My iPod Touch 4th generation is going to the Apple logo when I press iMessage. What's going on?
The title already says it.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My ipod touch 4th generation will not leave the apple logo sign
my ipod touch 4th generation will not leave the apple logo sign what do i do to turn it on and work ? please help
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod touch (4th gen is stuck on the apple logo when you first turn it on?
So, my iPod has been acting weird since I updated to iOS 5.1.1 It gets fully carged and dies in three minutes. Well now it gets stuck on the apple logo at startup. It does the apple logo and shuts off and goes to the apple logo again. It does this repeatedly. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried resetting it multiple times, delete all the apps, all the music.
Hey Edgar, how exactly did you do the updates? Are you running iTunes 11.2.2? And you iPod 5 is still running iOS 6.1.2 as your tag shows? or are you running iOS 7.1.1? More info would be helpful. As Deggie asked, what was the error message, the more detailed the better. One more thing-- is this a Mac machine or a PC? Cheers.

My Ipod Touch 4th generation is stuck in the apple logo
Hello,
I have an Ipod Touch (4th gen) but it doesn't get past the apple logo and if it does the screen becomes white but it doesn't do anything else. I tried to restore it through ITunes but that doesn't work either (always get an error). It's been like this for a while since everything I've tried so far doesn't work at all.
Thank you in advance ^^Any error messages or numbers given by iTunes?
If yes, check this article: Resolve iOS update and restore errors
Also try to connect in recovery mode to restore, explained here: If you can't update or restore your iOS device
If this does not work, your device has to be checked by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

1. Plug your iPod into your computer.
2. Perform a hard reset by holding both the Home button and the Power/Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes black and shows the Apple logo. Release the buttons.
3. Wait for 15 minutes. It could take less time. Your iPod will make a sound and will show the battery logo. -

My ipod touch 4th generation isnt charging with my cable.
When i use my dad´s cable, it charges.
But, however, after it´s fully charged (which takes strangely only a minute), i use it for five seconds and then it goes off.
What should i do?- See:
iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
- Try another cable if available
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation was stolen if the thief signed out of my iCloud account on the device will it go away on the web map on my computer and keep me from locking it remotely? I was asking my grandmother who works in apple tech support at at&t but she didnt know. so im hoping somebody will come by and say yes to my question because my iPod touch is still appearing in my iCloud.com account.
Yes. If it was signed out from iCloud, it will disappear from the Devices list in Find my iPhone.

Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore the iPod via iTunes

I just bought an iPod touch 4th generation 8GB for $199.99 but then when the iPod touch 5th generation came out, the 4th generation was still $199.99, but for a whole 16GB. Is there a way I can get some sort of free space?
If "just" is less than 14 days, you can return your iPod to Apple for a full refund.
