My iPod Touch 5 won't respond so im stuck at the lock screen.
I was at church and I play in the worship band. During practice, I would reply to my iMessage between songs. When I got all done I went to the church kitchen and my iPod didn't respond at all and I didn't drop it or anything. About a year ago my Home button decided it didn't want to work anymore. I don't know what to do please help.
This is a blue iPod 5th Gen. 32gb. I have iOS 7.
Since my home button doesn't work, I have the assistant that allows you to use Siri and press the home button and whatnot. And for some reason that assistant works. I have tried holding the home button in the assistant and the sleep/power button for a long time but eventually the assistant just closes.

My iPod touch isn't being recognized by my pc. The lock button on it won't work due to water damage, and a friend of mine fixed the problem by restoring it on his computer. How do I restore it without the lock button?
first try:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
next
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
My iPod Touch 4g keeps rebooting. ( sometimes it freezes on the white screen; sometimes on the Apple symbol) What should I do to make it stop? My iPod's warranty has expired. It happens every 10-15 minutes. Help!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
Got a black screen on the iPod Touch 4th Generation. Tried restoring it and holding the lock and hold buttons but this didnt work. Do i need a brand new screen?
If you successfully restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. Could be the screen or something else.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

Ipod Touch 4g won't respond, I have tried everything.
Hello,
I have a Ipod Touch 4g that I have had for about 8 months. One day it just turned off randomly. I didn't think much of after I reset it. Today it wouldn't stay on for more than 5 minutes because it was shutting down. I let it sit for a few hours, came back and reset it again since it had shut down. It started to boot normally until it switched to white-on-black format; it gave me a "Acitvation Required" messege in the middle of the lock screen. It also told me that voice over was on and told me how to turn it off, which I have never seen up to now on my ipod. After several resets it still did the same thing. I then tried to restore it, and now it stays on the black screen and won't reset, charge, or be recognized on any of my computers or itunes. I had it charged most of the way when all of this happened. Can anybody give me any advise as to how to get my ipod back up and running? Thank you for your time. These links may help

I have an iPod Touch and an iPad4. iTunes recognises both items and lets me work with the iPod Touch but won't work with the iPad. In fact iTunes does not respond to clicking on anything in the iPad window even though it knows that it's connected. Any ideas?

I just bought a new iPod and I have it set up the same as my old iPod but I can't get notifications on the lock screen like I did on my old iPod. What can I do to fix this?
Hi.
What is the exact notification you are waiting? This could be possible that the device has already been opened once. Don't you think? -

1st Generation iPod Touch (8GB) won't respond.
Hi,
I have a 1st Generation iPod Touch (8GB) and it won't respond to anything. I tried restoring and resetting and charging. When I plug the iPod into my Mac (10.2 Macbook Pro) the iTunes (which is very up-to-date) won't even recgonize it. My computer doesn't even recognize it as a storage unit. I tried all of the USB ports and multiple cables but stil, nothing is happening. I can't even get the screen to turn on and display the apple.
What should I do? Is the battery dead or is my iPod completely dead?
Thanks!Did you try Philly_Phans suggestions as well?
