  • Ipod touch Apps keep dropping calls

My Ipod touch texting/calling apps keep dropping. I have 3 apps (Talkatone, textme and text free) and all 3 of them keep dropping calls even tho It has a excellent connection to the wifi. It just started doing this a few weeks ago
    Any help?

Does it happen when connected to another network? Since it happens with more than one app that suggests a network problem, likely on your end.

  • Ipod touch apps crashing w/ ios 6?

all of my ipod touch apps have been crashing on my newly updated ipod touch 4. especially safari, the app store and ibooks. is there a fix out yet? my ipod has also been really slow and laggy...

    Try this.
    1. Plug the iPod into the computer while iTunes is running.
    2. Press and hold down the Power button (one at the top) and the Home button for exactly 10 seconds (you may need a timer!
    3. While STILL HOLDING ONTO the Home button, release the Power button, and hold it for 15-20 seconds until you get a pop up on iTunes saying that your iPhone is in recovery mode.
Keep in mind that your iPod screen should be completly blank, and should not be showing anything. Just restore the phone and you will be good.

Also all of my synced music dissappeared as well. I'm not sure if that is something in common?? I've tried resetting my ipod. I never link it to a computer, and that is why I synced my music from a friend. Please help me!

It say how to use a iTunes version 10.6.3 with OSX 10.5.8 and sync with iOS 5.
OSX 10.6.8 is a paid upgrade for $29 but requires an Intel Mac. That last OSX for a Power PC G4 or G5 is 10.5.8.

  • My sons iPod touch 5 keeps flashing with the apple logo, how do I sort it?

My sons iPod touch 5 keeps flashing the apple logo, he was playing on it and then that happened?

Has the unit EVER been jailbroke?  Has it EVER been dropped?  Did it EVER get excessively wet?  Did you EVER load a pirated developer's version of the IOS?
If "No" to all the above, first try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • Find iPod Touch App - Problem Setting up MobileMe

    Hi,
I'm trying to set up the Find iPod Touch App. Unfortunately, not sure what "generation" this particular one is (is there an easy way to find out?)
I am following the instructions at http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/find-my-ipodtouch-setup/, and have OS v4.2.1 installed.
Following these instructions, I try to set up a MobileMe account, but when entering my apple id and password, receive a message saying:
"Device Not Supported". This iPod Touch is not qualified for free Mobile Me service.
Not sure where to go from here - is there something else I need to upload?
    Thanks.

From the 1st step in the above link:
Make sure your iPod touch is running iOS 4.2 or later. If you’re creating a free account for the first time, you need a fourth-generation iPod touch.
It sounds like you don't have a 4G iPod Touch.  Use this article to help you determine what generation iPod Touch you have.

    Hi
Try to reset your iPod and then deauthorize and reauthorize your computer, then sync the iPod again.
To reset the iPod touch just hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see an Apple logo appear.
You can deauthorize the computer from the iTunes Store menu.

  • "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" will not sync to iPod after restore

    Hi, new here.
I'm using Windows, and have a need to reformat & reinstall every six months or so (I install & uninstall a lot of software; I'm a tester by profession). Now, I do not restore my iPod touch quite as often as I reformat, but when it can't be helped, like this other day when iTunes suddenly won't recognize my iPod touch when I connect it. The first time it happened, I was able to contact Apple Support by phone and they kindly re-posted the January Software Upgrade to my account by default, and I was able to re-download it (I also sent an email, hence I was re-sent the file a second time after that, which I have also re-downloaded since). I realized I might run into the same problem in the future, (and I've been doing a lot of reading around these forums) so I backed up the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file.
Three months later (i.e., today) my iPod wonked out again, but I can't seem to re-sync the file I backed up to my freshly-restored, now-plain-vanilla, without the January Software Upgrade iPod touch. The steps I followed are as below:
    (1) Copied the backed up file to "C:\Users\RonMarc\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Applications\iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa"
    (2) Re-launched iTunes and made sure I'm logged in to iTunes with the account I used to purchase the upgrade
    (3) Restored the iPod touch (it automatically downloaded 1.1.4 (at the time I purchased the upgrade, it was 1.1.3; I have also tried shift+Restore and browsed to a IPSW file of the 1.1.3 version)
    (4) When prompted if I'd like to set up the iPod as a new iPod or if I wanted to restore a previously backed up copy, I opted to restore. I have also tried re-restoring it and doing it the other way, i.e., "set up as a new iPod"
    (5) Ejected the iPod, reconnected it and Synced. Still, no January Software Upgrade.
I'd like to know if I missed out on any steps. Or if the "back up the IPA file" method works only under the Mac, as in here. The idea of
Thanks in advance. My apologies for the long post as I'd like to provide as much detail. -Ron Marc

Fixed it after some more fiddling - restored iPod from the frist sync a few days back, and then tried again.
