My iPod touch can not back up to I cloud

My iPod touch has frozen and it says can't back up to iCloud

If frozen:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Place the iPod in recoverymode and restore it via iTunes on your comoputer.  For recovery mode see:

You could have easily found this by search this forum since the question gets asked/answered at least a dozen times a day.  I just answered it four times in the last 1/2 hour.

  • My iPod touch can not go to YouTube and safari

My iPod touch can not go to YouTube and safari that I bought from Target at Rosemead on 2009.
What should I do now? How to fix my iPod touch?

If you are saying that you can't connect to the internet then:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My 4th Generation iPod Touch Will Not Back-Up On iTunes

My iPod Touch will not back up. I have the newest version of iTunes and my iPod Touch is running iOS 6 and sometimes it won't sync or even be recongnized as a device. iTunes says my last back up was on August 27th, and I've synced it multiple times since then. It is critical that I find a solution soon, because if the last backup was on the 27th, that means the software backed up is 5.1.1, and I'm selling my current iPod on eBay and it ships next week as I await the new iPod Touch and I need to restore from that backup! I cannot start as a new iPod Touch. Any solutions?

Type " Apple Mobile Device service" into the search bar at the top of this screen next to "Support" and see if the resulting articles help.

  • My credit card has been charged, my iPod touch can not be registered,

today, i spent long time registering my iPod touch. The procedure includes providing a payment method. Assured by the following description that I won't pay any money if I don't purchase anything,I typed in ny credit card information. Several times I entered my card number correctly, there always bounced up a screen saying my number is invalid! At the same time, I have received a message from the bank that a dollar had been charged from my bank account!
How can that happen? I haven't even registered successfully, how can the company charge from my bank account saying my card number invalid at the same moment? I'm enraged...
Does the website sutract money every time you download anything? If i know beforehand that when registering the iPod need exposing my credit card and need paying all the time, i won't buy it at all!

That mini charge of $1 will not get passed the +pending charge+ status, after it is used to check the status of the credit card. I'll bet it will not be on your final statement.
As for the failed verification, it may not be the card number, because the other information is also cross-checked. Make sure you have correctly entered your address and phone number (the ones on record with the card) and the CCV security code.
You can also contact the iTunes Store support team, to communicate with an Apple employee on such matters. The people in the forum are mostly just fellow users. You can do so through their support web page
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/
Click into one of the Customer Service categories, such as +Purchase Questions+. At the bottom of that page, you will see a +Contact Us+ link. Use the linked form to compose and send a message to the iTunes Store support team, if the web page did not answer your questions.

  • My Ipod Touch can not be recognised by itunes

I installed the latest version of itunes, as I connect my Ipod touch I receive a message "An iphone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect iPhone, then try again."
So does anybody know how can I identify my Ipod touch as Ipod touch to itunes?
I tried all the suggestion on support page. Nothing works:( Please I need help!!!!

I've had my iPod Touch for a couple of months now and I have this same problem. If you don't want to hear my rant then just skip this one.
First, the praise. Once you get music on the device it is a *beautiful, very cool* machine. This is the first Apple product I have ever owned. I came to the table with the utmost respect for all the success Apple has had and the clever innovations those folks have brought to the market place.
Alas, I am sorely disappointed in my experience. It's primarily that the ability to connect the iPod to iTunes (on Windows XP Pro) is pure unadulterated crap that works properly about 20% of the time. iTunes works great. The iPod works great with the content that it already has. But the connection between the two has utterly destroyed my respect for Apple's engineering capabilities.
Most of the time the iPod won't connect to iTunes even though I try 4 different USB ports.
It is not uncommon to get error messages from iTunes, when it finally sees that something is connected, about not be able to successfully connect to the iPhone. Um, it's not an iPhone. Maybe that's where the confusion lies?
A good bit of the album artwork on the iPod is scrambled even though it is correct in iTunes.
800 songs takes several hours to sync down to the iPod over USB 2.0 ... if I can ever get it connected.
What an embarrassment for a company that is known the world over for giving outstanding user experience.
My little 512MB Sansa MP3 never gives me a minute of trouble. The one time that it did, Sansa just took my word that it was still under warranty (yeah, they could probably tell from the serial number) and replaced it. No fuss, no muss.
I do hope Apple will get this straightened out. I was not likely to ever buy an Apple product prior to this. This experience with the Touch has just hardened that position.

  • My iPod touch will not back up to iTunes.

I just got an iPhone 4, and I'm trying to get the data from my iPod touch onto it. For some reason, even though I've synced it many times over the year I had it, my iPod never got backed up to iTunes even though I told it to back up to computer. Is there something I'm missing?

    1. Yes, there are no backups there or in the directory that is supposed to store them . Also, iTunes says "Last time backed up: Unknown".
    2. No, I've been using this same user since I got the iPod. I logged in as a different user a few times but didn't open iTunes. The other user also does not have any device backups, nor has it synced with the iPod at all.

  • Suddenly my iPod touch can not open any app.. at all

Hi. All off a sudden, my iPod touch won't open any downloaded apps from iTunes store. It was functioning normally, but without any clear reason (i didn't do anything to my iPod) suddenly no apps will open. When I click an icon, the menu zooms out and the app opens, but only for one second or so. Then suddenly it returns to the menu, and the menu did not animate this time. I tried holding the menu button, not working. Holding menu + power, problem not fixed. Syncing with iTunes, still same problem. I don't want to delete my apps by erasing iPod because there is important data in "WritePad", a sort of notes app. What should I do?

Yes, I reset via the Ipod... then via Itunes, downloaded new Ipod software, deleted apps, then ALL apps, then downloaded the apps again, then dowloaded a different NEW app... Still NOTHING works! Why is this doing this in the FIRST place! I spent $400 for this, and now the apps work, and it's MY fault because I don't stand on one foot, hold the correct finger on my nose, point my left ear in the direction of the North Star and whistle the correct tune? Why doesn't this thing just RUN the APPS? (Sorry, but it's a little frustrating to spend hours poring over solutions to a problem, try them all, then ask if there IS a solution, and be asked if I've tried all the solutions I've already tried!) My LAST problem was not being able to get the email set up, calling up Apple support and listening while the support person did a search in these forums for answer (which I had already done!)
