! Thanks!

I dropped my ipod 4th generation in water, and I turned it on without knowing that it might never turn on again. I don't know what to do, pleae help me!!!
You could well be looking at a new iPod, but this will only cost you a couple of bucks, and a little time. Worth trying, but it maybe to late, (I just don't want to give you any false hope.) Turn your iPod off and leave it off, do not attempt to charge it or use until you dry your iPod out. Put it in a sealed bag of rice for at least 7 to 10 days. change the rice daily. If (and it's a "BIG" if) your lucky after drying the iPod it will start up when you turn on the power. You may need to charge it for at least 30 minutes to get some signs of life. If it does not turn on after charging attempt a reset, press and hold both the power and home buttons together for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons. If your iPod turns on, check that all is working. If you get it to work the first thing you should be is back up everything on your iPod to your computer, no guarantee it will continue to work. Water does bad things to electronic toys. If it doesn't work your only out a couple of bucks, then it's time for new toys. You may want to look at replacing with a refurbished iPod, about 1/2 of new. Good luck.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
