I imagine that... a limit of sound because ears problems understand that...but in my case i need power i´m not buying a better surround for the gym (the owner must do, but everyone use cd´s and i not see me record cd´s again) ...its the only problem for this iPod to be perfect.... go to itunes preferences, store, uncheck automatic downloads. also when your phone is connected you can click on apps and only check the ones you want on your phone, go down to the bottom right and click apply.

Can't Download Purchase to iPod Touch- Don't Have Permissions?

Hi,
So I just got to London, and I need to download a new Mac application to my iPod Touch. It has been working until now. When I try to download ANY app, I get the message:
"You don't have write access for your iTunes Media folder or a folder within it. Change permissions (in the Finder) and then choose Store > Check for Available Downloads."
I've checked the iTunes Media folder and made sure that my username and everyone both have read and write privileges. What else can be causing this to happen? Thank you.

I still haven't managed to download my photos. :-(
To add to the mystery I dropped the phone and the glass broke so it is not working. However, when I plug it in via USB I can still see the device and all the photos on it. I just can't move them or transfer them.
I can open them one at a time in Preview and save from there but as there are nearly 800 of them, that would take a day to do.
I still can't download iPhoto as apparently my computer is too old. Although it's only about 18 months old.
Anyway, I would really appreciate any further help as I would like to get the photos off and take the phone to be repaired.
I'll be using a digital camera not attached to my phone in future. I can't believe how difficult and frustrating this has been. Most devices you plug in, they appear on your computer and you drag and drop.

IPod touch "done" button have white lines issue

This problem have occured on my iPod Touch 2G MC model running both iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.1.
So basically when playing videos from safari, in a game, the ipod app, or anywhere else with a "done" button on the upper left corner, there are two white lines within the button (from where the curve at the edge starts). Not really an issue, but it looks kind of ugly.
Have this happened to anyone else before? Is there a fix? I restored, set up as new ipod several times and would not work.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

Correct. When you did that, you voided all warranty/support, & forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
There was nothing wrong with the screen I bought,
And, exactly, how do you know that? Since Apple DOES NOT sell iPhone parts, there is no official source for genuine parts. Thus, many on the market are counterfeit & produce nothing but problems.

The only way you can use iCloud to free up space on your device is by subscribing to iTunes Match. If you do, your music library would be available through iCloud without having to store all of it on your phone. (See http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/.)
Music and other purchased media is also availble to redownload from the iTunes store (in many countries), however it's best to keep it in your iTunes library if you're going to delete it from your device because it may no longer be available to redownload if you rely on the iTunes store to "store" your purchased media. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

In order to use Find My iPhone (or iPad, etc), your device has to be connected to iCloud with a valid ID/account, the Find my iPhone service has to be turned on (on the device), in Settings>iCloud. It sounds as though you haven't done these tasks - unfortunately, there's no way to track your lost device.
BTW, you don't "download" icloud, you register it on a device by going to Settings>iCloud and then click the ON switch and entering your ID/password (perhaps this is what you meant by downloading iCloud).
