My iPod Touch Freeze!!!!!

i have my ipod touch 4 32g. Sometimes, i slide to unlock my ipod and show the home screen, then it FREEZE for 5-10 seconds!!!!! i tried to reset and restore it but it doesn't work. When i download an app from the appstore, i lock the screen. After downloading, i slide to unlock my ipod and show the home screen, then it MUST FREEZE!!!  the amount of the apps in my ipod is small, it doesn't happen!!! now, there are about 100 apps in my ipod.please help me!!! sorry for my poor English,

Turn your bluetooth on and won't freeze. I know it sounds dumb, but it keeps the iPod from full sleep mode. Your iPod screen will still turn off.

  • Ipod touch, Freezing while syncing.

everytime i connect my ipod it syncs my music and pictures fine, but when it starts to sync my apps it syncs about 3 apps. Then my ipod freezes while syncing, forcing me to restore my ipod from recovery mode. When i say it freezes, i mean that my ipod has the "Sync In Progress" screen, with the battery in the center, and on the bottom of the screen the "Slide To Cancel Sync" on the slider. normaly the slider is always flashing highlighting a few letters at a time, across the screen, saying "Slide To Cancel" When it freezes the slider stops flashing/scrolling and then a little spinning wheel starts to spin in the center of my ipod, on the battery logo. After about, 30 seconds the wheel stops spinning, my itunes freezes up, and my iPod touch freezes up. as soon as i disconect my frozen ipod, my itunes works again. then my ipod is stuck on the frozen "sync in progress" screen. i then have to do the long recovery/restore. Then i decided change my settings from automatic syncing to selecting what i sync. I synced my music, fine. I synced my Pictures, fine. i then decided to sync one app at a time. I first synced solitaire, fine. Then i synced sextuple, fine. Then i synced Super Monkey Ball, my ipod froze!!! So I thought that mabye thats what was freezing up my ipod. then i had to restore my ipod, again. and start the whole process over again. I synced sextuple, fine. Then i Synced super monkey ball, again, and it synced fine. then i synced solitaire, worked fine. then i synced Cube Runner, My ipod froze again. on a totaly different app. i had to restore from recovery mode again, and i synced my music, pictures, super monkey ball, solitaire, and sextuple. then i decided, i will just keep my ipod away from a computer so it won't happen again. so i have 23 apps, and i only have three on my ipod. i really want to keep trying to fix this, but i don't want to have to do a restore, and then have to resync all of my music/pictures again. I really want to know whats up with my ipod. PLEASE, IF ANYONE CAN HELP, PLEASE DO SO. I WILL BE TOTALY GREATFUL. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I have been having the same problem too. i was sick and tired of it so the i brought it to an apple store and basically just told me stuff i already know, then 2 days later it started happening again. So i went to the apple store yet again, different guy same nonsense, "let me check your battery" "let me see if you memory has problems" "don't have too many applications running at the same time" on and on.. all that happened is that they restored it and said it should work... well clearly i go home to sync it, everything freezes, i go back they give me a new one... yet here i am 3 days later still having the problems even with a new ipod. i reinstalled itunes like 6 times, restored my ipod 4 times... so basically everyone is having the same problem... i guess we just gotta wait til apple realizes that they have a big problem to fix and does something for us

Have you tried the standard fixes in order:
    - Reset:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Retore the iPod from backup
    - Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • Ipod touch freeze, why?

My ipod touch freezes sometimes while surfing the web. Sometimes it also jumps back by itself to the homescreen. Why does these things happen?
I put a large 2 mb book as a bookmark in safari with the help a filemaker, can this give these problems?

there is a program called filemarkmaker, when you drop a pdf file on it, it will convert this pdf into a bookmark. I believe it encodes the whole pdf file into the bookmark in safari. This way, you can read the pdf offline on the ipod. It works very good, but takes some time to open it. I thought, maybe this could be give some problems.

  • IPod Touch freezes up.

My iPod Touch freezes up, sometimes with a blank screen sometimes with the Apple logo. This happens unpredictably and has occered with greater frequency to the point where it now fails within minutes of startup.  I have rebooted (now may require several attempts); done a full restore; reloaded OS; depleted battery fully and recharged.  None of those helped.  Running out of ideas.

It is reoccurs after restoring to factory settings/new iPod that indicates a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and hear what they have to say.

  • Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white.

Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white. Ihave restarted it and restored it but it didn't work. Anyone know what is wrong with it and how it can be fixed?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • Why does my 3rd generation iPod touch freeze and crash randomly?

My sister has a used 3rd Gen iPod touch. It looks fine, not much physical damage beyond normal wear. But it will continuly randomly freeze and crash. It will shut off and we have to turn it back on, only to have it crash again. The frequency of this varies and resetting it and restoring it to factory setting make no difference. Is there anything we could do to fix it?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If it still occurs that indicates a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Ipod touch freezing

My Ipod touch 1.1.4 with update has started freezing when in sleep mode i.e it will not wake up after going to sleep for more than 1 minute. I have to reset by holding the sleep and home keys down till the apple logo appears, I have also tried restoring a new settings without joy. I also have tried to downgrade to 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 but only get an unknown error (1). The Ipod will not start up when plugged into itunes when in this state.
    any advise greatly appreciated

I have been relieved of my ipod touch, however as the technicians found a hardware issue they have sent me a shiney brand new ipod which I have received today and after putting all my tracks, movies and pictures on it have been playing with it and am glad to report that it is perfect. Unfortunately I could not get an indepth report of the fault but was only told it was a hardware issue.
Hopefully you get your ipod sorted.
    Good luck

  • Ipod Touch freezes with Itunes

I have a 4th Gen Ipod Touch and have Windows Vista and after the new update of Itunes 10.4.1, it freezes Itunes when connected to my computer. Itunes works fine when the Ipod is not connected, but once I connect the Ipod the program freezes. If I disconnect my Ipod then it unfreezes and begins to work again.
I've tried restarting my computer, reinstalling Itunes, and trying all the different USB ports in my laptop since that worked once when Itunes wasn't seeing my Ipod.
I believe it is a syncing issue because the first sync that my Ipod does with Itunes is very slow and takes up to 20 mintues to finish. After the first sync everything begins to work fine and at a normal speed.
I ran a diagnostic on Itunes and it told me that everything is fine but it can't read my Ipod even when it's plugged in.
Is anyone experiencing a similar problem, or knows of a good solution?

  • Ipod touch freezes when plugging into ford escape via aux input (not sync)

My daughter tried to plug her ipod touch into her escape using line-in and it freezes.  My son's does not.  His is newer than hers.  Can I assume a software update will correct her problem?  She says she has never updated the ipod software...don't know if its 1st or 2nd generation.  Her escape does not have Sync, just an aux input jack.

  • IPod Touch freezing during restore

I have a 16GB iPod Touch 2nd generation and I am trying to install OS 4.0 and it's been an absolute nightmare. I downloaded the new software (which took quite a while since it kept giving me an error which made me restart the download like 4 times).
So now I'm in the process of actually INSTALLING that software. When I plug my iPod Touch into iTunes it says it sees the iPod is in recovery mode and asks me to restore my ipod (the only option it is allowing me to access is the "Restore" button, so all the "Update" errors are out of the question here).
When I "restore" my iPod however, the process get's about 1/4 of the way through before it freezes and the progress indicator on my iPod AND the progress indicator in iTunes stays at the same place and doesn't move. Even after letting it sit ALL night last night (about 8 hours) it STILL hadn't moved when I woke up this morning.
Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

    I may have a solution...
I phoned Apple Support this evening around 7pm and they were really helpful. My ipod is at least back on - albeit with everything wiped - but it's currently resyncing.
They walked me through these steps:
    1. Quit iTunes (Force Quit if you have to)
    2. Disconnect the ipod from your computer
    3. Create a new user account (I named mine Dummy)
    4. Log out and log in to the new User account
    5. Press and hold the power button on the iPod to turn the thing off - if it doesn't go off, then press the home button briefly as well so that it does.
    6. Open iTunes
    7. reconnect the iPod to your computer and once the usb cable is inserted fully, press the home button on the ipod to switch it on
    8. iTunes should detect the iPod and offer to restore it. Accept the restore option.
    9. iTunes will download the software (took about 10 minutes for me - 315Gb) and then you need to follow the instructions and accept the software license agreement.
    10. In iTunes, you should see the "restoring iPod Software", "verifying iPod software", etc and once done your iPod should run good as new.
Safely disconnect the iPod (make sure you eject it first), log out of the dummy account and back into your regular one. Open iTunes, reconnect your iPod and iTunes should start to restore the iPod from the backup made earlier.
Be patient with that last one if you've got a lot of data backed up!
I really hope this helps others - my backup restoration still hasn't finished yet, but it's looking promising. I performed all this on a MacBook Pro, but from the way the support lady kept thinking I was running Windoze, I guess the same process will work in that OS too.
Oh - and phoning Apple support didn't cost me a penny despite being well outside the 90 days... in fact, because I'd never called them before, they granted me a 45 day warranty and offered me the option of taking out an extended 12 months too (for £39). I haven't taken them up on that yet, but seriously thinking about it - seems cheaper than buying a new iPod...
    Peace

  • IPod Touch freezing everyday

    Hi,
I'vd had my Touch since October and never had any problems with it. For the last week everytime I sync my Touch in my computer and unplug it when it's done syncing, the touch freezes (everytime) and I have to do a hard reset to get it working again. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Do you think that I have a virus on my Mac or IPod Touch?
I really don't want to take it in to the Genius Bar (unless I can't solve this problem myself) because I have a invisashield on the back of my ipod. If I take it in and exchange it then I will have to spend another $25 to buy another invisashield.
Does anyone know what's going on with my IPod. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

If there was malicious code within one of your tracks you'd still have to install it as Admin within OS X to allow it to be executed (of course if you've ripped CDs or purchased iTS content you can discount that).
Far more likely there is corruption in either iTunes or the iPod firmware.
    cheers

  • Ipod Touch Freezes Windows

My ipod touch worked with my computer for a couple of months, I didn't download anything new, or change anything. Suddenly whenever I plug any Ipod into my computer the computer freezes and I have to do a hard restart. Other things will work in my USB ports, just not the ipods. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I need help. Everytime I plug my Ipod Touch to my laptop, my Ipod suddenly shuts down and gives me the following message: Check to be sure you have adequate space. If a driver is identified in this stop message, disable driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changin video adopters. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable compenents, restart your computer...
I also tried plugging in my Ipod TOuch in my Lenovo laptop but i got the same message. I did not have a problem though plugging this to our desktop. Kindly help.
