My iPod touch 5th generation (iOS 6) has determiined my location numerous time before, however, now it does not. I am in the same location so thats not the issue. Does anyone know what the problem is and a possible solution?

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod cant see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.

If you do not see the events or clips you were working with previously, first see if you can switch back to the library you were using with this method:
Show or hide the Libraries list
You select libraries and events in the Libraries list.
To show the Libraries list: Click the Show button on the left side of the toolbar.
The default location for iMovie libraries is the Movies folder in your home folder.

the camera on my daughter's iPod Touch, 5th generation, doesn't work anymore. She just got it three weeks ago. Not even sure how to troubleshoot. Help.

IPod touch 5th generation iOS 8 update problem
I have an iPod touch 5th generation with 32GB. This morning I started the ios8 update. Everything was going fine for a while, but now it's like it's stuck. The bar indicating how close it is to being done is almost full, but it's been like that for hours. I can't turn it off or do anything else.
Even if it's because I don't have enough memory, shouldn't I be able to cancel it or something? I didn't have this problem with the last update so I have no idea what is going on or how to fix it.Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have an iphone that is locked to orange and have been waiting over 50 days now for it to be unlocked and keep getting fobbed off with promises to sort it out. I dont know how many calls have been made and am getting really frustrated now. They locked it originally and it is their gift to unlock ....usually in their own time.

Hi, does anyone know if Apple ever sold ipod touch 4G on rectangle clear flat box, instead of round edge clear box?
Not a 4G. Thats something I have never seen before. But then again, the thinner 4G wouldn't be able to sit still in the case of a bulky 2nd or 3rd gen. So if it isn't sliding and its in original packaging, I would trust it. No one would go through the trouble to spend money to make a mold to stick a knockoff in a case. I say its fine. How is it running?

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup

Then restore via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

The phone has given me a 1015 error - unknown error has occured, during the firmwre comfirmation.
We have tired the tricks with holding the home button down for 10 secs etc, we have tried installing a number of different versions of itunes, but no joy.
We did do a backup of the phone before trying to sync it but can't re-install that either.
I have been told the only way to get the phone functional again is to re-jailbreak it, do a back up of that and try to udpate back to the apple IOS from there but the phone is not responding.
It turns on, and is in emergancy mode only, wehn I put hte sim in it's not recognising it, all it wants is to connect to itunes, which it wont do when you try.
I don't know what to do try next, at a dead end here.
I don't want a jail broken phone, I just want it to function like its meant to but at this stage I will settle for a phone that works at all.
Any suggestions,,,,,,,,, anyone??
Thanks for reading and considering my problem.Have latest version of iTunes installed and running. Also make sure you have internet access working and can access Apple websites. Also, make sure you don't have any entries in your hosts file referring to gs.apple.com....If your not sure about how to do that, go ahead and do the rest first. You can come back to that later.....Plug in phone. Put phone in DFU mode.(google put iphone in DFU mode for instructions) Then restore the phone in iTunes by highliting your device in the left column and click on the Restore button. The latest iOS version is 4.3.3. That's what iTunes will restore it to. When it's done restoring, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from a backup or setup as a new phone. I would use the Setup as a New Phone option. Once it's done, you should have a clean install of the iOS and an operating phone, as long as there are no hardware issues with it.

My Ipod Touch 5th Generation won't connect to my laptop. My phone however will. What can I do?
My Ipod touch and phone will both charge when plugged into the wall. My phone an iphone 4th generation will connect to my laptop. I have uninstalled and installed itunes as well as checking the Apple USB Drive and neither has helped. Not sure if it matters but my computer was recently updated to Windows 8.1. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? Thanks.

If you are not using the same cable as the phone try another cable.
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I have an iPhone 4 not quite 2 years old. 2 nights ago my iPhone was on its charger and it kept vibrating as if it was being disconnected and re-connected from the charger. When I looked at it had an "error" message but now I don't know what that was as it was 3am and I was half asleep. I just diconnected the charger and the battery read fully charged.
The my volume wouldn't go up or down. The box with "ringer" in it came up but no bars at the bottom to show the volume is increasing or decreasing. It would not play music out of the speakers either even though the screen showed it was playing and it would not work in our dock/speaker unless I used bluetooth and even then, if we touched the volume button on the dock it would switch off.
I tried a "hard" reset 3 times and tried switching it off and on 3 times with no success.
I tried 3 different chargers including a car charger, plus the speaker dock with no success.
It is now out of battery and I cannot charge it.
The iPhone also would not back anything up prior to the battery going flat.
I just need to know if it is fixable or do I need to start looking for a new phone?Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

The way to prevent keyloggers is to not allow anybody else admin access to your Mac, since that's about the only way a keylogger could get there.
What Little Snitch will do is prevent a keylogger that is installed on your Mac from communicating to the outside world over your network.
I've been using it since v1.0, I believe and it's very safe as long as you know what you are doing. I would also mention that it's a bit of a PITA to initially set up as it will ask your permission for almost every appication and process that needs to communicate over your network. You will find some processes that you aren't aware of that must be given permission or they won't work. You will probalby need to Google some of them to find out exactly what they are before making a decision. -
