- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod touch needed to be updated so I did and now it won't turn on all it does is show the itunes icon and says toconnect it to itunes so I did and let it be updated and now it wont turn on and I tried resetting but nothing changed.

Just upgraded my system to snow leopard...now when I open documents from my memory stick, its in 'pages' not word...how do I fix that??
Did you click on the little triangle? Did you select one of the document files before pressing COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window? If the panel is closed it looks like this:
If you then click on that little triangle gadget you get this:
A temporary solution is to CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the document file, navigate to the Open With item, and select from the sub-menu.
The first method makes the association permanent. This method only applies to the currently selected document. -

Take it to somebody to get it fixed. However, it may not be cost effective to get it fixed.

(itunes, facebook app, ect.) it was jailbroken and now it wont turn back on! ive tried the lock key and home button at the same time countless times, but nothing. theres also the dead apple when it powers up. it was there when i got it too. what do i do???????????

Yes there is a rotation lock setting.
First try the switch above the volume rocker. If that doesnt work then double click the home button. It should display a multitasking bar at the bottom of the screen. Slide that to the right and it should display a few settings including screen lock. Make sure that it is unchecked. -
